Thanks for sharing this. I am just learning about the marching band culture at HBCUs. One of the first videos I saw was with Marvin Meda...I did not know his name...but there was something about the way he lead the band and commanded respect. He is definitely my favorite head drum major...even more so after this story.
It's 11/12/23. I saw a clip on Instagram of the updated 2023 band. Naturally my question was, "Did the Hispanic guy graduate"??? Folks answered me and said yes. I come to UA-cam wanting to see older clips....and now I'm in this house crine😂😂😂😂😂 He was truly a joy to watch!!!!!
Marvin will ALWAYs be a favorite...he has an IT factor...worked hard.... and didnt let stereotypes and expectations affect him!
