@ACompetitiveHalo He had his left foot over the left kick pedal AND the hihat at the same time. I think he was "leading" with his left foot too, so he was playing 8th notes starting on the 1 with the left kick and hihat simultaneously and playing between those 8th notes with the right kick.
I just got an Iron Cobra...I tried them both out, Speed cobra was only 10 dollars more but it felt heavier than the Iron cobra so I just got that, it's tough for me to decide which one to get
@DannyDrumz trying a pedal in a drum store its a complete compromise.. sometimes the pedals feels heavier because of the position of the beaters and the spring tension.. when you try a pedal you need to ask to the seller that if you can adjust the pedals the way you like them.. that way you will know wich pedal works best for you (= i have an iron cobra and its completly kick ass but i have never tried the speed ones.. sorry for my bad english jajaja
I wear converse, Nike Cortez, and Adidas Gazelle. Cortez produces the slowest speed with sloppy control on my double taps. I do not recommend wearing Cortez while drumming. Converse or socks all the way.
@zimd Im sure you can order one spec for it. I do know that pdp makes a lefty double bass pedal, im right foot, but to be honest, i rather spend a little extra money for a double kick drum, and just throw dbl bass pedals out the window all together. It seems no matter what pedal i get on, there is always lag, and i spend more time adjusting the stupid bars, and length, than actually playing. I learned to play drums on a single kick pedal, and learned double and triple rolls with a single pedal.
@aztasarg Actually no, he shouldn't. Any professional drummer or sound tech will tell you a kick should be tightened JUST far enough that the head isn't wrinkled. This ensures that you get the most appropriate and 'true' tone out of your kick.
@blica1 Yeah but the doubles have 2 times as more stuff/parts, and have more crap that can go wrong....So just think, if the double is that good, than the single should be even better.
how about showing drummers that don't play double kick pedals, and have them demonstrate on the single pedal as well.??..it almost seems as if Tama is targeting the metal genre and nothing else... ...not fair...

trust me, you don't want them to be direct. the chain gives so much power and feeling, this is special on the speed cobra
I've tried these and they're fantastic!! I even convinced my friend to buy some and she would never go back to what she had
Lars Ulrich: Not on a Speed Cobra Artist's Response, Never on a Iron Cobra Review....Fails on his own signature snare drum demo
damn, never know he could be that bad
Well lars doesnt use speed cobras so clearly he wouldnt be reviewing them! And he started using iron cobras way after they came out
Honestly, he has the exact same setup I want later on, only the gong drum would be on the left.
tempesta is an awesome drummer
How the heck Every time I see John Tempesta I remember Renegade on drums.
what a finesse ....

from the Ludwig "Speed King" pedal of the past to the now more resent Tama "Cobra Speed" pedal.

Omg... first eargasm. Ever.
I have the money for them but I'm a lefty! When are they releasing the left footed versions anyone???
awesome drummer
do those shoes come with the pedal as well?

hey does anyone know the measurements of the beater shaft?

His Snare Def Has A Tight Fat Sound
What a beast!
Does anybody know if this pedal comes with it's own case if you buy it through guitar center?

how is he playing with the hi hats opening and closing, yet doing double bass at the same time?
for his pace he don't need the speedcobra
I prefer long boards as well.
Like as Dom Famularo playing :)
what nike is that??
The foot board moves a lot at the heel part and makes noise.
Dude, fuck the SpeedCobra, where can I get them Nike's?
I keed, I keed. ;P
i got a hard plastic case which looks very much like a el. drill case wf my pedal, thts how tama pack their pedals
Has anyone tried his snare ?
@inlight21 the kick doesn't have enough attack..it's too muffled or boomy, needs more machine gun click.
@aztasarg why, what happens?
@blica1 Yeah but the doubles have 2 times as more stuff/parts, and have more crap that can go wrong....So just think, if the double is that good, than the single should be even better.
@aztasarg Don't tell a professional drummer what to do with his drums, trust me, I learned the hard way
his shoes are nike cortez
@SnareMasta2011 Actually, his comment was from 9 months ago lol
john tempesta is using my fucking sneakers!!!
This isn't John Tempesta it's Eric Bana.
Speed cobra artist response : Chuck Testa :)
@Mp5Drummer always
Sounds like my kit, except for the bass drum.
he should tighten the base drum head
Preference of sound...
Why?
@ACompetitiveHalo he has hit feet on both pedals...
@kijkenify Agreed
Send me one.
definitivamente me he enamorado del speed cobra *^* igual del eliminator demon drive de pearl D:

@inlight21 IIRC he is playing a star classic bubinga.
@aztasarg Specially when you can't spell "Bass" right and it sounds perfect.
eliminators, with a bit of tuning not so bad! but i wouldn't buy them again.
1:48 hmmm,lol
@Xeklan In Mother Russia, shoe wear you!
@thedrummerdude777 Hell yeah man i agree!!! hahahaha
@TheBrownMan2112 dude those are some dirty Nike's hahahaha
@SnareMasta2011 Ctrl+F is your friend.
@fullyAsianeric The speed cobra is lighter, faster , lower mass and more articulate than the over priced, over hyped demon drive.
@Chrisdrumz your wrong
then i guess tama isn't your choice ;)
@fjoesnisse What's fun about it??!
lol
right after you learn how to spell 'bass'
He plays the same thing over and over again👎
