It's been a while since I played, but in the original video game i don't think the character had a name. You just had one unknown soldier. But I have not played the newer versions of the video games, so that may have changed.
This game looks awesome. Very nice components to be honest. Are you doing a tutorial as well?

I stand corrected according to Wikipedia, his name is William Joseph "B.J." Blazkowicz
