Really impressed with the quality in camera work and editing, usually race shops don't really know how to do UA-cam, so this is quite an interesting UA-cam channel
Actually they jumped like almost 17k right after they started posting Mikes car then like 14k, then 11k then 4k, 2k and 1k so the hype fell off. But I have been watching them at the track and before their UA-cam Series (or how ever /what ever you want to name it) and not only do I want to see them build more in subs, I want to see a ProCharger Mikes Z06 as well. So push some word of mouth, shares etc. Yeah some will say well it don't help (me, us etc) but shit they are a awesome shop, and the Series are put together great and they know what they are doing for sure. Plus Would it not be awesome for Mike put his build against that guy that has 2 ZL1's haha!!! (and before the trolls roll, yeah I know they friends)
Now that I say that we need to blow Mike up and tell him to let RPM do their magic! haha He already said that this will be his drag car, so roll cage etc go big or go home that's what they say right! lol
That was exactly my thought on watching the video, the parts combination are why the car did the numbers it does, not really the people that did the work. Maybe Mike can name the car the "time and money" car lol (a friends race boat is called that)
It like saying Andy need to tell mike what could happen by putting a smaller pulley in the supercharger and big one in the bottom I’m not saying Andy didn’t do his job but he should know what happens it like putting a big blower and cam in a motor that well over it miles not going to work

Mike just announced hes gonna do the Procharger and is gonna get the Z to 1000 rwhp....get job talking him into it...I can NOT wait to see how that build goes....and no one knows how to put them in...with other supporting mods, and tune them the right way...to get the max out of the set up....the first time he drives it when its over 1000 at the wheel...hes gonna shit himself!!! Lmfao!!! Great job guys...and I am so happy he has brought so much attention to you guys and your amazing work....hooking up with him is gonna be great for business at the shop....and I know you guys will keep it humble and will NEVER let the work go out half assed because you are "too busy"...besides....you know these cars inside and out....so any type of installs are gonna get done 1..2..3....and be done 100% the right way.....congrats again!!
boost is really only a measurement of resistance in airflow in the engine, 15 psi isn't not normal with all the mods done. Bigger pulley would pick up some boost if the blower isn't already spinning at its Max rpm to make boost. Put that same blower and pulley on stock car and boost will probably be higher due to the airflow restrictions of stock heads, cam, intake, exhaust..etc. People get to caught up in psi thinking that's all there is to making big power
Mike's engine bay @ 06:33 looks nice and clean, too bad the clips showing it were so short. Don't be afraid of showcasing your work - It looked nice. :)
I think that going with a larger crank pulley would help bring the boost back up and not drop off then come back. He mentioned that there was a small blower pulley and a smaller crank pulley. The math doesn't work for that setup and the drivetrain timing at the moment.
One thing I have wanted to see for a while is the car segments posted up separately. Could be easy to edit down for the following week "off days". Like next Tuesday or Thursday have the ZL1 dyno and then Mike's car the other day just as a segment on their own.
I would put a stock supercharger back on it and not change anything else first. Ketech did a port job on that supercharger if I remember correctly. If they botched something in it they need to know that.
It's not that its an auto. For whatever reason, Mike's setup isn't making the boost it should be making. RPM guys are going to have to figure out why ( bad cam and heads choice maybe?)
Have you guys looked at the flow data for the heads? Could it be that the intake is bottle necking the air at higher RPM causing a boost drop? If the engine can flow faster from the charge vessel faster than the compressor can pull air from the tube it would produce a drop proportionate to the RPM.

A bigger cam, ported heads or any other VE enhancements will actually lower boost with the same blower and pulley selection because it is a positive displacement blower. Since then engine is more efficient that amount of air enters and exits the engine better. The power would be about the same too but at the lower boost. When you then spin the blower faster (unless maxed out) to get the boost back to the target boost you make more power at same boost because it is moving more air. If the belt is not slipping (stated to not be slipping in the video) the smaller pulley set if it has the same ratio would not be the reason it is dropping boost. If the belt was slipping the larger pulleys would give more belt contact and traction to allow the belt to not slip. I think if you looked at uncorrected numbers from the outdoor dyno you would see the car making similar power because there is a restriction. A much bigger blower but still a TVS or a billet Twin Screw (Kenne Bell or Whipple would be my choice over a Procharger.
Looking forward to seeing this ZL1, wish he did the full ARH setup with his existing mufflers. That would be a nice setup and would make power... Damn I never got a sweatshirt :(

James Shaver does the degree centerline on a cam affect wether or not the engine is supercharged? Like a 110 degree centerline instead of a 114 for example? Either way, if Mike's z06 has had a cam swap?

I have one of only a handful of stock engine, stock non ported blower, cobras to make over 500whp. It's stock upper pulley with a +12lb lower which is like 42.666% bigger than stock. So I'm all about that stock upper Bigger lower!! Good luck guys! Mike will go ProCharger because he can!

You want a big lower and a small upper. To affectively create more boost.
That is what we saw Andy fitting a big lower polished alu lower and a small upper.
10% Lower is not "Big" it's big in appearance but not what we run.
Formula 1Fan should of done a bigger lower like %15 or 18 and stock upper.
We typically do 18% lower and stock upper on ours and see around 780whp and steady boost around 17psi
On a sidenote, that supercharger hasn't had a peaceful life ... maybe some premature wear and bad seals is giving you grief ?
