I am in England and I was given a James Avery heart with a cross in the centre from my Goddaughters and have worn it for over 40 years. I get comments about it all the time here in the UK.
I like how you don't just showcase food, but you also go for the history and today, a business with a shared history and success story. Many thanks for helping us understand how blessed we are to be Texans. Please do me a super huge favor and see if my stone dam is still there under the overpass near Pecos. My dad drove us there for private family outings and when I was 12 years old I built a dam somewhere near Pecos under an overpass highway bridge. That would have been five decades ago and we called it, Willie's Dam. We move to South Texas after I built it and I was just hoping, no one tore it up. Thank you for anything you offer and the great show. Be blessed always 🙏
And here I thought Kerrville was lame I’m a resident and I had no idea it was this cool lol thank u for putting it into perspective I’m glad to live here now
Wow, had no idea about that gorgeous cross in Kerrville. I predict an upcoming daytrip for me! Too cold now for the Ingram dam slide but it can happen next summer. Never been to the Hunt Store; looks intriguing and worthy of a trip, too.
Hi, my dad has a room for rent in Kerville tx. The apartment has all the services. The room is next to the bathroom. Good size. Very good lighting. Air-conditioning. In fact there is a room inside the gated community with 2 washing machines and 2 clothes dryers. They have cost. The apartment well located. Very calm. It's families that live here. It is close to an HEB (walking I do 6 minutes) Walmart, restaurants, downtown Kerrville, Gas Station, etc. With a car it would be closer to everything. There is a lot of security here. Most are retired from the army and take great care of the city.
god bless your heart. i been growing hill country 25 years and i have never seen such dispresect to my people. this travesty never mentioned my billy genes
When I was a little kid (in the 1960s) our family would always go to The Chatterbox Cafe for breakfast. It was small, but the food was great. I supposed it's probably gone now.
I currently live in Kerrville and although I'm moving back to my hometown of Abilene in a few months, I realize how little I have actually seen of Kerrville. I'm going to visit every place you showed and also the surrounding towns. Thank you so much.
@@ratfink65 I drive to Boerne every week. From my apartment, near Louis Hayes park, it is nearly 20 minutes faster to go on I-10 vs 27 through Center Point and Comfort. May be flat, but it is slower.
Ok ok I’m in Castroville go to Kerrville all the time but I was born in Small town east Texas named Kirbyville lol people are like kerrville nope kirbyville crazy
I am just west of San Antonio. I wonder if you have been to the shrine of Schönstatt?( Just north of San Antonio) Named for the town of Vallendar near Koblenz, in Germany. Apostolic Movement of Schoenstatt. Formation. 18 October 1914. Germans are responsible to much of the early growth of Texas and Christianity. Been to Ingram Dam many a time...busted my butt from time to time. :p
I'm sure they have a good reason for it but at the cross they won't let you have weddings there anymore. I went to a wedding there years ago and it seemed like a really great place to do that but now they won't allow it.
Born and raised in Kerrville. There is a whole lot about Avery's that wasn't covered. Mainly the designers that were hired for short periods to get their ideas and then fired. The strong arm tactics used in the early days to eliminate competition. They have also moved away from the quality standards they once had to mass production where fair has become the standard.
I'm disappointed. We watched this video and decided to take a day trip and when we visited the Hunt Store they didn't have any of the items shown on your video 😢 they said they hadn't had shrimp for quite awhile. When were you there for this video?
Wow! I live in Kerrville and I never knew how great it was!😂 Thanks for showcasing our beautiful little city…And our awesome neighbors.
Thank you for showing the empty cross here. I can't wait to go and see it. Also love James Avery jewelry.

We love visiting the Empty Cross in Kerrville every Easter weekend. A great road trip!
Wow you were in my home town . I'm glad you had fun sir
Lived in San Antonio for 4yrs and never visited Kerrville. Thanks for sharing this great place.
The Cross on the Hill is special place.

It’s not there
That Chicken fried steak looked great 👍👍. Enjoyed the video, Kerrville is a great town.
Sweet! More hill country.
I love the cross
And here I thought Kerrville was lame I’m a resident and I had no idea it was this cool lol thank u for putting it into perspective I’m glad to live here now
It is lame lol. It’s a boring dump of a town that most regret visiting while going to Fredericksburg.
Don't forget about the Stonehenge Replica in Odessa!
Since the 1970’ and the Kerrville Folk Fest, many claim to be “Kerrverts”!
I’ve driven from El Paso to San Antonio a 100 times and only stopped in Kerville off the I 10 for gas….. never again! Awesome job
Awesome. Then I've done my job.
it's EXACTLY 500 miles from Kerrville to El Paso!

Lived there 15 years , LOVED IT!!!
Schreiner University was also Summer Training Camp for the Houston Oilers from 1968~1975! Check it!

This place is going to be a hot destination for the 2024 solar eclipse!
Fucking lovely. 😑
The current estimation is an extra 300,000 people.
Bracing ourselves already. Expect 200,000 for a week in a town of 24,000 people. All RV and campsites and hotel rooms taken six months ago.
I’m dreading it
There's airbnb listings between Fredericksburg and Kerrpatch for 20k! It's going to be pure hell.
I actually live in Kerrville right now
Welcome to Kerrville. LOL
Just discovered your channel and subscribed . Nice job !
Welcome aboard!

My mother was manager there at that time .
@@levicraig3077 That's awesome! I probably met her, but of course I was just a kid then.

It’s not 90 miles from San Antonio, closer to 61 miles.
I think 56 from The Rim on I10 West.
65 miles via I-10...57 miles via I-10 to Comfort, then Hwy. 27 thru Center Point...slower, but faster? it's FLAT is why!

I often play music near Earl Garrett and Main...hope to see some of your viewers. Kerrville is an interesting little city.
We used to go down there ,there was a big metal slide on the river

Hi, if you know anyone that’s looking for a room, my dad has a room for rent in Kerrville ! :)

I don't think you've covered Cameron, Texas. Quite a few hidden gems, including Tex Miller's. Check it all out.
