I view bali as a tool to cut my bonds and attachments to wants and desires instead of a weapon. *Does God Exist?* God makes sense of the origin of the universe. God makes sense of the fine-tuning of the universe for intelligent life. God makes sense of objective moral values in the world. God makes sense of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. God can be immediately known and experienced. *_The absurdity of life without God_* Now Let's start from scratch. Well begin by saying god does not exist.(though truly that statement cannot be said because all religions including atheism are based on faith.) The 3 notions -meaning, value, and purpose- All closely related have distinct meanings. Meaning Has to do with significance and why something matters. Value has to do with good and evil, right and wrong. Purpose has to do with goal, a reason for something. My claim is if there is no god, then Meaning, Value and Purpose are ultimately human delusions. “ If atheism is true life is really objectively meaningless, valueless, and purposeless, despite our subjective beliefs to the contrary.” What William Lane Craig is saying is that although that some atheists try to put meaning to life, by being “Good people, or saints” they are just trying to make themselves feel better. Which is sort of ironic because many atheists tend to try to put religious beings down by saying things such as “You people just can’t except the fact that there is no god and your just trying to make yourself feel better because your afraid of the eternal void and darkness.” which is partly true, no one wants to be in an eternal void or darkness. But there are some exceptions. What is the point to living? Why do you have to go to school, work, get a job, have a family, abide by the law the list goes on and on. Some atheists have given this idea thought and become nihilists, not giving single care in life of what is going to happen to them, and/or others. Truly, the majority of atheists prefer there to not be an almighty being, because they are afraid of the consequences that they will have to face. This is perfectly understandable. They want to continue to sin and be immoral. And what’s the only way to possibly do this? By there being no god. A void sounds pretty nice when being compared to literally everlasting, infinite time of torture in hell. The illogical part of this though is that they lose literally nothing by being religious. An agnostic philosopher once said “What's the point of not being christian? You have everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose.” What? If there is just darkness, you think you can just say to the religious “ HA! Suck it I was right you were wrong.” Sorry, that’s not how it works. *_The deception of good and evil_* As I was saying, Without god, Good and Evil do not exist. What device is used to measure this astonishing force. Why can I say that charity is good but rape is bad? On the atheistic view, some action, say, rape, may not be socially advantageous and so in the course of evolution has become taboo; but that does absolutely nothing to prove that rape is really wrong. According to what? If there is no god there there is no punishment, but there is also no ruler(measurement). On the atheistic view, apart from the social consequences, there's nothing really wrong with your raping someone. Thus, without God there is no absolute right and wrong which imposes itself on our conscience. But the problem is that objective values do exist, and deep down we all know it. There's no more reason to deny the objective reality of moral values than the objective reality of the physical world. For example, the late J. L. Mackie of Oxford University, one of the most influential atheists of our time, admitted: "If . . . there are . . . objective values, they make the existence of a God more probable than it would have been without them. Thus, we have a defensible argument from morality to the existence of a God." But in order to avoid God's existence, Mackie therefore denied that objective moral values exist. He wrote, "It is easy to explain this moral sense as a natural product of biological and social evolution . . . ." If Morality was not invented, but discovered in humans, then it must have been created for a reason, such as the existence of god. As Ruse himself confesses, "The man who says that it is morally acceptable to rape little children is just as mistaken as the man who says, 2+2=5." If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist. Objective moral values do exist. Therefore, God exists. *_The Origin of the universe_* As we Know Science Shows The big bang is true As the physicist P. C. W. Davies explains, "the coming into being of the universe, as discussed in modern science . . . is not just a matter of imposing some sort of organization . . . upon a previous incoherent state, but literally the coming-into-being of all physical things from nothing." Of course, alternative theories have been crafted over the years to try to avoid this absolute beginning, but none of these theories has commended itself to the scientific community as more plausible than the Big Bang theory. In fact, in 2003 Arvind Borde, Alan Guth, and Alexander Vilenkin were able to prove that any universe which is, on average, in a state of cosmic expansion cannot be eternal in the past but must have an absolute beginning. Vilenkin pulls no punches: It is said that an argument is what convinces reasonable men and a proof is what it takes to convince even an unreasonable man. With the proof now in place, cosmologists can no longer hide behind the possibility of a past-eternal universe. There is no escape, they have to face the problem of a cosmic beginning. @@Kqvz0 don't force your beliefs on people. That's the reason many people leave their churches, they don't feel comfortable with the pressure. Threatening someone isn't a good way to have them believe in something.
@@Kqvz0 Don't challenge people to do anything. Encourage them to learn more about the church. Too many negative connotations with being born again nowadays. It's almost like politics, we all are at each other's throats because we can't talk to each other like normal people.

@@owensummers275 It has everything to do with our presentation. We need to be the light of the world. Just telling people things isn't enough. We need to be the best people they know. That is more than enough to sway them to join our course. Fellow communion with non-believers and believers will bring the astray home. That is all. God does work in mystery ways, I just don't believe that saying things at people over the internet helps very much. There is no "fellowship" in that manner.

*Does God Exist?*
God makes sense of the origin of the universe.
God makes sense of the fine-tuning of the universe for intelligent life.
God makes sense of objective moral values in the world.
God makes sense of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
God can be immediately known and experienced.
*_The absurdity of life without God_*
Now Let's start from scratch. Well begin by saying god does not exist.(though truly that statement cannot be said because all religions including atheism are based on faith.) The 3 notions -meaning, value, and purpose- All closely related have distinct meanings. Meaning Has to do with significance and why something matters. Value has to do with good and evil, right and wrong. Purpose has to do with goal, a reason for something.
My claim is if there is no god, then Meaning, Value and Purpose are ultimately human delusions. “ If atheism is true life is really objectively meaningless, valueless, and purposeless, despite our subjective beliefs to the contrary.” What William Lane Craig is saying is that although that some atheists try to put meaning to life, by being “Good people, or saints” they are just trying to make themselves feel better. Which is sort of ironic because many atheists tend to try to put religious beings down by saying things such as “You people just can’t except the fact that there is no god and your just trying to make yourself feel better because your afraid of the eternal void and darkness.” which is partly true, no one wants to be in an eternal void or darkness. But there are some exceptions.
What is the point to living? Why do you have to go to school, work, get a job, have a family, abide by the law the list goes on and on. Some atheists have given this idea thought and become nihilists, not giving single care in life of what is going to happen to them, and/or others. Truly, the majority of atheists prefer there to not be an almighty being, because they are afraid of the consequences that they will have to face. This is perfectly understandable. They want to continue to sin and be immoral. And what’s the only way to possibly do this? By there being no god. A void sounds pretty nice when being compared to literally everlasting, infinite time of torture in hell. The illogical part of this though is that they lose literally nothing by being religious. An agnostic philosopher once said “What's the point of not being christian? You have everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose.” What? If there is just darkness, you think you can just say to the religious “ HA! Suck it I was right you were wrong.” Sorry, that’s not how it works.
*_The deception of good and evil_*
As I was saying, Without god, Good and Evil do not exist. What device is used to measure this astonishing force. Why can I say that charity is good but rape is bad? On the atheistic view, some action, say, rape, may not be socially advantageous and so in the course of evolution has become taboo; but that does absolutely nothing to prove that rape is really wrong. According to what? If there is no god there there is no punishment, but there is also no ruler(measurement). On the atheistic view, apart from the social consequences, there's nothing really wrong with your raping someone. Thus, without God there is no absolute right and wrong which imposes itself on our conscience.
But the problem is that objective values do exist, and deep down we all know it. There's no more reason to deny the objective reality of moral values than the objective reality of the physical world.
For example, the late J. L. Mackie of Oxford University, one of the most influential atheists of our time, admitted: "If . . . there are . . . objective values, they make the existence of a God more probable than it would have been without them. Thus, we have a defensible argument from morality to the existence of a God." But in order to avoid God's existence, Mackie therefore denied that objective moral values exist. He wrote, "It is easy to explain this moral sense as a natural product of biological and social evolution . . . ." If Morality was not invented, but discovered in humans, then it must have been created for a reason, such as the existence of god.
As Ruse himself confesses, "The man who says that it is morally acceptable to rape little children is just as mistaken as the man who says, 2+2=5."
If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist.
Objective moral values do exist.
Therefore, God exists.
*_The Origin of the universe_*
As we Know Science Shows The big bang is true
As the physicist P. C. W. Davies explains, "the coming into being of the universe, as discussed in modern science . . . is not just a matter of imposing some sort of organization . . . upon a previous incoherent state, but literally the coming-into-being of all physical things from nothing."
Of course, alternative theories have been crafted over the years to try to avoid this absolute beginning, but none of these theories has commended itself to the scientific community as more plausible than the Big Bang theory.
In fact, in 2003 Arvind Borde, Alan Guth, and Alexander Vilenkin were able to prove that any universe which is, on average, in a state of cosmic expansion cannot be eternal in the past but must have an absolute beginning. Vilenkin pulls no punches:
It is said that an argument is what convinces reasonable men and a proof is what it takes to convince even an unreasonable man. With the proof now in place, cosmologists can no longer hide behind the possibility of a past-eternal universe. There is no escape, they have to face the problem of a cosmic beginning.
That problem was nicely captured by Anthony Kenny of Oxford University. He writes, "A proponent of the Big Bang theory, at least if he is an atheist, must believe that the universe came from nothing and by nothing."
But surely that doesn't make sense!
Out of nothing, nothing comes. So why does the universe exist instead of just nothing? Where did it come from? There must have been a cause which brought the universe into being.
Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
The universe began to exist.
Therefore, the universe has a cause
