    for orthorhombic, a, b , c are not equal. so won't the formula for interplanar distance must be changed?

    Sir i hav one doubt...in last qstn it was given orthorhombic in all lenths are not equal so hw can we use cubic lattice formula for distance between the two planes

  • @iftkharwani3353
    @iftkharwani3353 6 років тому +2

    Sir in last question there is orthorhombic cell for which value of a, b and c are different. But u have taken it as a cubic cell for which a, b and c have same values.

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  6 років тому

      a here is not the length of all three sides of the unit cell, a is interplannar distance.
      Plz don't get confused between the two. Both are two different things.

    • @ashwinigawane9414
      @ashwinigawane9414 4 роки тому

      @@AllBoutChemistry No sir "a" is not a interplaner distance...."d" is a interplaner distance....in this formula....and orthorohmic unit cell k liye a≠b≠c hota hai.
