i know this is old video but i just bought one of these and it wont go into gear . is there an plate that comes off that i can get into to look inside the trans to see why it wont go into gear ?
Unfortunately that part is very hard to source. Your best bet would be to try and match one up as a local dealer may have one bit fitted to another model. It is also possible to get one made by copying the original and using measurements of the lift cylinder bore
Hello Jon ,I have 1971 130 Vineyard tractor I rescued from a tractor wrecking yard in Chehalis Wa USA in 1985 Overhauled and just had my hydraulic lift apart because a paper hydraulic filter self destructed and paper filter pieces clogged the valve control body . I inspected my cylinder and neoprene sealing ring .The ring was worn and the lift would not hold a load in transport mode . I found a lift cylinder sealing ring at Massey Ferguson dealer in Yakima Washington " Yakima Implement " Washington State USA 1-509-452-5867 ask for Mike ( hes an older guy by knows the parts books to find rare MF parts ) he found one in a warehouse in Illinois state the new part number is 968973M1 . Any Massey dealer should have the Parts books with updated numbers . the Hydraulic filter also hard to find is 969237M1 Hope that helps ,Yours ,Kim
@@tractionengine11 Thanks for doing the MF 130 tractor overhaul video .There are very few 130s in the USA and info is hard to come by . My tractor had a destroyed hydraulic sump seal where the oil for the lift is picked up for the hydraulics into the top cover . I used a neoprene antenna seal which has been less than perfect . Your video showa a large o-rind and flared aluminum tube to hold it in place it looks like ? Is it a large o-ring as I described ? thanks , yours , Kim Dobson
i have just taken the top cover off my massey 130. I have lift but its not strong lifts 250 kilo but thats about it. wondering if you know what I should look for once I get in there. thanks ,
+lougheed101 key things to look out for on the hydraulics are to check the valves are sealing properly and also it is wise to check the rubber seal on the end of piston in the lift ram as if it leaks oil will be able to flow out which will cause a loss of pressure or reduced performance hope this helps
thanks , ive replaced the seal on lift piston, and all o rings that I can see. When you say to check the valves are sealing properly what do you mean by that?
+lougheed101 when i checked mine i oiled the valves up and slid them in and out of the valve block they should make a slight sucking sound but usually they don't wear out it may also be worth checking to see if the pressure relief valves are not stuck open as if they are pressure in the system wont build up fully it will either have no movement but if they are leaking you may get some slight movement in the lift arms hope this helps
how is the hydraulic output controlled?

Looking good and working. More boxes ticked well done.
Cheers, I can say we are finally getting there. Next stop is the steering
