I haven't fought in a gym before but its really no brain damage? it looks like they're getting hit hard but might just be me. Like I said I'm not experienced, just curious.
@@ezralikepie the contact level that these guys are going at I’d say headgear is a good idea, but it looks worse than it is. You’ll notice they purposely hit each other’s gloves and slow down head shots.
@@ezralikepie it’s a norm to pull your punches to the head to just touch the guy instead of driving your fist trough out contact and it look like this guys are doing this but body shots tend to be at full force
Great gym for sure and awesome spar sessions. It varies with each fighter though. You have a spectrum in there where most do pull punches and some of those that go harder. When you see someones head get snapped back and from experience, you know which fighters are safer to spar with. To say nobody gets brain damage is an ignorant statement. They rack to up to CTE over time.
It's scary, how most of these lads are just "normal" body type build and they possess such an amazing striking skills. Most people on this planet think, that you should be avoiding fights with big muscley guys that look big and scary, but reality is so much different. Mad Respect to all of these guys, one day I'll reach level of your striking skills(I hope so) :-)

Always working from the centre of the ring walking down then smothering, used to hate guys like this as they wear you out completely then pick you off, dangerous guy
I haven't sparred since spring, it's been great to see you guys back in action. I can live it through you. You can in lockdown or can you get the pros together still?
Hi they most spar k1, but will bring some clinching rounds soon they practice a lot of wrestling which many have used to benefit their muay thai game 👊
This episode is awesome! Great rhythm, combos, ring controls, power controls, etc. What is the name of that black dude with fairtex shorts? He's GOOD...
thanks it was a good session, the next one is good too which will be out next week so toe to toe action in the next one. the guy in fairtex shorts is Tim "TNT" Thomas, former muay thai world champion been in the ring with many great fighters
Hes a good lad very tough and fights with cerebral palsy. But gives 110% like everyone hes old training partners with the guy he was sparring with who is a former world champion and legend of british muay thai.
Hi! Im new to muay thai, have been training just for a year. I have sparred a lot and watched videos for inspiration. What would you call this kind of fighting style? Seems like kickboxing? They are not kicking that much and not blocking kicks with their legs. Why is that? They are also really close to each other
these guys are sparring in a dutch/k1 style. some of the guys are muay thai fighters some kickboxers and some are pro mma fighters so it is a wide range of style but when they spar its dutch/k1. there are some pure muay thai sparring videos on my channel though it may be worth checking out to see the differences
Really love these spar wars !!! The brown guy with dark hair und beard is really good is he fighting professionell ? And can you maybe tell me whats the shin guard from him is named ?
I recognise this guy from another channel teaching self defence methods. Can't remember his name but he hasn't got a "fighter nickname" It's cool to see him in the ring sparring. I wonder what percentage of power they're putting in? Below 70%? Part of me wants to get in and dpar for just one minute, just to see if I can last lol. The other half is like "f#$k that! You've never even trained in Muay Thai" lol Really good to see hard sparring but with pacing, control and most importantly respect for training partner.
very nice, self-control and everything. More like learning sparring instead of hard sparring. But nobody is wearing a headguard ... why? Even a small innocent scratch on face can postpone your trainings for days.
Not sure of numbers but a lot they have competed since being young in Muay Thai. Ammari is now a kickboxer and Nathan had done some pro boxing recently but will fight in Muay Thai soon he fought Rambo Phet Tor Aor on Yokkao
Undeniably the sports best channel and series on UA-cam
thanks man, i am glad people are liking the spar wars series.
Agreed, from these videos you learn more then the tutorial videos people explaining the game
You keep training in confinement?
Definitely, by far
Couldn't agree more, only just found this after training MT for about 5-6 months now
Great control, everybody learns, nobody getting brain damage. Positive vibe, great example to other gyms.
