Another user of those cars is the Belt Railway of Chicago for ballast/ maintenance of way. While I have an open contempt for the BRC, don't let that stop you from using these cars for your MOW/ ballast trains... you could probably use them for general aggregates, such as limestone mining.

- Good to see! Seeing these is what inspired me to try out N scale. I model 2024+ in HO, so I figured another era would work for N scale. I did ask on a Ontario Northland group if the Dash 8s ever did haul these iron ore cars, as they where being built in the same year the ore cars where discontinued from ore service when the mines shut down.
- I hope you consider doing a new second run in HO, and more runs in N to make even longer unit trains!
