Natural instinct is to go to the darkest spot. If you have one that is having trouble finding the udder, keep them in bright light, so lamb goes to the dark spot under mom.
Getting the ewe to adopt the rejected lamb was awesome! Letting the 'stealer' ewe that had the stillborns keep the lamb it stole was truly a kindness to that poor mom. Thank you for having such a good heart! Congrats on getting 4th cut. As for Billy's mom, call her Stacy.
Was anyone else dying with laughter watching that lamb get covered in the sac fluid. The way the little lamb was being rubbed across the floor made my night! 😂
I cldn't help but laugh and smile when you were rubbing the lambs together so the mom would accept it.. That lil guy was prob like WOAH.. Hey.. What is going on!?!? WHAT AN AWESOME MAMMA!! This Lambing has been so exciting and fun to watch! Can't imagine how you feel being in the thick of it!!
This bought tears to my eyes, a new mummy for an orphan, the joy in your face was heart warming. You should be so proud of yourself, i agree Billy's mum so be named after Carissa for all her hard work
The look on the foster lamb's face was priceless. He could not figure out what you were doing, but he knew he was ready for a meal. So adorable. It seems like all of these lambs are cute.
That's just great the way you matched the mother to the orphaned lamb, by rubbing the mothers fluids on to him.👍 I never would have of that! You know your stuff girl. That's what keeps these baby lambs alive. Keep up the good! Love watching!❤️
Great save with putting the rejected lamb with the new mom. The lamb is like 'what the hell' 'oh look, milk'. Meantime, the ewe is totally fine with the introduction of another lamb.
I could just be a big sucker but when you gave the lamb the baby and she accepted it I just started to cry. That is just amazing that the baby was accepted.
Ah! That was such a beautiful moment you captured! I am loving how you are including these longer clips of the mama's giving birth, and it was so cool to see the fostering method happen up close.
I like the suggestion of Milly. Ties right in with Billy. Again, a wonderful video. You give me the encouragement I need to keep going on my farm. I'm in my 60s and disabled. I get discouraged often. You have a way of giving me the strength I need so, so many days. Im on the a farm and don't see or talk to anyone for days, you become my special friend. Thank you.💞
Hi Cathy, hang in there! Sandi also inspires me. I’m glad she gives you a lift and courage to continue with your farm. Good luck and God’s blessings to you. 🤗🌸🌹👍
I was happily surprised to see a video🥰. Just a little funny thing for you, my 3yr old was watching with me and she also watches the new my little pony. In My Little Pony the ponies have marks on their hind ends called cutie marks. She was looking at the dots and numbers on the ewes and she says to me "look momma the sheep have cutie marks!" So from now on thats all I'm going to see on the sheep, "cutie marks". Have a great day and thank you for sharing!💕🦋🍀
I've been going through some real medical doosies lately and your videos have helped me so much. Your videos remind me of when I was growing up and that's a fantastic thing. There's days I can barely leave my bed and that's so hard to live with but if I pop on one of your videos I get lost in the video & any sadness, frustration, loneliness all go away. I usually will go watch an old video after I watch the current one. Thank you for all you do. I admire you and you have an amazing family. 😊♥️💯
How about Willow or Willa for Billy's Mom? You are amazing! Getting that other ewe to accept the rejected lamb as her own, forming a set of twins? Brilliant!😊
I laughed when the lamb went under the sink to feed, but that was awesome the other mother took it, love it! Also love at 22:30, the beaming look of love and pride you have in your flock.
Aww. My heart melted with the orphaned lamb, and yet again when mama accepted it. So sweet when a plan comes together! btw, the hay field looks so nice and empty, ready for winter. You and Carissa are an awesome team!
Oh this video is so precious and perfect!!! A successful fostering is always the best thing ever!! That 4th harvest of hay, an awesome blessing for your farm!! No worries of food shortage for next year! Let's hope this is a new tradition for your fields!! Can you imagine always getting 4 cuts every year?!? That's super exciting to think about! I absolutely enjoyed this video, as always!! Thanks for sharing these good, and sad, moments of truth in lambing and farming. My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!!
My 7 yr old votes for the name Izabella Jean (thats her name) she loves all your videos and she now wants to be like Jess and drive a ginormous tractor 🚜 🎶 😉 Thank You and Jess for being role models for a little girl from Iowa
Fostering is never an easy so very well done, excellent technique in my opinion. Being there at just the right moment and appropriate quick action can lead to success. I just hope that it works out as you would wish.
Genius on fostering lambs!! I am learning things here (repositioning for birthing, etc) that I hope I don't have to apply to our dwarf goat farming, but if so, thank you for being very informational!!🙌🏻👏🏻
Sandi, look at the video, where you introduce the lamb. Watch the lamb, as you leave, I'm sure that's Thank You in those little eyes! Love you and family 💗 Keep being you! seems funny to say, but you bring such joy, an old man's day, in your videos!
Sandy , I have been watching for sometime now and I think a good name for Billy’s mom would be Billa , now for a little about me . I Have been enjoying your videos , I live in Louisiana and no I don’t want to start raising any critters of any type Even any more kiddos 4 is enough.Im 70 and retired. Keep your videos coming.
Sandy when u are up or down or having issues I feel for you. You are so strong and such an inspiration to so many people. Keep on doing what you do. I love your channel and only wish I had done more in my life You and your family rock, Yay Canada 🇨🇦
So, so, so, thankful you were able to graph that lamb onto its new mom. You are really good at that. Messy? Yes, but it's all for the lamb's sake. Much love to you, Sandi.

I love that the rejected lamb tried to nurse under your utility tub. I can see the confusion!!!
Yes! I had to laugh! Then off camera he went for the shelves - anything with four legs 😂😂😂
I was thinking the same too! The utility sink made sense considering the color & "legs". Then poor Kinsey wanted to lick it off too! Go Kinsey
Natural instinct is to go to the darkest spot. If you have one that is having trouble finding the udder, keep them in bright light, so lamb goes to the dark spot under mom.

In doing that made that baby lamb a better odds. The universe comment was good. Lol. I vet the ewes& babies are wondering what the heck was that?
♥️
The sink has four legs and is white. MOM!
Exactly!
Haha yes
Thats what I thought!
Yep, that was my thought too :-)
Think like a sheep.
Was anyone else dying with laughter watching that lamb get covered in the sac fluid. The way the little lamb was being rubbed across the floor made my night! 😂
I was the same. Was like marinating the lamb 😂
I was dying of laughter😂😂
Said before, I'll say it again. Thank GOD we don't have to lick our babies.
I was just imagining what could be going through the ewe's mind. "I'm just trying to get my babies clean, will you stop making them wet again"
I legit looked at that poor lambs face after it was all done and it was like... " I feel violated..." ten seconds later..
"MILK" XD
The other little lamb was like "seriously I think we're good 😂
On today’s episode of “Who’s your mommy? Featuring the Stealers” 🤣
This needs more likes like that is hilarious
Name suggestion for Billie's mom: since you call him Billie the Kid you should call her Jane for Calamity Jane 🤠
That would be sooo sooo cute omg
Omg yes please call her calamity, best film ever lol 😁
I love Calamity Jane 😍
I am so happy that little one has a mom now.😁❤😁❤😁❤😁
Billy’s moms name ldea - “Jean” get it, Billie Jean
Yes . I just thought that . BILLIE JEAN . Sounds a cool name 😎
Yep
I love it!
vicky kirkland ii
I agree. Awesome Billie's Mom's name :) Sad for the still borns, but you save so many others. Great day and 4th cut :)
The sink has four feet and plumbing. I can see how that might be confusing.
and its white!
And 4 legs 😂🤷🏼♂️
You can call Billy’s mom “Wilma”. For ‘William’s mater’. Your welcome.
I was also thinking of Wilma.
Great minds think alike, I suggested Wilhemina or Wilma! And then name the girl Pebbles and a boy Bam Bam.
Came down to the comments to say this!
I also thought Wilma
Me too! 😂🤣😂 Great minds think alike.

When you put the lamb on the floor in your storage room I think it thought the sink was a sheep. Aw, my heart
Lol the moms like ‘I’m already cleaning it stop rubbing them together’ 😂
Bless the ewe that accepted the lamb. It brought a smile to my face!
Suggestion for Billys mum: Milly. Or Carry for Carissa. For being an awesome helper!
Yessss. Name a baby after Carissa.
I was thinking Millie too!
Love “Milly” as a name !!
I was thinking of Milly or Dilly, also like the name Queenie as she is momma of Prince Billy! Love the lambing footage. THANKS
Willamina for Billie's mom.
I love how the dog is so sweet and tender with the little lamb. Licking and caring for it.
The look on the foster lamb's face was priceless. He could not figure out what you were doing, but he knew he was ready for a meal. So adorable. It seems like all of these lambs are cute.
I love it when you say, "hellooo, Welcome " even to a pumpkin. 😄
Thank you for letting the mom who had the two stillborn keep the little lamb she “stole”.

I loved the way Kinsey was helping to look after that little lamb while you were preparing a bottle for it she was so sweet with it
Watching the foster mum take on the new lamb was beautiful. Starts my day with joy. ❤
Great trickery at the end of the video!!! Loved it!! 💗💗💗🐑🐑🐑💗💗💗
I could just be a big sucker but when you gave the lamb the baby and she accepted it I just started to cry. That is just amazing that the baby was accepted.
When your dog was licking the baby lamb was she cleaning it like momma would, or was she assessing how much gravy it needed????????
Lmao
Not wanting to eat the lamb but just the stuff on it
Kinsey just loves the formula and is licking it off the lambs nose.
Lol

Watching Sandy take care of the disregarded lamb just made me smile. It’s clear how much she cares for them and it’s so sweet.
Billyjean for billy's mom or Wilhelmina
I like this one too
I was thinking Wilma, but Wilhelmina is better.
Betty / Beatrice
I didn't read the comments before I posted lol. I should have. Great minds and all that.
That was wonderful that you were able to take advantage and give that baby lamb another loving mom 👍👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️😉
Name Billie's mom Star, because she gave birth to a star! Or you could go with Stacy 😉
I was thinking Star too but mostly because that's what her forehead marking is called on lots of other animals

With the foster lamb nothing better than being born twice.... I love this good mom
Oh how sweet
Good job sandi. The homeless got a mom and brother
Aww. My heart melted with the orphaned lamb, and yet again when mama accepted it. So sweet when a plan comes together! btw, the hay field looks so nice and empty, ready for winter. You and Carissa are an awesome team!
I think Billy's mom just looks like a "Rose." She's beautiful.
I agree!
Rosie is perfect every time I see Sandi with a bandana I think of Rosie the riveter and Billy’s mom is just as hard a worker.
Great job fostering that beautiful little orphan!😏😏😏❤

billy's mom is Silver-ish in coat so lady silver like silver lining

It's crazy how quickly the ewes lick their baby's when they're first born, I was trying to count but it seems like its 2 licks per second. CRAZY
I just love love waking up to an extra video to watch I missed ❤️❤️❤️❤️
How about Willamina (or Willa?) as Billy's moms name?

Your lambs and lambing make me so happy. I could be having the worst day and you can put the biggest smile on my face.
Barbara would be a good name - staying in the “B” family

i loved Kinsey trying to lick off the reject lamb, and it trying to nurse off the utility sink LOL
When you foster but know the bio mom do you reflect that in your records? Will the tag be connected to the bio mom?
