I hope you decide to take the white guinea pig to the vet again. I don't mean this hatefully, just hate seeing animals ill. If the pain meds she was on last year seemed to help at the time, and she's scrunching up a lot like in this video(a sign of pain), she would most likely benefit from it. She should REALLY be on critical care if her weight is that low, especially if it dropped quickly. Her body obviously isn't getting what it needs from her food. Once again, I hope you don't take this hatefully because you seem very sweet and your animals look well looked after, I just hate the thought of something possibly being overlooked. Hope the baby feels a bit better soon either way❤
I completely understand your concern as I would feel similar if I didn’t know the full situation of an animal. I am keeping a really close eye on her at the moment and if her behaviour changes she will be taken straight to the vet. However, she is acting her usual self and enjoying being stroked, is running around and wheeking, coming to me for food etc. She was scrunching up but this is something she has always done even before her digestive issues. Guinea Pigs also can scrunch up more when they’re eating (especially veggies) as to appear bigger so that the others won’t steal their food. Critical Care is a good idea so I might try it, but it is more difficult to get where I live than in places like America but I’ll have a see. Her digestive problems are unfortunately chronic issues so they are going to be with her for the rest of her life meaning there is not much that my vets can do - especially seen as she isn’t really having bloat issues like she used to. But yes thank you for you concern and advice and I will keep looking after her and making sure she is okay as well as giving everyone updates on the channel x
Wow dedication 🙏💕
Thank you!! 💕
