Morning pal,Cracking vid of the Sprint, always interesting and gripping, sorry it's a late watch, slowly catching up on your vids, but mate your great to watch,I ride an 07 plate vfr 800 and yes totally agree with you the underseat exhaust does give out heat but in winter its lovely and toastie ha ha.Ok pal keep knocking out the cracking vids, cheers, Russ from Mansfield.
@@craigjones9467 oh I had a 600 and 900 on them but starting to show there age Used to love the rear end and they bank so well But you will love the power and roar bud Take care
Mark, I have a question for you. You may not have any ideas about this, but, you just might. I recently bought a 95 Sprint 900. I loved the looks and build of this old bike, perhaps I suppose, because I'm a old coot myself. Although I think the updated version you were riding is a sweet ride....I'm not into all the plastics and fairings, or even electronic fuel injection. I love to ride this ole girl..she looks good, and really performs. The only thing I wish I could modify is, at my age I'd prefer a more straight up ride. Less leaned over and sporty. Its still a blast to ride, I just can't do it very long. I know folks will say..."well dumb ass, why didn't you just buy a different type of bike"... I guess because I simply fell in love with it, and appreciate the old school rugged English over engineering. So maybe it is what it is. ..finally...here's my question.. Have you heard of, or know of, any modifications I can do to raise up the bars, and maybe lower the pegs a bit????? Keep up the great videos....you're Da Man ! Still eager to crank it up at 70
Great review matey. Thinking of getting back on a bike due to not wanting to die from covid-19 for the commute into Laandaan . Think you've made up my mind for me tbh 😉
I agree as there are not just point to hang on bikes lol Much lighter and nippy Enjoy bud and thanks for watching Loads more videos on my channel you might enjoy watching
Lovely jubly cant beat a savage ride out, love it. Looks like great fun, I do like a triumph. Keep them coming mate. P.s thos phone holders a bloody brilliant. all the best
Hey Mark! Unsure if you still check these comments, but if possible could you provide a link for the trident exhaust that you mentioned? I got a 2009 ST recently and the previous owner got some weird custom exhaust on the bike that I am frankly not a fan off but the one that you mentioned sounds interesting. Would appreciate it! Thanks
sorry i dont as tried to find it on my old info , maybe try google bud it's not good when they mess around with some but they do sound much better with off the market exhausts bud or try some forums
Nice review review 👍 I just bought a 2006 sprint st and love it! Just wondering if your bike has the stock gearing of 19 front and 42 rear sprocket? Mine does and im thinking of adding the 18 front for more low down grunt.
Hay Mark, just found your channel, nice down to earth reviews, thanks! Question for you: I’m looking for a long-distance, mile muncher for riding on the continent for reasonable, used money, so I’m thinking either Yamaha FJR1300, Triumph Trophy or Honda Pan European. I’ve watched your videos on the last 2 so which would you recommend all things considered? Or something else? And recommendation on best age/value combo? Thanks!
As on my channel yes I've had all 3 With the trophy it rode amazing and 286 miles on one tank Wind protection , radio and luggage has to be my first Next pan true high mile munches but they keep there money FJR more all round so to work or a trip but no toys but lighter and more power Try all 3 bud but that's the order I'd give with owning and riding all of them Next I guess you might have to look at the gs1200 but totally different style Thanks for watching bud
Hello Mark! Thanks for sharing such nice clip about 1050ST. I'm considering buying one for commuting on highways and through countries. Is there any problem I should keep an eye on after I get one?I like it very much but I'm also a little bit worry about the reliability.
all in great bikes , regularly service so look out for service history and check the suspension as the rear can seize and be very hard battery they need a good quality battery so always keep it on a charger when no using otherwise great bike and are fun to ride
Good evening Mr Savage, just put a deposit down on 2012 and i can't pick it up aarrrggghhhhh so i searched for some reviews while i wait for Mad Boris to say we are opening the bike shops. Great review and how are the brakes when you realise you going faster than your fairy godmother. I watched one review and they said it needs pulling with more fingers lol take care
They are fun light and fast bikes if you want them to do so Front very good rear can do with a little more push but I was happy with them all in Like you just want things to go in someway back to normal!! Take care fella Loads of other bike reviews on my channel while you wait
To be fair these are good all rounders Its not like a gsxr nor the weight of the trophy But you do have the speed and the luggage Give one a test ride bud
MY 2008 one I commuted every day from the midlands to Liverpool all weathers. No problems. In summer the warm arse problem was only in traffic on a hot day. I'm going to restore mine that's not been ridden for 7 years (I moved away + kids so never got around to it) now she wont start (probably needs new spark plugs and the fuel system draining) I had 70K miles and she still pulled like new so no issue other than neglect :-(
Hi mark, i could use some help. My speedfight is running normally and all well but, when i get over 30-35 mph it starts revving up, can barely reach 42 without revving way too high. It feels like the restrictor is on the variator but its not, what can it be?
how odd ok a few things clutch could be slipping, check out the clutch and if its getting very hot then it will slip so may need changing variator system and belt so really check it all over, 6g rollers and a good belt then if not moved onto the carb / and fuel system check the throttle cable and needle is not jamming and float etc give that a go and see how you get on bud ive 70 speedfight videos on all of these things so should help just may have to sit and watch a few as I go onto many topics while filming
I was 4 years ago and I did do many vlogs due to the comments, but don't let it take i5 away from the bike , I did a walk around and a few other videos on these and many more
Hi Mark great video - whereabouts was this ride. I miss the UK roads as I now live in Melbourne & own a silver 1050 - love it too - thanks Neil
