HA! I've put a random password at that authentication info. hikvision is really not user friendly. but this tutorial helped me in the end. For authentication make sure you put the correct email and the password for that email. just can't believe it worked in the end

Test was successful for camera 1, however, I get 'Test SMTP server failure" error message when i test the email configuration settings for camera 2 and camera 3 - IP 4G wireless camera using CamHI setup. How do I resolve this problem of setting up email alert for multiple camera on camhi?

Hi.. Is it possible to make any Email notification if NVR is getting off/Camera is getting down?
Camera is getting down possible to get notification. you have to setup your NVR Enable Video Loss Detection and linkage method enable email Notification
Wouldn't work on Gmail server either until I cut the username down to just the name and no extension of @gmail.com

Testing Failed. :) Just as expected, unfortunately. Seems like at least 80% of people are struggling with Hikvision DVR/NVR emails, and it actually works for very few...

see this video, follow how they have configured Gmail. I did it, it worked for me.
You don't do upgrade and all, just follow Gmail configuration. I didn't do any upgradation. My DVR built no is 170525. Even I have used auto DHCP, then also I have got succeeded.
Be sure and RESTART YOU NVR when completed. Mine would not work until after restart

Great Video. But it looks like GMail has removed the option to allow less secure sign-in. Is there an alternative email provider that you can recommend?

I think the latest version is 4.0.1.64. I don't know of any other versions.

The issue is that some Hikvision UA-cam video shows the on-screen date and time in green color. I wanted to know how it's done and someone said that in the OSD there is a button to change the colour. But, I have no such button on my Hikvision GUI. MY version is the latest V4.1.64. Do you know where this colour button is?
