    Truth Treatments all the way! Elle I was emailing with a rep from Truth and he left his number for me to call later. When I called Ben Fuchs answered the phone! He was SO lovely. We had about a 15 minute chat about the products and what I’m using. What a gem of a man! So smart, so down to earth, so companionate. He was familiar with my neck of the woods in upstate NY, and even offered me advice on supplements (I have MS). I have been on the Truth for about 1 month and can see changes in my skin. I’m a believer. Hope you’re well❤️

    Hi Elle! Great video and thank you for your research! My first Vitamin C serum was SkinCeuticals 20 years ago, which was pretty much the only thing available at the time. Super good but super expensive. Used it for years but was very happy to find more affordable serums such as Timeless and Mad Hippie a few years ago. Love them both. I use Vitamin C every morning ...but am now very interested in adding tetrahexyldecl ascorbate into my pm routine. Take care ❤️

    Hey Elle! What an amazing video! Thank you so much for the time and passion you put into this video. It was amazing; I learned so much! It came just in time. I’ve tried Drunk Elephant’s and MaeLove’s and just couldn’t tolerate it. I always tried to push through thinking my skin would adjust eventually, but it just never did. I always got small bumps and it just wasn’t good. I was ready to go with the Truth Treatments balm, but then Beautycounter came out with their version. I’m waiting for mine to arrive. We shall see. Well thanks again; it was so good! Be safe! ❤️

    Elle, this couldn't come at a better time!! I have literally been going back and forth and around again on which vit c I should grab. I am mid 30s and wanting to prevent fine lines--- in which I have some already showing up as we speak. But mainly am wanting one for age spots as well as a couple scars. I had my eye on the new beauty counter one, two different ones from rose Mira which cannot recall the full names of at the moment... and then the 100% pure ... this definitely helped me with knowing what to look out for. Thanks so much for sharing the knowledge !! xx ❤️❤️❤️

    Good morning Elle. I have just been waiting on this video. You did an amazing job and I learned a great deal. I was wondering if you could compare the TT serum/balm to Osmosis Catalyst AC-11 and IS Clinical Advanced Serum. I understand they both are of the Asorbic Acid variety. Would you recommend one of those over the TT if my skin tolerates it or do you think the TT is superior overall to those two products? Thanks you so much and I love it when your daughter joins you. Since many of are working from home I just love seeing the human aspects along with the professionalism. We can have it all ladies!

    • @ElleLearyArtistry
      @ElleLearyArtistry  4 роки тому

      it is hard to compare as TT is actually a different form of Vitamin C, Osmisis is AA but it is already oxidized and I am trying to understand it. Then IS clinical is pretty straight forward

    Hi, Elle-with-the-dewy, angelic complexion! I'll make a mental note to think about the tetrahexyldexyl (sp?) form you mentioned - thank you so much! I've been using Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster (it only lists "ascorbic acid" among the several ingredients) and my face is pretty much falling off. Think wretchedly wrinkled, dry hide! At night, I'd been using the 1% Paula's Choice retinol. One or the two of these - or both - seems to be disintegrating my antique face! For right now, I'm gonna re-listen to your WHY I STOPPED USING ACID & HEALING MY SKIN! The Skin Fix you sent feels like HEAVEN at this point - many thanks again! I've also ceased using toner. It's not easy being a "geezerette"! 😁😁😁

    Count this as one of the videos I didn’t know I needed. I tried Drunk Elephant’s serum (straight, mixed into moisturizer, applied while praying to every deity I can name) and it sent my face into absolute meltdown, so I thought, “well there goes that plan.” Definitely going to look into the gentler forms, because heaven knows I need all the help I can get. (Also, that was my favorite on-camera kiddo cameo since the BBC business reporter a few years ago. So sweet!) Many thanks and much love from this member of the #stayedtiltheendsquad. ❤️

      I actually have a whole video on the brand. you can search the brand in the search bar on my channel and it will pop up. I can't find a full ingredient list for their vitamin c but from what I can find it has fillers and unnecessary junk in the formula. Also looks like this could be pretty hard with no E or ferulic

    Thanks Elle, thank you. I know how much time went into this and I appreciate it. I have just a few follow up questions. Sensitivity aside, would you say that LAA is the most effective form of vitamin C? And, what is the main difference between the forms of vitaminC? For instance why do people think that LAA is the “gold standard”? Does C have to be converted like vitamin A? Or is there another scientific reason? Also, for the other forms of vitamin C do they need to have a lower ph? Thanks again. You’re the best. So appreciate you!! And What a cutie your daughter is!!!!

    • @ElleLearyArtistry
      @ElleLearyArtistry  4 роки тому

      thanks! that is a loaded question. I do think LAA has the most research behind it and most received by the skin. but I am finding myself leaning toward THD A as I talked about in the truth treatments balm

    #StayedTillTheEndSquad. Thanks for the research. I use the Timeless now, keep in the fridge... doesn’t cause irritation and I got a great deal, $7 for full size on the FAbFitFun edit sale last time. I tried the Osmosis AC-11 and really disliked the orange color on my skin.... plus it was over $100! I have it in my fridge, waiting for an orange toned friend to give it to!

    Great info! I’ve been using and loving the Allies of Skin 35% Vitamin C Collagen Rebuilding Serum. It is on the pricey side but I believe it’s worth it. On the other hand I’ve been eyeing the Ghost Democracy Lightbulb Vitamin C Serum. Any opinion on those?
    Also, I have a tip for storing vitamin c. I buy smaller dark dropper bottles (a lot of shops on Etsy sell them), divide my serum into 3 separate bottles, and keep them in my mini fridge. I label the bottle 1 through 3. This way only a small portion is being exposed while the other bottles are sealed tightly in the fridge.
    Again, amazingly helpful info.
    Thanks so much, chickadee🍃🌸

      I love the Ghost Democracy! Even tho I have oily skin I feel like I respond better to oil based vitamin C like THD which makes sense cuz its fat soluble. There is a slip to it but absorbs pretty well. Awesome ingredients as well! I am currently using the Natrium C serum. It did a good job brightening the skin and as an antioxidant but the Ghost democracy did a better job at collagen and anti-aging. Think I will be going back to that after the Natrium.

    Hello, So I have used MadHippie and Drunk Elephant but get overwhelmed in what to look for when considering a new serum, there’s just so much info out there....my main concern is hyperpigmentation (I don’t have sensitive skin). Aside from the truth treatment, what have you found based on research would be best to target difficult/stubborn hyperpigmentation? Also, could you honestly explain the difference between medical grade skincare and “otc”skincare that contains similar ingredients? Also why do these medical grade brands a lot of times have alcohol denat so high up in the lists but ask over 100$ an oz? Do you really feel you get what you pay for with medical grade? Loved this video! Thanks for doing it!! I really want to try the lipid based Vit c, the THD ascorbate. I react so much to ascorbic acid, it doesn't matter how much I buffer it or how much I use it or try to work up to it. It just doesn't matter - there's always a reaction. I've tried other Vit C's, like the new Farmacy and I really like that actually. But I'd like one that brightens a bit more. If love to try the Le mieux as well. 🥰
