I think engineers just try to find the absolute worst design for everything to screw with people. Well done.

I watched several of these videos and found yours to be the best step by step how to of them all. I was confident making the changes in the exact order you did. I have a 2019 Pacifica Limited and it went smoothly and without any issues. My original aux battery failed after 3 years and it was covered under warranty. The second one only lasted 1 and a half years. The dealer would not replace since the first one was already replaced under warranty. And they wanted $360 to replace it. I saved a lot of money doing it myself. Thanks.

I unplugged the start/stop feature. Its so annoying and the amount of gas it saves is so little and the motor and starter wear is decreased dramatically

      How you do that

    • @M0UNTAINEER

@@borninspainv Some models are different and some have a secondary battery so if yours isnt the way i describe then check owners manual. There should be a small box attatched to the negative terminal on your battery. Theres a wire that attatches to that small box on the side by a clip. Undo the clip and disconnect the wire from the small box. Mine has a small wire on top of the box thats attatched to the negative terminal, the wire you want is attatched to the small box. I wrapped the piece i disconnected from the small box with electrical tape to keep water out and prevent corrosion. After disconnecting the wire from the box there will be a yellow light on your dash that should look like a letter A, its just a warning light, it will always be there when its disconnected, thats the only downside. Like i said in the beginning, some models are different and the box may be attatched to that secondary battery if there is one. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask

Thanks you save me about $200 from the dealership doing it. You need a 5/32 socket to get the terminals posts off a 15/32.

I got this error on my 2018 pacifica and changed the battery. That fixed it for 2 days. Today it came back on again. Grrrrr!

It's still ongoing. I took it to my repair guy and he found a rat had chewed up a bunch of wiring that ran the computer. So he had it for 3 weeks while we waited for parts. 6700 dollars later (of which I only pay my deductible, thanks AAA) I get it back and the light still comes on every now and then. So I might have to take it to an actual Chrysler dealer, but AAA won't pay for that.@@lanebellinger166

I haven't opened the hood yet and double checked but I assume not much difference between 2020 and a 2017.

I have a 2018 pacifica. I disconnected the aux battery. Taped up the terminal ends with electrical tape. I live with the warning indicator. It does not die at stoplights or when waiting to turn left. Also it doe not drain the main battery when the aux battery needs replacing. 100% better driving experience.

    Hello Sir!
My Pacifica shows the A icon, alongside with the on/off unavailable, it also shakes while driving once I reach 50-60 mph, when it does that, the engine icon turns yellow on the dashboard
What do you think it’s the problem here?!
    Thank you

Thanks for the video. We changed the main battery as well as the the auxilary battery and A light is still on as well as the start/stop feature not working. What would cause this? or does it take time to work again? 2020, 58k miles and on my 3rd main battery and 2nd aux!

Did you leave both batteries disconnected for 15-20 minutes? Have them disconnected for a time resets the system.
