Hi Evora, well done, you're amazing! Can't be easy taking on challenging trails on a larger heavy ADV. I moved to Portugal last year, road rider (R1200R and XL1000 Varadero). I am learning much from your adventure as I want to buy a ADV and explore Southern Europe.
Thank you 😊 that's great 😃 as long as you don't drop the bike the weight is no problem 😅 and some things are even easier on s GS, like using the front brakes.
Awesome video Evora, the drone footage and soundtrack were great! Well done you going through this ACT track with your big GS with your big GS and all by yourself! 👍👍

Thank you ☺️ well actually I thought it was only a short stretch and then I was in the middle of it :D but as long as you can pick up the bike it works.

You take us on roads where I would have turned around. I like riding with you. You are excited when things are going well and calm and collected when things are going wrong. The perfect travel companion.

My old extremely heavy, no place off road, they called it a do it all adventure bike, always showed an SOS. So I now ride a 690 and it truly is an adventure bike. Awesome to see you giving it a great shot on that big rig. cheers.
Last time I camped in Portugal I arrived at a camp site that had not yet opened for the season. The owner let me camp there for the night but refused any payment. Lovely people. 🙂
You certainly had a "varied" days riding, I'm still amazed at how you lift your beast of a bike 😮. May I suggest you carry some energy breakfast bars, they take up little room and are useful for when you need a boost.
Thank you :) I carry some emergency food but it wasn't that Bad :'D so I decided to go for the Restaurant. But if I had thrown the bike down again, I would probably have made myself something to eat :'D
Hi, first of all, once more, congratulations. You are tough and I hope you achieve all your targets and beyond. One or two considerations.... Riding and making offroad with those aluminium cases, worries me to much. You can get easily injured. Please, consider soft bags. I often listen to some spanish music while you are in Portugal. Although we are Brother countries, we have distinct cultures and music is one of those things who makes a distinction between us. The burned trees... Yeah, it is a anual calimity we suffer every year. It is a plague that happens because of some irresponsible persons while they work and also because of those who love to see fire burning and devastating our landscapes, fauna, flora, including houses and factorys. There are a lot of many other reasons for this tragedy to happen. But this is not the chanel to talk about it. PS - There are some tips to avoid cold while sleeping... Regards
Hi, thank you very much :) Absolutely, I am buying softballs for next year. I couldn't change the panniers while travelling though. That's absolutely true about the music, I've searched several times but just couldn't find any suitable Portuguese music, I also can't just use any music as I don't have licences for it, so I'm tied to the Artlist site. But if you have any suggestions I'll be happy to check if I can use it :) Yes, that's incredibly sad :( Fires are horrible. I upgraded my camping equipment during the trip, but it was never really warm :'D Best regards
Well done how you handled those two drops, you got some strength :) but that should not happen, this bike is not good. You drive it too slow offroad, and it goes where it wants, not where you want. You will have much more fun on something like CFMoto 450MT or Honda CB500X, Transalp XL750 and still have reasonable touring capabilities, much more agile and quick then this extra heavy bike...GS you cannot turn around alone, you can get easily stuck, even for men it is too much sometimes. Not to mention if it rains and gets muddy...
Thanks :) I'll get anther bike for my world tour next year :) it's true, the GS is too heavy, but I can turn it alone ;) even if I have to put it down.
@@travelwithevora I meant 180 degrees turnaround in tight roads where you need to go back for example, and need to lift front/rear of the bike fully - uphill/downhil situations, men cannot do it with GS. Many problematic situations can happen if you ride alone offroad and explore. This bike limits you too much - and this road on the video is not too hard.
girl fights mountain, girl wins!. Stop descending with your clutch in and use the momentum of the bike. Too slow is very difficult , trial riding is done with a very light motorcycle. Suuces
Many thanks 😊 yes that's right, but especially when the handlebars hit a stone and I then ride out to the side, it's always too unsafe for me on the cliff :'D then I'd rather go slowly and pick up the bike.

i applaud you for going out alone BUT you need some bike skills and should be riding in a group until you have better skills - serious injury can actually occur you know? I wish you luck, i really do. 🙂
@@ogasi1798 I appreciate your concern but I wasn't scared 😅 on the microphone breathing sounds much worse than it actually is.
