Hi there. When I got my kit it was not a put into the oven type. So it sits to dry till hardened. I would recommend following the directions your kit came with tho. As far as keeping it safe outside, all I can say is it won't last to long in the outdoor elements. I even added mod podge to help but it eventually wore off. I hope that helps 😃
Question when you put the gems on one side you cant see the other side where like thw butterfly like the kit i got unless u do twant to show the picture part and just want the gem side showing???
Yes you're right..I had to choose between decorating the butterfly side or decorating the blank side to display. In the end only 1 side will be seen at once..I suppose you could possibly decorate both sides and flip the stone over from time to time to change it up💜
I tried this, poured 1 cup water and slowly mixed in the powder, and when it all was mixed up, it hardened soooo fast!! I didn’t even get to put it in the mold :( do u know why that would happen? Should I keep adding more water while I mix?
Hey there..my guess would be the temperature of the water.. if you use cold water it will harden faster so use warm or room temperature.. probably use warm water and dont add the water all at once..pour half and then add more slowly cuz you dont want it to be too watery. I hope that answers your question..that's my best guess
Hi :) I recommend spraying it with "MOD PODGE" this will act like a barrier and protect the stones from the weather and keep the decorations longer. These i made lasted about a year but started to break down so i got another kit (same one ) this time i used mod podge spay ..its cheap at walmart... and i can tell its helping.. I hope this helps you as well
