  • I just had the most incredible haul! Lots of costume jewelry, with some of it being real, clothes and makeup, too. The situation in which I came about these items is very unique. My cleaning lady knew of a gentleman who was finally ready to part with his deceased wife's belongings. She gave him my name and number and I was able to go through the items that were being stored in the basement. I bought a few clothing pieces and makeup, but the big score was jewelry. Lots of unique and beautiful costume jewelry pieces that I can upcycle or wear. There were also some sterling silver and a few gold pieces. Tune in and check out the haul, I will show you every single thing...enjoy!

Only 5 minutes in to your show and tell I realized that $150 for all of that is a steal! She had some amazing jewelry! And the rings that are marked silver, and 10k have some semiprecious stones… a marquis garnet in that one gold ring..some smoky topaz in that pendant, some turquoise. But even the costume jewelry was beautifully made and probably expensive. Ya did good lady!! That being said, God bless the man you bought it all from..losing his wife. 🙏 Her stuff ended up going to someone who really appreciates it and will use it! ❤

The c25 may be 925 thats just worn down. The ring marked sterling is native american, they dont have to use the number system. No matter the carat weight the gold has value. With the price of gold now your rings are easily $100, more if stones are real. A couple of the rhinestone brooches are vintage, you can tell by the pin & the way theyre attatched. Electroplated gold has no real gold value so wear it! Suzanne's pieces were sold on HSN and are probably vintage by now, not certain of the value. A trip to a pawn shop with the gold (see if you know someplace to test stones first so they dont cheat you) will more than pay for your trip. The vtg brooches have value, so does the Monet pendant (that actually is a hair tie) and the NA ring has a lot of value. The Dior eye shadow...that may be a case you can have re-filled. The case empty has value. Id have the unopened stuff on ebay super fast, lol. Expiration dates apply to when the item was unsealed. Some ingredients can lose effectiveness but there are always people looking for things that cosmetic companies retired.

I decided to start wearing light makeup at 60yrs old, to hide big pores and sun damage.
The very sweet girl on the makeup floor, sat me down and showed me the best way to achieve what I was after and one of the magic tricks was a very fine product, you use a tiny amount, after your moisturiser has dried and then let the smoothing, filling product dry and then do your makeup.
vaseline treatments are also very good for softening dry skin. Just look up UA-cam vids, even young women are doing vaseline treatments. I'm using zinc and castor oil mixed in a cream product, instead of the vaseline, it is also great for chaffing anywhere on the body.
    Loved your haul.

What fun. You seem like such a beautiful, sincere, authentic lady. Its too bad we all don't live closer to one another, I love to put on tea party socials and ever since COVID, we need connection and girlfriend time more than ever. It would be so fun to put one together with like minded ladies. I've done accessory exchanges at my tea parties, and small gift exchanges with themes, like something home/hand made, or something beautiful or whatever speaks comfort and coziness to you. They've been SO SOOOOOO fun and it always seems as if each lady goes home with what she believes if the perfect gift for her.
Thank you for not only sharing your talents and show and tell's 😁 but also thank you for sharing your heart and your real self with us. I have not only enjoyed every one of the MANY videos I've seen of yours, I've also been incredibly inspired by you and given some really great tips and ideas that are simple and doable, particularly in the area of sewing, which is something I've done a fair bit of but i haven't enjoyed it, and i think it's because it's always felt so fussy and i was taught to be perfectionistic, and that feels overwhelming. I've always wanted to alter my own clothing, and add lace and pretty girlie stuff, but never have. I've actually made my own custom slip covers and lots of other things, to beautify my home on a budget, but you have opened up a whole new world to me that i am so excited about!!! Thank you! 🩷🌸🌷🌺🎀👘👛

@@tmyershandmade978 awww..... Can you IMAGINE how much fun we would have?!? I feel like you're a kindred soul and I EXTRA love it cause you make me feel better about myself after recognizing some similarities in you. I know this is a silly thing to say, but girl.... I kinda feel like I know you already just a bit and makes me want to invite you over for tea or meet for coffee. I've not done nearly the fun, AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS type of creative projects that you've done, but I grew up in an extremely artistic family and just have ALWAYS done creative things but you've REALLY been an encouragement and inspiration to me in sewing and in the whole area of clothing alteration and upcycling clothing and accessory type things especially. You honestly blew me away with how your simplicity in that entire process makes it possible to get projects done in a LOTTT less time AND even with tons less effort. How did you think of that? I know I am not one of those lovely ones who get a lot of joy out of a long and tedious and painstaking and time consuming process.... I want the beauty, but I want to only take on projects that I can get done in a day or much less. I used to really devalue my art and creativity because of that and other ways my stuff was"imperfect". But I had begun to recognize that every artist had their own signature style and mine has NEVER been to turn out at that looks so perfect it could be machine made. All of my stuff looks hand made... but I can now appreciate that it is also beautiful and perfectly acceptable just as it is and you had a great deal to do with me finally getting to that point. So I want to thank you so so much, friend! You have such a sweet heart and you pour it into everything you do and your humble attitude and openness and honest, authentic way you share yourself and your process with everyone, even about things that you probably have been criticized for and there are many who would look down on certain aspects.... but you have the courage to stand in your authenticity and it's absolutely charming and beautiful and super inspiring. I have also loved, decorated, dressed and created in what is now called Shabby Chic, and was doing it years before Rachel Ashwell ever came on the scene, (I am 59... Though I feel more like 42 or something....you know how it is when you have a youthful spirit.... I think you have that too). But in recent years all those who used to also live that style and actually learned to after watching me do it, and asked me to help them get started... they've all moved or passed away or somehow we lost contact or simply feel it if one another's lives for one reason or another, so finding you was REALLY the most exciting and happy breath of fresh air for me. Plus, you just seem so fun and down to earth. I'm not kidding when I say I would absolutely invite you to tea or out to coffee or whatever.

Such beautiful picks for such an excellent price!

Dear lord did you score big time! Ive watched this video over and over again just to look at the awesome jewelry. You've got a lot of pieces with a higher resale price. Good costume jewelry can bringnin the big bucks sometimes so its worth a little research. You can buy books for each individual maker of the jewelry to see if you have any pieces in the book and you'll get an idea of the price.

  • @kimpeasester
    @kimpeasester 7 місяців тому

That costume jewelry is mighty fine and the resale value value on most of the pieces will be quite pricey. If ever a day you sell some of your jewelry, please find a friend who knows about jewelry before you sell anything. You got yourself a little gold mine with this lot. Congratulations

It looks like the original owner had a lot of fun with her jewellery. I would love to have seen her GOOD stuff! I’m absolutely sure she would appreciate you using her things to remake into beautiful things instead of going to thrift shops. ❤😊❤ I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Thank you. By the way, wrinkle smoother is fantastic stuff, my beauty therapist daughter laughs when I call it my polyfiller….

Hi, great haul, please do not use super glue to glue in stones, use GS Hypo cement, not very expensive also the gold ring looks like a ruby and diamonds, I think you need to buy a pen diamond tester, again not very expensive, it’s a fabulous haul. You can use the makeup, just spray it with 100% Isopropyl Alcohol any germs poof gone very safe to use. Saying G’Day from Australia, love your channel

Some of that costume is worth money and you would make more to do an Auction on your channel like others do..costume jewelry is very lucrative..vintage monet vintage Liz Claiborne etc..or if your lucky to find a unmarked Juliana broach worth $400 like I did in a jewelry jar I bought😊

Hi Tracy, I found your channel recently and love your videos! So many cute ideas! My sister and I went to a thrift store yesterday and she spotted a gorgeous bracelet behind the counter and the guy said all bracelets are $5. So she bought one and we got in the car and I said that looks like Brighton and sure enough it had the Brighton tag on it. It was the find of the day! Also, I love your nail polish - can you please let me know what brand and the color? It's so pretty in your videos and looks great with your upcycled outfits! Thank you! Debbie

Tracey scratch the pearls on your teeth and if feels gritty then the pearls are real. If they're smooth and slide off your teeth, theyre either glass or plastic pearls. Nice glass pearls can even bring in some money. Gosh I wish I was sitting there with you going thru the all the jewelry

Before you take apart any of the statement necklaces, I hope you will use google lens to see their value. Some of them looked well constructed and may have more value than you think. Wonderful video, thanks !
