Just shows how far ahead of the times the Japanese really are. In tuning, drifting, technology and highway road racing. Turbo Skylines doing 300km in 1999?! It's only now the U.S have caught up to tuning Skylines due to 25 year import laws. These guys were doing it when the cars were new!! R32 in 1989, eventually banned in racing. Even the camera technology was ahead of the worlds....because of the world war, all the engineering of aircraft went to motorcycles, that's why it took off in the 1970's with 4 stroke technology and Honda's CB750. 1st disc brakes, inline configuration and big power with 750cc. Honda made motorcycles before cars and everyone knows how reliable and powerful they can be. Best flowing heads in the auto world. Motogp Champions too. The biggest manufacturer in bikes based on volume. Big fan due to being of quality parts, paint and fitment, reliable, user friendly controls and resale value is better than all the big 4: Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha. Other brands may be faster, more powerful and more technology, but overall nothing beats a Honda (motorcycle based opinion) sorry for long rant and bringing bikes/Honda into it.
Americans laugh on Civics with their mostly fart sounding engines but please show me an American 1990's engine that is friendly for city driving, reliable, getting really good MPG and power figures of 100 HP/litre (B16 for example) American engines of the time were undescribable pieces of shit in comparison, so laugh all you want.
Wymiatacz Plays I could name some LT1, LS1, Ford 5.0 as a matter of fact both LT1 or LS1 both we’re capable of getting up to 30 mpg while maintaining good power and torque. Calling them “indescribable prices of shit” is a lie there’s a reason why people love the LS small block. As a matter of fact some of the JDM cars you love have been LS swapped. Silvia S14/S15, RX7, Miata, etc. As far as reliability Again LT and LS wins. The engines were also physically smaller than the Japanese engines(RB26 2JZ). As well as maintaining the strength to be just as powerful. Don’t bring up Hp/liter because it’s a useless argument and silly to compare cars that way because a small block Chevy still produces more power and torque while being almost just as light. You my friend are what’s wrong with the car culture. Just being a hater and not knowing the facts. Go ahead and do some research next time before making a fool out of yourself next time. I’m not laughing at JDM cars I’m laughing at your misinformed statements and ignorance.

For those for are wondering. Yes this is completely illegal in Japan 2019, but we can still do this. Best place is "Tokyo bay Aqua-line" early in the morning. Unlike America, there are no cops on the street. At suburban area, we see police car only about once a week. (I see police cars more than 5 times a day in US) Also, they don't have a speed gun or radar system. They have to chase your car and check your speed in order to pull you over. So, as long as you check your rear view mirror frequently, and watch out for unmarked police cars, you be fine. Also, watch out for "orbis" (speed camera) too.
i also do the same. i live in Alabama and they're aren't that many cops around where i live but before i speed on a straight road, i first drive on it and look around to make sure that there aren't any cop cars pulled over and then when i reach the end and the coast is clear, i turn around and floor it back over 100 mph lol. oh and also make sure that they're aren't any traffic because 1. i don't want to put nobody else in danger, 2. they could snitch on you, 3. they could be undercover cops
You mean exaggerates the hell out of it with it's mega death lens fisheye. This is what I've come to realize about driving/racing videos: people judge how fast someone is going or how hard they're pushing based on the lens used. If they use a more honest, narrower lens people complain they weren't pushing it, but if they use these crazy mega death lenses people think it's the fastest thing they've ever seen. If you've ever flown in an airplane you went as fast as these guys before you left the ground, now think about it, did it look that fast? No.

"Drifting is for the weak. We only do maximum velocity"
😎
Americans laugh on Civics with their mostly fart sounding engines but please show me an American 1990's engine that is friendly for city driving, reliable, getting really good MPG and power figures of 100 HP/litre (B16 for example)
American engines of the time were undescribable pieces of shit in comparison, so laugh all you want.
Alex K not anymore unfortunately
Omie Boriboun America had performance cars way before japan did in the 60s and early 70s. Ever heard of the muscle car era?
Alex K I’m not it’s just the truth and it’s clear that you’re biased JDM car lover who hates anything not from Japan.

@@psychoaceclap6402 they actually are EXTREMELY reliable, specially for the wankel engine
These guys knows how to tune, improve and maintain their cars, the wankel with that type of care is a reliable monster (remember mazda won lemans with the 787b not because it was fast but because it didn't break down going 100% balls out during all the 24hrs)
@@aitor9158 rx7 isn’t reliable that’s why most of them need engine replacements every 40k-200,000km. Also they need premix and they have shitty economy even a lot of 600hp super cars have better fuel economy. Rx7’s are shit for reliability and never mind that they have over heating issues, interior falling apart etc. so yeah don’t even say the rx7 is reliable. My Mitsubishi Lancer fwd manual 2017 limited edition I own has 170hp prob the same as the rx7 all I do is oil change every few months and it’s good to go nothing is falling apart that’s what you call reliable. and in gta5 when they've made the Elegy Retro, it has a reference on the back bumper that says "bayshore" refereing to the wangan street racers
Finally something worthwhile watching here on UA-cam.
Making the video go faster while driving and adding normal speed sound tracks over it is clever... for the 90s...

0:48 that lens captures the sense of speed perfectly holy shit
You mean exaggerates the hell out of it with it's mega death lens fisheye. This is what I've come to realize about driving/racing videos: people judge how fast someone is going or how hard they're pushing based on the lens used. If they use a more honest, narrower lens people complain they weren't pushing it, but if they use these crazy mega death lenses people think it's the fastest thing they've ever seen. If you've ever flown in an airplane you went as fast as these guys before you left the ground, now think about it, did it look that fast? No.
