I have an old belsaw model A22 built my own stand, rails etc. power it with pto on mandrel shaft, run a v-belt off that to run carriage drive and saw dust elevator. Works pretty good. Have lots of fun with it. I am in Ok.
I have an International 345 engine powering it. RPM’s are @600 and then it bogs it down in the cut some. Targeting 550 but it’s not as consistent as it should be. This year I want to setup a throttle lever to be able to try and keep rpm’s at correct speed. Otherwise I may switch to a Diesel engine with more torque.
@@miningmachiningandmetals9021 Okay ... are you running it directly from an automatic transmission? I have a dodge van with a 360 for power plant . Was asking if it was better to run it off the tranny or the rear axle . All new project. Just got the m14 out of a barn this winter . Have not set anything up yet . Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!
@@brandonwilson8974 it run through the rear axle. When I bought it the guy had a small Toyota motor so I swapped to the International and Intl trans and kept the rear end setup. The reason for the rear end is to get it to run the correct direction.
@@miningmachiningandmetals9021 I didn’t even think about that!!! Thanks ! What size blade are you running? I have the standard 40” . Hope to run a bigger blade in the future.
Love to see kids doing real and meaningful work! And they love that feeling of contribution to important matters.
Nice to see a younger child working hard with Dad. Teaches 'em right from the start.

@@brandonwilson8974 I believe it’s the standard 40” as well. I have a 48” for it but haven’t made the switch.
