    The American Bill of Rights does not "give" people rights. It acknowledges that the government doesn't have the ability to infringe on these NATURAL HUMAN RIGHTS.
    I Think this is important to remember. Just because people aren't "protected by the first ammendment" in other countries doesn't mean they lack a RIGHT to free speech.
    It means their government is oppressing their right to free speech.

    • @Heysaywhatnow
      @Heysaywhatnow 11 місяців тому

      Yes! An Important distinction I don’t think most people realize. If people could grasp this maybe we wouldn’t have so many bootlickers. Sadly it’s been forced down American’s throats that they are ‘free’ and they don’t question anything.

      That's also why using "well they nake the laws" to defend the American government infringing on those rights is stupid. If a law infringes on human rights, it is an unjust law. If a government doubles down on that, those who would enforce it are no better than rabid dogs.

    • @fifthlomat717

      Well it's called colony, because it basically was a colony in soviet times. Those prisoners basically colonised far east part of Russia, cuz they had to build most of infrastucture there. Fitting word strangely. There are different types of penal colonies the most light ones for minor offences are basically just small villages with prisoners living in barracks and working as lumberjacks, or in mines or some factory, and you even can go somewhere to nearest town or something, because you won't escape from the middle of nowhere, and everyone around know you are a criminal, so you ain't fooling anybody either. Most of ppl living nearby are either family members of guards, or guards themselves sooo. It's IS a colony lol

During winter, it can get up to -40°C there and the colonists often got frostbite. during summer it is pretty mild and warm there, but full of sting insect. my mother in law was once upset with the officer and grossed out, because they sent someone which was not able to walk with maggots in his shoe to her. and once one tried to escape and before she was able to shoot, the guy fell into a sinkhole. my father in law had one jump in front of his lorry from a tree. there are also bears, tigers, leopards and wolves in the forest, many of them not afraid of humans - more agressive than other ones. wild east.

      I don't understand being arrested multiple times in one day. But then again in Canada once you're arrested, they'll leave you for possibly months or years before remembering you're there. You don't get access to lawyers or phone calls to your family so you're just effectively missing. By the time they figure out who you are and if you're subject to jail time or not and then get the court shit going, you've probably already been done your sentence forever. Where I'm at, if you're arrested for something simple like a DUI or public drunkenness or suspicion of domestic violence you might just disappear for years and during that time your house and job will be lost and you'll be put on your ass onto the street.

    There is a early 20th century analogue in Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago, involving a 14-year old boy being sent to the Gulag. The irony is, in 2009 Putin celebrated The Gulag Archipelago and made it mandatory reading in Russian schools.

  • @Korra228
    @Korra228 11 місяців тому +2

    A couple corrections for your video.
    1. I know you said it jokingly, but some viewers might not understand. The GULAG doesn't exist anymore. Also that's not what the camps were called - it was an organization administering the camps. Basically what the SS was to Nazi concentration camps, GULAG was to USSR labor camps.
    2. Secondly, there's absolutely no way the authorities felt legitimately threatened by the teens. Fake witnesses or witness tampering, torture and charging people with bullshit laws that exist solely for oppression is a constant thing in the Russian "law". Russia is fascist, so obviously they crank down on intellectuals and scientists. The minecrafters were persecuted for speaking out in favor of Azat, not because the FSB actually saw them as a threat. People in the Russian army/police/FSB constantly do nonsense just so that can report it and show their leadership they're doing something. That's partly why Russia is so notorious when it comes to seemingly pointless strikes on civilian targets.

  • @fmo94jos8v3
