It's okay as long as you feel good with your bike (no matter what the brand is). Nevertheless, there are minimum requirements (at least for me): 1. Frame size fits me well and I can ride in aerodynamic position (to minimize aerodynamic drag) 2. Proper gear ratios (suited to the terrain I am riding) 3. Power Meter (to measure and improve my performance) The key for me is: to improve my power to weight ratio so that I can ride and climb fast if I want to.😅
There is nothing wrong with Giant/Toyota. Maybe trying to hook you deeper into cycling. If you can follow a pack of TTs or top tier roadies then that just basically shows how fit and strong you are. lol Folks over 40s/50s on foldies too, or maybe their main bike spoil i dont know. lol. For running i know of middle aged men over 50 running comfortably sub 40 for 10k.
It's been a while since I tuned into the podcast since I was really busy with school. I am currently saving for a road bike and listening to the show makes me want to ride more. One day, I'll be back on my prime (still 18 anyway lol).
Start as soon as possible, you won't regret it. Focus on improving your engine (your physical fitness measured by power to weight ratio for a cyclist).
I srsly dont know what you did to cause this weight. I had this bike in M with ultegra and it came in sub 7kg including pedals, cages and garmin mount. But i had the Zero Slr (top end version of the frame). But 1kg heavier seems a bit odd. And still to this day the zero slr is one of the lightest frames ever made.
yes but LOOK actually own the factory, unlike many other bike brands. Probably only really Giant, Merida, Look, Time own their own factories. many other brands to limited production for some top models but then outsource most of the other production.

they don't seem to do well on my channel. I think majority of my viewers are more interested in road bikes. I've done a few gravel bikes but the stats are not there... sherry cardona from buzzalong was the most recent ultra endurance rider I did
I bought OEM wheels and had problems installing TPU tubes (kept bursting). Went to bikeshop and asked them to replace rim tape to try. They didn’t and pushed me to buy a wheelset… I’m stupid and bought it just to get my bike build finished. They also did a bike frame transplant for someone who sold me the bike frame. They forgot to reinstall a spacer on the steerer to the original owner and made me forkout an extra expense to source the spacer (they already had one which they showed me what it looked like).
Not gonna lie, getting sick of all the “pro cyclists” on their “stock bike” and always harping the same ole message of “it’s all the rider” Bring back the average cafe rider folks with funny stories who spend money doing silly things to their bikes, because they know that life is more than taking this sport too seriously.
Thank you for having me! Love it!
Funniest guest by far! Thanks for the chat

Agreed. And that is part of the beauty of it. Ride safe
Would totally want to ride with this guy---genuine and real, which is hard to find nowadays in SG! :D
Super chill dude! Had so much fun speaking to him
Thank you, I'm always up for a ride.

He should do stand up comedy 🤣🤣🤣
Look frames are made in their factory in Tunisia.
outsource to Taiwan factory i believe
@@ageofsigmar7236 No. Look is made in Tunisia and is one of the few brands to actually own their own factory. ua-cam.com/video/4DKkueqcKmQ/v-deo.html

Of course I do 🤣

That seat post wedge notch at the top tube/seat tube junction is very...un-Wilier-like.
Ferrari chassis, Daewoo engine.
😂😂😂
Bike shop in central that carries Wilier not a lot 🤭
hahaha
hahaha i know which shop you are talking about...
tampines! LOL

That sucks!
This is why I do not believe in sales-pushing. It only results in annoyed customers.
I myself hate such salespeople whenever I'm a customer.
Bike looks too small for him??
Short torso maybe
Being fat makes the bike look smaller than it actually it.
