That "stored energy" mechanic has got to be the cleverest thing I've seen all day.
That Stasis.. I can already see myself, Knocking something straight up, just to jump on the givin object to try to launch myself into the air.

Actually scratch that. I am going to cut down a tree, put stasis on it, hit it with the sledge hammer, and then ride it across Hyrule like Mercenary Tao from Dragon Ball.
So Link learned how to jump... but forgot how to roll... T_T

I feel it would be after "Wind Waker" if anything, but "Spirit Tracks" didn't have them and that one is the youngest in that timeline and that one takes place in New Hyrule.

As far as I know no story elements of any kind have yet been revealed. Frankly, the whole timeline thing has always eluded me, if it isn't a direct sequel I never really care until I found out about the long standing fan theory that later became true.

It was delayed so it could release simultaneously on NX, they wanted it as a launch title to boost NX sales.
Thank you for all the gameplay videos! And they said that even though they're showing us ALL these gameplay footage, it only amounts to 1% of the ENTIRE game! And we haven't even left the starting continent/demo area yet!

This game feels somewhat like a test field. It's a full fledged game with story, but the freedom of choice is really strong here, amazing.
The visuals of the game are just breathtaking. I'm really excited to learn how the game will look on NX.

I actually noticed that on the bottom right screen, everytime Link moves, that purple flow acts like a sound wave
I think it's for sneaking.
If you watch the Weapons and Combat video, they say it shows how much noise Link is making.
As other people mentioned it shows how much noise you are making. By crouching you can sneak on enemies and steal their weapons or hit with critical hit etc. Also some enemies sleep at night so you can sneak past them. Also obviously useful for hunting.
Gauge above that is Link's temperature. If you go to cold area Link will start freezing and in worst cases lose HP and die. You need to either craft potion to make yourself feel warm or wear padded jacket etc. Rain also makes you get cold more easily, same as nights are colder than days.
I was wondering what that was about.
Its a sound gauge that measures how much noise Link is making... Good for when you need stealth movements on animals or enemies...

out of all the games i saw at e3 i want zelda the most. not only cause im a fan but it just looks levels beyond anything i seen this e3 as far as the gameplay goes.

by watching all the footage iv located 4 koroks so far,
one in the tree stump in the forest of spirits, one on the top of the temple of time, one on top of the woodcutters shed and one in the water right by that rusted sword which is also by the temple of time :P
i love when u have to locate and fgind stuff in zelda games, it just makes the games longer and more fulfilling i cant wait! :)

Cebby Idk, I think it's pretty lenient. Just don't make any lewd jokes, don't curse, and stay on topic and keep it running on schedule. I doubt it's too difficult unless you're really used to speaking with crude language or whatnot. I do agree that they feel robotic though, lol. It probably helps to not break into their casual persona.

Have you guys considered doing SIDE jumps when the slash is clearly going to be vertical. This should be basic video game combat: vertical slices are dodged with side jumps only, and horizontal swipes are dodged with backflips.

So this game takes place WAAAYYY after spirit tracks and is probably Hyrule uncovered from the waves. Or some new complicated time line they made where link doesn't stop Ganon from freeing Hyrule
definitely after spirit tracks. remember in wind waker when the korok were planting seeds to grow trees to make new land? this is basically the result of their work :)

I hope not all the mini dungeons consist of just shrines though. I'd like caves, crypts, castles, towers. Not just shrine after shrine. But besides that this game looks amazing
yes, they have mentioned that there are over 100 shrines, but they are more of a side element that add more adventure to the game. however, there are the classic dungeons that all zelda games consist of :-)
I heard there are 30 full dungeons.
Maybe it was 13 not 30, that would make more sense, probably just misheard, but I do remember there being a reference to the number of actual dungeons in one of the Treehouse Live videos.
There are definitely dungeons and castles (Hyrule castle, etc)
I meant optional mini dungeons, not the main staple dungeons. I want to see stuff like caverns and caves. Or dark crypts. Castle ruins or towers. Not all just shrines that kinda look the same.

Nope they have said the whole point of the game is freedom to do and go wherever you want, of course some areas are harder than others but you can still go there if you want a challenge

They won't. Demo takes 10 GB, someone might datamine, and someone could glitch off of the starting area and spoil some stuff.
One of the great things about the game, er, is your, ability, to er, press forward, and it's really good user interaction because, Link moves forward, very responsively, which is a really nice feature. Also, depending, er, on your style of play, erm, you could even, move slightly to the left. The beauty of the game is the ability to, erm, tailor it to your, personal style, and that's a really, really nice, er, feature.
