I sold my blue alpha belt for the lead devil. It holds its shape when fully loaded and more comfortable to wear all day. Unlike the blue alpha that sags and I’m constantly having to pull it up any chance I get. The hook & loop they use also adheres better than any other belt I’ve had.
I absolutely love my lead devil usa belt, used it for security alittle while with the safelife defense inner belt that's the best combo for me that I've found for "duty use"
I do something a little different for "EDC" wear. I went on Amazon and bought a "meh" black battle belt that I put all my every-day carry stuff on. Makes switching belts on pants for bath-day so much easier.
The lead devil belt is great, I used it for duty use for about 6 months. However I have had a terrible time with lead devils customer service. I sent a return to them as instructed like January of this year and contacted them several ways and they still haven't exchanged my item or even contacted me.
That stinks. I heard they're very responsive on Instagram which is why I messaged them there about the background of the company. Been 3 days and still nothing, but that's nothing compared to you waiting over a year. That's unsat - Not Jason
Purchased a belt from Lead devil that never arrived. Company didn’t provide any assistance other than saying their packages get lost in the mail often. Would not buy again.
I love my Lead Devil belt. I wear it every day for my job, and I ended up ordering a seconded one for training as well. I’m surprised you couldn’t find anything about them. I have had many conversations with the owner who is former LAPD SWAT. This belt is now the official belt for LAPD SWAT, and the Federal Air Marshals. I have been using this belt for the last 3yrs and is the most comfortable belt I have worn even made some of my back pain go away (that’s not garnering that that will happen to someone else)
So I’m confused. Is the improved Velcro and gaps in the MOLLE when laid flat the advantages that gave it second place? Were those the only advantages or did I miss something?
Yep, it matched the other older style belts in every other category except inner belt, then exceeded in the design and inner/outer adhesion. Puts it in 2nd - Not Jason
Check out Persec gear, similar style molle only belt, used one for duty for a few years before switching to the bison, but still have it around as a secondary belt, it’s great!
What's everybody's hate on for Cobra buckles? There seems to be a lot of hate on TLD videos, but I can't seem to find out WHY. I'd like to know that before I go out and order my custom load-rated/flight belt.
Cobra buckles can't release under load. It's a failure point the military folks highlighted. For Joe blow civilians, Cobra buckles are fine. - Not Jason
New military requirements is that it must be load rated, but be able to release under load. A lot of the belts that fell under the old requirement are no good under new requirements. I think only 2 belts meet the new standard. - Not Jason
@@ThinLineDefenseCo ok, I can see that. Not getting dragged down a mountain because you can't release from your belt makes sense. What belts did pass? Or at least what buckles are they using? (Like I said, custom gear, I can ask for whatever I want to some degree.)

@@ThinLineDefenseCo Right thats what it is, judging it passed that is what its not designed for. You want an edc they make a different belt for that.

Are the belts true to size I’m a 35 inch don’t know if I should get a large or medium?
i'm the same size as you i got a large.
Good review! I agree, the molle and the Velcro are it’s greatest strengths! The website…….ehhhhh not so much. 😂👍

The belt is stiff and holds the weight better. The molle they use is also a lot stronger. The hook & loop is better then traditional Velcro.
What brand is that aluminum drop down molle mount for your holster you have on the lead devil?
Not an aluminum drop down. Part of the holster listed in the description...do people even read the description?

Found it.. It's true north aluminum.. Yes aluminum adaptor.. Thks for your help😕
Also did you guys check out the AWS SMU belt?
What about the rigidity while it's on? I have a Comp Tac holster and it tips on the draw and binds because my belt flexes away from my hip.
I don't think you'll have that problem with this belt.
