Die hard panthers fan, born and raised in sunrise FL. Let me tell you the back half of this series was miserable for me. Literally felt like my health was declining lol.
I'm a South Florida sports fan as well, I learned to just root for the team after we win championships. What's the point of rooting for the team when they lose? Idiotic.
I am a former South Floridian season ticket holder for 10 years, who now lives in Greece. I had to get up, or stay up, until the 3am start time, every game, to live that anxiety. With 5 minutes left in Game 7, my heart rate was at a constant 140 beats per minute. When the game ended at 6am, I must of woken up the whole area around me, and the tears were flowing like a little baby. By far the best SCF I have seen in a long time.
I was chewing my nails like mad the last 10 minutes… and all I wanted was to see the Oilers get beat, by any team (I was riding for the Stars). So relieved the Panthers pulled it off
Fuck, you guys Really have the Hockey passion !!! Look forward to listening to you next year!!! I'm a huge Panthers fan, and how you described this series was Spot on....keep up the work Boyz....

Funny story about that word search game they do at the arena. I got to play that last year during a reg season game. I won two roundtrip JetBlue tickets. JetBlue flies to Europe now. So I got two tickets to Europe and back for spelling “ice”, “fan”, and “puck” 😂 let’s go cats!!!
Listen. Love you guys but you were in the most touristy part of town, surrounded by hotels that’s 35 minutes from the arena, in the middle of a Monday work day and you were surprised how many Canadians on vacation were at a beach bar on a Monday at noon? Just tired of people expecting this place to be a bad sport or hockey town. When teams are bad fans don’t show up as much, it’s a no brainer. Look at bad years in Buffalo, Ottawa and chicago. We also have to deal with every other fanbases fans having second homes that they vacation to in the winter and spring. This is a regional team that is loves by this fan base. Just want the media to see that as much as we do.
We all know the rules about play off beards your not supposed to shave it this literally happened 3 times once during eastern conference finals and twice during finals. Conference finals panthers are losing to rangers 2-1 I shave my beard panthers win next 3. I shave before game 1 of finals the panthers win 3. I keep my beard oilers win 3 I shave Sunday night panthers win Stanley cup Monday. I’ve heard of good juju but shaving my playoff beard 3 times doing something you’re not supposed to do and my team wins Stanley cup
To be fair his role wasn't to be defensive defender or even 2 way defender. He was purely offensive defender (though bit average) and PP1 QB (which he was really good at some points of his career). Sadly he declined quite bit in Florida and was overpaid, so it was kinda logical conclusion to get rid of him. I don't really have hard feelings towards the guy though, can't do much against father time and some gm willing to pay a lot to sign someone they wanted/needed at the time.
I was hoping for a Canadian Stanley cup but unfortunately it came against my team.. and I wasnt rooting against them.. But I do hope to see Canada as a whole celebrate a Stanley Cup win.. cause I know you’d party better then we could ever..
This talk about pushing top players to warmer sunny places is depressing AF to this Canadian. It's a northern game we grew up with. It needs to be stronger here. It's a winter sport not a warm climate sport. I lived in Texas 21 years and they don't appreciate hockey the way northerners do, whether from Minnesota or Alberta. Canada wants the cup.
As a florida resident, i feel for you. That sucks, our kids arent playing hockey here in Florida, we just get blessed that good players want to come. I guess McJesus is that exception where he doesnt have too much good to say about living in Edmonton but he is staying there because the sport is blood there.
@justinmiller5660 well we do love football and have our CFL..no it's not as nig as NFL, but it's ours and we love it..sports here in all genres very very popular. Most Americans quite shocked once they visit. I lived in Southern states 23 years so I know both. More here, in terms of baseball fields, ice rinks, and soccer/football fields at every single elementary ans junior high school. The one by me has 2 or 3 rinks, 2 baseball fields and 1 soccer/football field. High schools all have tracks.
7 cup finals in the state of Florida in 20 years. That’s the most for any state/province during that time . I would have to say Florida is a Hockey state!
This was the worst possible outcome for the Stanley Cup Final. A cup in Florida is such a waste. There are Oilers fans everywhere because there are no Florida fans. A "take over" would NEVER happen in a Canadian city. The only reason the stadium was loud is because there was 6000 Oilers fans in the rink.

@nataliedeleon5735 no, just that a lot of people leave that shit country to come live in a better on. Not a lot of floridans retire and move to the shit hole up north.
@justinmiller5660 well I actually lived in the south 23 years my friend..yeah it was fun and learned a lot, nkce break from deep cold. But home is home and we love it here. 🇨🇦..and we love our hockey 😊😍😘

All that cortisol, bro
I've aged so much the past 2 weeks lol

This was insane lol but it made it sweeter 😩😂
@@janellymarie nah, you just haven't kept up with botox baby gurl.
Barkov shut down McDavid in his prime in the biggest game in NHL History.

Stanley bobing in the ocean like a Canadian for the first time visiting FLA was classic😂😂😂😂😂
Dudes, did you guys see Gus stop McJesus from almost an open net!!!!!
Amazing block from Gus 🎉 and performance from the Cats!
Go cats go!
10/10 palm tree background.
48:33 once people started taking *second* laps I was really happy. Also lots of good "babies in the cup" moments
“Women have dreams of getting married”
No the hell I did not lol I wanted to win the cup in game seven, thank you very much.
Fuck, you guys Really have the Hockey passion !!! Look forward to listening to you next year!!! I'm a huge Panthers fan, and how you described this series was Spot on....keep up the work Boyz....

Best neutral breakdown of the series. Yands is a beauty, wish we could have won while he was here. Great ambassador for the Panthers
Great show guys it's been a ride let's go Cats 🌴🐀🌴
mc david can only carry that team for so long , the panthers were clearly the better team all around and they still have alot to look forward too.
Will you gentlemen please consider taking 10s to introduce yourselves at the top of the show?
Great show. Love you guys. ✌️
#TimetoHunt appreciate you all! Loved this season and not just because we're diehards that have loved this team since it's inception
What a series and what a ride it was. Great content as always. Looking forward to next season.
This show rules. Love the energy boys! New subscriber from Ft Lauderdale 👍
CP sounds like he’s been smoking a pack a day for 50 years 😂😂
Gah FINALLY. too much time in the elbo room? 😜
Wait till they realize they’ve been doing that word search all season
7,500 homes in West Palm Beach were bought by Canadians, so it's not shocking there was a lot of fans down there.
Great episode, great guest!
take a shot for everytime they say dude 🤣
Why you trying to kill people?
Do Chris and Dan remind anyone else of Reilly and Jonesy from Letterkenny?😄
I’m from sunrise and im pissed lmao I’m a lighting fan 😂 but they were the best team all year
IT WAS GANDALF THE WHITE
Take that cup to the southern most point of the United States, I'm sure the north would love that!
As long as the "A" is there, bc Detroit is HOCKEYTOWN

Get this mofo some honey.
I mean they have hockey culture. They have the plastic rat.
If Florida is a hockey town then Banjo Man is the Tiger King.
yeah men have dreams of being doctors and women have dreams of being mothers cool yands 🙄
Keith Yandle is a disgrace of a Defensive player. Panther got so much better when we paid him tons of money to not play hockey for us anymore!
To be fair his role wasn't to be defensive defender or even 2 way defender. He was purely offensive defender (though bit average) and PP1 QB (which he was really good at some points of his career). legit heartbroken about the oilers loss. all i can do is hope they come back with a vengance next season.
They won't
I was hoping for a Canadian Stanley cup but unfortunately it came against my team.. and I wasnt rooting against them.. But I do hope to see Canada as a whole celebrate a Stanley Cup win.. cause I know you’d party better then we could ever..

Yeah, and northerns don't appreciate football or baseball as much as southerns. So I get what you're saying.
As a florida resident, i feel for you. That sucks, our kids arent playing hockey here in Florida, we just get blessed that good players want to come. No it's not. Almost half the fans were there for the Oilers..... But nah, let's not go there eh.
"this is a hockey town" Pfft...maybe from the retired Canadians there
Have you ever been here? If not then I get to say no Canadian city is a hockey town, because that's an American city.
7 cup finals in the state of Florida in 20 years. That’s the most for any state/province during that time . I would have to say Florida is a Hockey state!

Because no one in Florida wants to visit your shit city. But every Canadian want to leave their country and live in Florida.
50:38 oh they did. He was in the middle of an interview and Knight snuck up on him. "we have a visitor" 🥲

Do you think a lot (or a chunck) of the Florida fans are actually northerners relocated? Or snowbirds from Canada?
They need to move the rink east of i95
@nataliedeleon5735 no, just that a lot of people leave that shit country to come live in a better on. Not a lot of floridans retire and move to the shit hole up north.
