Nail Career Education I never read the comments but this time I was nosy. I agree with this comment. I have little girl nails that don’t grow and have a love hate relationship with acrylics and gels, but your videos are just so relaxing and I’ve learned so much. And thank you for keeping it clean. My 4yr old daughter loves you and often we watch you at bedtime! It’s hard to find other nail youtubers who are good and not cursing up a storm. I also wish we had a nail tech like you who takes the time to to do the applications correctly.

+nic Over in Europe there are numerous male technicians, who are AMAZING nail technicians!!! My husband has told me numerous times that since we have been together he can't help but notice peoples fingernails more now. To me there is nothing wrong with men who take care of themselves. Amanda Cypert I literally learned from her channel. I've done my nails one time and they turned out pretty good. Not amazing, but they're really smooth. She's taught me literally everything about sculpting my own nails.
Ya go for it I was never into nails at all .. until a year & half ago I’m 44 I’m in school I’m almost a licensed nail technician.. but I literally learned from suzie & youtube I became obsessed with learning everything I could about nails honestly when I started school I had already learned & could do all they were teaching already.. I sculpt with a form I’m not good with tips nor am I really artistic with the nail art I have utilize glitter & gel polish & whatever else I can find I’m just not great with the nail art..

Suzie, I have a question, have you ever considered making a video (or multiple videos maybe a playlist/mini series lol) about what you should do to prepare for your first time getting acrylics put on, like a what to expect and a what to look for at a nail studio to make sure they're using the right products, application methods, and studio hygiene? I feel like some of us, especially the new ones, don't really know what to expect and what to look for to make sure that that is in fact the place they want to get their nails done.
This is a great idea! I've only had acrylics done once (13 years ago) and they ruined my nails. An Acrylics 101 video would make me feel less hesitant about trying artificial nails again.
I really hope she does something like Nail Salon Etiquette/ Acrylics 101 or something because I know I was definitely hesitant and nervous because none of my friends or my mom ever get acrylics and even googling not much good information comes up. I'd LOVE to hear Suzie lay down some basics.

This is the most beautiful nail set I've seen. I've never seen the "see-through, glass" effect before. I don't even know where to go to get my nails done this way. Simply gorgeous, with a lace type overlay look over the "glass"

This is quite possibly the most gorgeous set of nails I've ever seen.
I always sculpt, I love sculpting. In my area though there is a lack of nail artist that can, will or even know what sculpting is. My instructor at nail school called it a lost art, but online and in other areas it's very popular and not lost at all, which is awesome!
I think in general your teacher is right - it is a lost art- but with education and demos hopefully some techs can see the beauty in it :))

I went to this nail salon around the corner from my house and I only went for a pedicure at first with my mom (they did an amazing job with BTW, I'd go back for their pedicures any day) but my mom wanted her nails done and I caved and got mine done as well. I have pretty long nails and I was mid marching season so I couldn't do anything extravagant polish. So she literally did a CLEAR acrylic over my nails, and you could see where my nails were uneven and broken. On top of that they were super thick and I had to go back the same day for them to fix it. On top if that they lifted within a week and when I went to take it off, he cut them and used a tip to PRY IT OFF. My nails were super duper weak after that and I haven't gotten my nails done since
No nail techs do nails like young nails in cali or Suzie around here either. They are bubbly, no apex at all, and are not consistent. Schools around here only just started teaching artificial nails which is crazy to me. So we need all the youngins to get their licenses so we can have accurate nails. It's why I decided to do my own and Im so happy I did. My nails look great because of young nails, Suzie, and the Nail Hub. Thanks guys!!! I'm so excited to be able to do my own nails!!

Nail Career Education does all gel and acrylic require a certain light? I ordered an uv light cuz it's said gel will only harden in uv. But I hear led is way way better

I've never had my nails done, I've only ever painted them myself at home. This is like magic!
Because I'm a culinary major, I can't ever really have nails of course so your videos keep me going :') you're my favorite nail tech on all of youtube and I truly find most of your techniques and designs unique, I wish there was a way to get gorgeous nails that are easy to remove that aren't those peel offs or tips lol

Thank you so much, I would say I gravitate toward acrylic, probably because it was out before gel was and I was using it for sometime then Gel came long / it's a great addition to the industry. They are booth pretty cool 😀

Can you do more videos on sculpting gel nails. Like tips, tricks, pointers and different ways to sculpt gel nails (tips, forms etc.) can't find these videos anywhere
