Jackson Hospital Fires Nurse For Posting Disturbing Photos, Captions Of NICU Baby On Social Media
Вставка

- A neonatal intensive care nurse, accused of mocking a sick child on social media, has been fired.
Imagine putting in 4 years of school to be an RN and you still need social media likes as your success.
That Part!!
how did she pass nursing school?
Just shows how dumb people are these days and they keep getting dumber
Anything to pay for that yarn they throw on their hair and to pay for the nails.🤡
There are different types of intelligence she has the type of intelligence where she can retain information, doesn't make her smart in all aspects, or maybe she is smart but insecure enough to do this for likes
Proof that passing a test doesn't necessarily mean that you're actually equipped to do the job.
Indeed
well...many tests
Whew! Amen!

So True
Fired?!
The medical authorities should definitely revoke this woman's registered nurse status, this woman must not be allowed to be a nurse, period!
I believe that's a bit extreme. looking at her photo, she appears to be very young, and must have recently graduated from school. everyone deserves a second chance, unless you're completely incompetent. sounds like she just made a poor judgement in expressing her opinion.
@@MrBikercat
I appreciate you. Responsibility is something that should be looked at for it's base value. You may be forced to do it, it could be forced on you, but when you accept the responsibility upon yourself and your actions are questioned, you failed!
You do deserve a second chance, at another way for you to live up to responsibility, just not as a disgrace to all the nurses that came before you, who chose the responsibility to care for their patients, to respect their patients, and be as professional as humanly possible.
Not extreme. You are nursing for awhile before you're in the ICU, let alone a neonate ICU. HIPPA
Would you hire her for your family?
This goes beyond poor judgment. Hers is a problem of lack of empathy. Second chances can't change that character flaw.
We are talking about the most helpless, a baby, fighting for his or her life. Unconscionable.
You can’t “educate” someone to not be evil…
The young lady was not evil...more like ignorant and insensitive.
Or spell supposed
@@the1trueblackgod812 Evil like he said💯
@@__nubian__ . OK, I looked up the definition and both you and he maybe correct but I tend to think that evil or malevolence stems from worldliness but in this case i think the young lady, obviously very young, lacks the worldliness and sophistication to be evil. She has not been taught to be sensitive and/or compassionate. Question: If an eighteen year old committed murder, would you say he or she was evil? A cleric may think so because they're looking at it from a religious angle but a sociologist would point to the youth's upbringing, social influences and whatever teachings he or she was taught or not taught.
"Evil to the core👹😡
She should lose her license as well. Can you imagine someone post your newborn without consent.
The hospital also files a complaint with the state regulatory people who govern nurses.
She’s screwed . That is a HIPPA violation and there will be legal action taken against her , for sure
@@normadenisesaenz2464 Its alot more complicated that HIPPA.
Most likely she will.
Oh believe me she will either loose her license or be disciplined by the state nursing board. They take patient confidentiality very serious !
She failed as a human being. That’s worse then getting fired.
Exactly, I thought she got fired because she didn't want to get vaccinated and I completely understand when it comes down to personal choice. This what she did was disgusting and inhumane to di something like this.
@K B She’s also her own person who makes her own choices. Don’t try and blame this all on the parents lol she is the one who’s accountable

Yes
As a nurse practitioner and a registered nurse prior to that, let me say that I am embarrassed by this woman’s behavior. As the mother of 2 children that were in the NICU for 3 months after their birth, I am absolutely infuriated by her behavior.
I'm 7 weeks into nursing school, and patient confidentiality was one of the very first things we were taught! This is so clearly a no-no!
It was all about that social media attention. This is a big problem with society. Too many people get that little rush from getting a like on their post. They forget how to be human.
Same!!
Good luck with your studies KB. People don't realise that nursing is a very sensitive career. Sacumb to social media stupidity....pay the price.
Pay attention to ethics. You will last longer. These young ones seems to think everything is for the world to hear and see. Leave it to the licenced media. It's not your stupid responsibility to circulate pictures or news about the vulnerable #patientslivesmatter.

Calm down so over the top. You don’t know her and neither do I. Yes, she made a dumb mistake for social media dumbness. Like you just did

I think I have a pretty good idea why she did it. It starts with a C. Rhymes with Out. Yup.... The CLOUT.
These young Nurse's, CNA's and Doctor's needs monthly empathy training and professionalism.
They need MUCH more than that. They don't know how to think critically and they follow protocols regardless of the outcome.
Not just young ones, nowadays most of them! My Primary Care doctor knows my ongoing issues with back pain and his words to me were,” MY BACK HURTS AND I WALK MY DOG, GOLF AND USE MY HEATED SEATS IN MY CAR.” WTF, I lost respect for him and now it’s time to update our insurance, I will be updating me a new doctor!!!!!!!
@Sorey
Thanks and you are right. I went to him with right ear pain WITH FLUID running out and he looked in my ear, stated it had a little fluid but not red, sent me on my way. Well it continued to hurt and I went to an ENT and he looked in the ear and told me that I had a hole in my eardrum and that I could lose hearing if not treated. Prescribed me drops. I know, I should have left then.
We have to teach empathy now? They needed to know that by age 5! I would be so embarrassed to know her.
I agree. The new generation stinks
This is a perfect example of someone whose educated, but still lacks wisdom.

Yes, that is common, as is those who are wise yet uneducated.
And common sense
Someone in my nursing class was kicked out the final week of school because after spending the day with a cancer patient, the instructor asked her "what did you do for the patient today"? Her response was ' Nothing. She was dying anyway'. Bye bye Anna, straight A student.
One of my closest friends died in 1997, and I kept very close to her family. I hadn't seen them for awhile, and called to check in. Her dad was in the hospital, and wasn't doing well. Her mom was upset that she had to go home to take her blood sugar, and rest, but she didn't want to leave, and her other daughter was caring for her sick child. I learned this from the sister, whose child was ill. I told her I would be glad to sit with her dad, who I just loved so much. He was the best husband, father, and friend. I immediately called my friend's mom, and asked her if she wanted me to st with him. She was SO relieved. It was on a New Year' eve, and I told my husband the situation and went. The hospital felt empty, and there was no one around this man, and I was holding his hand, and talking quietly to him. His breathing was very laboured. I was telling him that his wife had to go home to test her blood sugar, and rest. I knew that would make him relax. He was so crazy about her, and took such good care of her, and his girls. I was relating some good memories we shared . His daughter, who was my close friend, and I had devised a trick birthday party one year. We took him, and her mom and sister, to a different town, but didn't tell them where, or what we were up to. We had so much fun. Another year we wrapped a bunch of gag gifts up, and put little notes on them, but hid his real gift. He loved the efforts we made to make his day fun! I was aware that his breathing had changed, so there were two aides, I had seen, at the end of the corridor, so I told him I'd be right back, and went to them. I explained that my friend's breathing has changed. One of them said, We'll be there in few minutes. I went back to the room, and waited, and in a short period of time they entered the room. One girl flipped the sheet off the patient, felt his leg, and said, "He's still warm." I was floored...I had NO idea, my friend was expected to die! His daughter gave me no clue, and may not have expected that either. I was angry, upset, and so sad. I stayed about two hours, and went home about two thirty a.m. I said nothing to the two aides, but when I spoke to my friend's mom, later. I told her what occurred, and she called the administrator's office, and reported what had happened. Some people are NOT equipped mentally, to deal with human beings. These so called " people" should be in a room with a computer all day every day, entering data. My friend's mom was informed that those aides would be dealt with severely. That was so totally uncaring. A word that should never be in a nurse's job.
Shameful. We're living in 'meme culture'
Not everything is funny or a joke.
Being a nurse wasn't her calling. She lacks empathy, compassion, trust, maturity, wisdom, discretion and respect. I'm so worried that we may have a generation of people who use such ignorant mockery at our most vulnerable moments.
I think about that every day!💯
Bingo!! Luv you.

This is scary because she was taught right from wrong in regards to patient confidentiality and still went against the rules of nursing and basic human decency.
Basic decency! She aught to have known better. But the craving for "likes" was more important.

My daughter was born with this Condition and it only happens in 1 in 10,000 babies. Is no joke but thank God she’s 24 and perfectly fine now. They were able to put everything back immediately when she was born but in that baby case it takes time when they intestines it never was in the body to put them Back without harming them because the body doesn’t have the room so they have to stretch your back slowly.

@@dentedcokecan I'm sorry, but I have to slightly disagree. It is not always the parents fault. For example, I have siblings who chose to go down the wrong path. However, I decided to go to college and establish a career, work hard like I seen my mother do and be a productive member of society. I treat people with respect and earned things in my life. Nothing was handed to me and I didn't go around breaking the law or mistreating people if things didn't turn out how I wanted them to. So no it's not always the parents failing. It's called free will and thinking they can do whatever they want to do. So yeah she is grown and old enough to KNOW BETTER. This is all on her boo.

I hope she never has to go through anything like this, watching your child fight for their life-all while their nurse posts and mocks their struggle. As a mom of 2 children who were in the NICU (1 for 3 months, 2nd for a month and a half) I can’t imagine what the parents are going through with their child’s nurse doing something so horrible. My children’s nurses were amazing and we formed bonds with them (as you should! @@doriancoreyscloset421 I'm talking in general, wasn't directed at you lol. I was a bit huffed up coz of the murderer. Sorry
Such apathy and doing a service whose core basis is empathy. This person failed both as a nurse and a human.
Hope the baby gets well soon. 🙏
I couldn't have said it better myself. How do you ridicule a sick newborn?? She truly has an evil heart. The next thing will be her friends and relatives talking about what a wonderful person she really is!🤷🏼🤦🏼😤😡😠
" We are born with low IQ's and cannot help it. " ~ LeMoron James
I just watched and burst into tears .
As a nurse myself, my heart hurts so much for the parents of the baby and for the little baby, too. She was supposed to protect and care for the child. She is a horrible human being. Good riddance.
I pray for the baby and the parents who are probably just heartbroken by this :(
God have a way of teaching individual who does things like this a lesson, that's is y people should never make fun of anyone
I hope to god KARMA teaches her a lesson that she will never forget! What a imbecile she is and that’s being nice.
@@sound-wave9535, Karma is simply God's retribution.
Oh it'll get it's turn. Violation of the innocent is not accepted. And The Will shall be done onto it. Salute
@pete louis I do believe in God. But I feel exactly as you do about it!
Karma is a good thing she will have a hard time getting another nursing job really sad .
It’s so sad when we realize … That poor baby just entered the world and already there are people ready to mock them for social media likes ,how much more insensitive can we get .
Exactly😢😠
You are absolutely correct
Hell if the government gets their way they will be killing babies up until birth. If this makes you sick, think of what doctors and nurses do during an abortion!!!!!!!! Heartless animals!
That's sick!! Glad she was caught and fired! I have a NICU baby and am thankful the NICU team was amazing.
My father used to own a nursing agency, and I was head of employee relations. I hired them, trained them, and applied state-mandated tests and videos.
I got to spend a lot of time with nurses whom were no on the clock, and not within earshot of patients.
What she did tracks with what I learned about nurses. It matches what I learned about teachers, while being a substitute teacher for a school district I had attended as a teen.
I’m glad her own social media “friends” reported her. I’m not understanding why you would work so hard for that nursing degree and not actually have a love for it?? Hopefully she will be forced to crate a only fans page due to lack of employment.
you're hoping she's forced to sell her body online because she took pictures of a sick baby? you need help with her!
( yakima)comment above for you Yakima , forgot to add your name
@@twinstarmusicent7514 ain’t nothing wrong with what they said! She deserves it! She will never have another job at a hospital. So she Better hit the pole or something.
@@naughtiasteffano9885 Sooooo being a stripper is the only job she’ll be classified to work as???
@@twinstarmusicent7514 I hate to throw the race card around but I now believe after reading some of these comments that her skin tone plays a major part in some folks comments. I truly believe her being suspended would’ve been just right for her because she only took a pic and posted it. I mean it’s not like she killed someone like a cop does that’ll only get desk duty amd be back on the job in 30 days.
Child is a minor and posting mean pics to social media was bullying. I hope they post her name at least to other hospitals and care facilities.
yeah if they wanted to im pretty sure they could Sue the Hospital in Violation of HIPPA..
really no different if a HIV victim came in for testing, tested positive, then nurse photos results and goes online to talk shit.
Its a total violation of privacy
id even ask my Lawyer to try to claim Pedophilia being shes taking photos of a likely naked child and putting them online
yeah, id get really nasty with hospital over this one..
I pray a decent young man sees this and stay clear!
Not only will she not be able to find a job now but I'm sure there will be a huge lawsuit now.
The worst part is that it wasn't even a mistake, it was intentionally shared with her friends and family for likes!!!! I bet she didn't even ask the parents of the baby if she take a picture of that baby let alone post it to her social media account. Smh!!!
It’s a sad time we’re living in. So much loss of empathy, compassion and morals in our younger generations….sad, sad times.
Hey yall old folks raised em . Never forget that.
@@NoMolechZoneLev lol, you know what is accountability ? No matter how you were raised, there is a time to grow up and be a decent human being. It's too easy to blame the boomers for our generations crap
And there is no fixing her depravity. She will bring it to the next job.
Unfortunately smh . What a terrible decision on her behalf.
At McDonalds! She will never get to making some coinage!
@@tammywebb8768 Mc. Donalds wouldn’t even take her.
If she can get another one!
I doubt she will be hired as a nurse again at least I hope not.
Social media, the gift that keeps on giving: Unemployment.
“My night was going great until I seen this sick baby!”? I wonder how she made it this far.
And I'll bet her response when she was reprimanded was "it's just a picture dang"😳
Young people for ya🤦♀️ they have no clue🤪
Yep, probably was, then she blamed someone else!
But I didn't do nothing!!!
@@patriciasavage4899 Or thee excuse your people are famous for: I'm mentally ill.🤫👿
Dont worry! How about it will be a prison dang😩
I had a nephew born with that. He survived 2 days. I'm praying for that child.
My condolences. 💐💛
Wtf is wrong with people? I don’t know what this world is coming to, I truly don’t. Imagine the parents of that poor baby, thinking THIS is the kind of person caring for our infant?
Good. Her behavior is reflective of ALL nurses! A nurse fired is a patient saved!!!
Amen true
“Your baby intestines posed to be inside not out”
And your brain is posed to be inside your head, enjoy unemployment after working and paying for that nursing license
@@youtubecreationyc.9956 more than likely true!
Wow…
Just wow..of course..u know her story and everything she’s been through..but because she’s African American..”affirmative action”…disgrace!
Welcome to a lifetime of "would you like fries with that?" Better than you deserve. What if that had been your baby? Would it still be funny? Humanity= FAIL
@@anestashaseaton6461 wow. Not every woman of color is educated because of affirmative action. Which coincidentally hasn't been around for nearly as long as the white privilege you seem to be speaking from. Unlike you, some of us worked. We weren't "family financed".
She shouldn’t be allowed to work in other hospitals. She needs to grow up and learn to be professional and it’s sad she did all that fit some likes on social media
She’s going to lose her nursing license. The parents could sue her for Hippa violation.
She don't need to grow up she need to act as a grown up person ..
Right . What a mess and a waste of time
She learned this behavior somehwere
It is unfortunate today that schools can only test for clinical skills, but not for a student’s maturity to perform a job. This kind of lack of humanity should have become apparent in this woman’s clinical training, but someone dropped the ball, and I suspect I know why.
So sad someone in the medical field could be so wicked.
Good!!! They should revoke her license too! Evil AF
She deserves MUCH MORE than getting fired...... ridiculous
She will probably lose her license. All that schooling will be for nothing and her future employment anywhere could be jeopardized because one search on the internet and boom= confirmation that she has piss poor character.
@@shewins3775 I really hope so because to be that much of a low human being… it’s disgusting… no one wants to be around a person like this or have them working for their company or hire her for anything.
@@edwintaveras1986 I agree!
My heart goes out to the babies family that have to deal with that medical situation and now have to deal with it because it's being made fun of. License/certificate needs to be revoked from all states when this is being done
