Your videography/ editing has been improving for a while now as you learn and use more effective but time consuming techniques such leaving the camera in one place as the movement goes on around or through the scene. The hardest video to watch is when a person holds or wears the camera and moves it in fast or jerky pans. In the Memphis Tennessee area, we are looking at 6" of snow and 10° headed for 2° in a day or two. More normal for your area than ours.
Have you ever thought of adding a small wind turbine to boost your solar batteries. It seems you get some decent wind up there all the time from your videos sound. Northern Tool used to have some decent inexpensive turbines in the kw range you would need.
Maybe the ladder could have a pull out type bracket and sit flush against the side of the pantry and could be pulled out in to position when needed.🙂👍👍🇨🇦

If you predrill your holes near the ends of your 2x4 they are less likely to split.
