TT bringing in his trashcan of cigarette butts made me fall on the floor laughing. I met Tommy once at a workshop he gave and he could have been a stand up comedian, and a real nice guy.
I met Tedesco at the Sept 1979 G.I.T. class orientation. After a few spekers and some playing, Tommy comes up and very sympathetically says that he knows there's a lot of practicing and other challenges that can get you down. You might have doubts about staying. Then he says you can come to my office and tell me about it, "and I'll buy you a bus ticket home." 😂
There are no more musicians like these anymore!! most aren't even what I would consider musicians! Everything today is computer generated auto tune ! I would love to see them go up against some of these guyd!
"That guy" was one of the top arrangers of pop music thru out the 60s into the 90s. He's worked with and helped start the careers of some of the biggest names in music.
I read his GP Magazine column. I had a subscription all through the 70s. That was the first thing I read everytime.
I loved Tommy for years before I was blessed to meet and get to know him. Great character!!
Artie Butler was great.
He quickly came up with the piano part in the studio for Cocker’s version of “Feeling Alright.”
I never met Tommy but I grew up in his hometown and knew many of his relatives. He is sadly Missed big time.

Back in the day my family grew with Tommy on 12th Street in Niagara Falls - my Dad had high respect for Tommy.
Please bring this guy back for another interview. He is a Character.!

Old school RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally Tommy! :-)
I was at that precise hotel yesterday… the elevator cars there hold up to ten people at a time… wow, he was MASSIVELY claustrophobic then! 😮
Elevator jokes fuckin hilarious
Artie's classic album HAVE YOU MET MISS JONES has not been reissued on CD. This is a tremendous oversight that needs to be rectified.
the elevator story had me 😂😂😂
That’s funny stuff !
'The elevator goes down' - that's gold. A claustrophobic Tommy trying to get 3 floors up - but nooooo.......
I just died laughing...
Ciao Artie...
Lol....that was funny
Hilarious! Brothers separated at birth!
One of the world's greatest drummers, greatest pair of hands...pushes the wrong !@#$%^&*& button! Belongs in Ripley's Believe It Or Not!
Hahaha!!!!!!
Tommy should have played his guitar in open tuning in the elevator.
I don't understood "how" someone could be that claustrophobic ... An elevator?
lmao
