- The Most Recorded Guitar Player In History. Have you ever heard of Tommy Tedesco? I bet quite a few haven't. Tommy did over 7000 recording sessions in his career as a Hollywood session artist with the Wrecking Crew.

Very well done video. His guitar work defined a generation of television radio productions. Nice tribute.
Thank you sir. 🙏🎸✌🏻
I believe he was on Fernwood tonight. Hysterical
Yep, very comical guy!
I'm 63 and have been playing the gitfiddle since the early to mid-70's (I still play 3 or 4 times per week). I remember reading Tommy's columns in Guitar Player magazine in the later 70's where he described in detail particular sessions on which he worked. The gig, the music, the money. They were great columns. I would love to read these again if anybody has a source. Thanks for the video Joe.
Awesome comment thank you! ✌🏻
He had the reputation as a phenomenal sight reader.
Absolutely! ✌🏻
I just commented the same above. Apparently, he could even read fly sh*t. I love the story about Glen Campbell turning his chart upside down and Tommy played it perfectly.
I am form the Niagara Falls area. Tommy was legend here.
He’s a legend to me and I’m in Florida!!!
That was great! Tommy was amazing! Looking forward to your next one!
Thanks brother!!! 🎸🔥🤘🏻✌🏻
Very well done 🤟🎸🎼🎶📻
Thanks!!!
Great content
Thank you! 🎸✌🏻
I got to see him perform 👍😃
Wow, I bet that was cool!
Tommy has a great story. Started playing guitar in his early 20's and still became a phenomenal sight reader. Would correct any errors or bad notes on the fly as he played. Could read music and pretty much got all the acoustic/flamenco session parts he was that good....
Never knew his name until lukather did a story on some of his favorite session guys. Tommy was his favorite.
Yeah, he was quite the musician 🎸✌🏻
Tommy was one of the best!
Tommy was also an incredible sight reader! No tab here!
That’s right and he had an incredible ear!
Xxxxxxelllllent! Thanks
Thank you ✌🏻
I remember Tommy driving a Trans am. Called himself the Italian stallion. Miss him
That’s so awesome. I’m still looking for my books he wrote that I was studying back in high school in the early 90’s ✌🏻
He was in the jazz group at Mothers club on Peter Gunn
Yep!
He sure was an interesting man.
For sure 🎸✌🏻
Tommy!
🎸🔥
Steve Lukether or however the hell you spell his last name, said Tommy was the best sight reader ever.
Glen Campbell once put his Rooms music upside down as a joke and TT played it perfectly.
Yep!
Yeah I read that too
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks!!! ✌🏻
Can u do Nazareth, ufo,, Uriah Heap , Hot Tuna, Leslie West, and Ted Nugent, and Ritchie Blackmore! Ty
Also a FULL video on Rory
Yeah, I started slowing down on this subject because of copyright issues. If I can figure out a way to make entertaining content without getting into copyright claims, I’ll do it!
What about Howard Roberts?
I mentioned him in the video
FALSE! Tommy Todesco thought he was the most recorded guitarist and happily lied about it to promote himself. He didn't realize guys like HAROLD BRADLEY in Nashville were regularly recording 20 songs a day, 5 days a week for decades. Todesco's output wasn't even close. Stop promoting this myth.
All the resources I researched never mentioned any of this intel. If you’ve got anything that supports this I’d love to read it. ✌🏻
I’ve heard of Tommy, never heard of Harold.
@@JamesBrown-js3lmI have
Tommy definitely played on more top 10 hits than anyone. You also heard him on many TV shows.
Grady Martin was considered the top session guitarist in Nashville during that time.
I was guessing Steve Lukather. Maybe he's the "working man" of my generation. Because honestly I've never heard of this guy. But honestly I didn't watch the whole video so I have no idea what songs he played on.
Ok, thanks
everybody knows this, tell us something we cannot read online
Will do Monte, thanks
You forgot Glen Campbell. Best guitarist ever.
He mentioned him.
No, I did mention him as part of the Wrecking Crew ✌🏻
@@joehansonguitar My bad ✌️
All good!!
@@joehansonguitar I have to sub to you.
Great content 👍
Dude, several of your demonstrations have wrong notes. Please, learn the tune.
Thanks for watching ✌🏻
Also how do you think those musicians feel when they have established bands, they can play and they record company brings in somebody else to do the playing. Rip Tommy Tedesco
The producers have other plans. Some band don’t actually do well in the studio. There’s more of this going on than most realize. That might make a good video.
He made light of his expertise, but he was untouchable!!
Time is money. Wrecking Crew, Funk Brothers, Muscle Shoals, etc. could produce three or four finished tracks in one three hour session. The established bands? Not even close to that kind of productivity.
@@billnorswether3720 I don't care
@billnorswether3720 that’s right
