  • Welcome to this weeks woodturning video.
Woodturning - My Best Idea Yet? 💡
In this woodworking video, firstly I make a blank using epoxy resin and apple burl. I then use a woodturning lathe to turn an ornate river bowl.
When woodturning a piece, I find it important to nibble away at it until I see what shape the wood wants to be, this is what is so enjoyable about woodturning. I have been told that my video's fall into the ASMR category.
If you find these videos entertaining I’d appreciate you like, share and subscribe.
    Thanks for watching.

    Ahhh...tricky tricky Jack...
I think it's reasonable to say..those who follow your art may attempt to guess what you are doing next (me)...he's making a mortise and will turn his blank over and remove the support and bolts..nope...huh ?!..the center is opened..will he fill it somehow ?..more resin ?...
Ok..he'll round the sides up almost to the bolts..yikes !..nope...oohhh..he's cutting circles to mount together !..lol...
It's always an adventure trying to figure out the form and manner of making...
Thank you Jack for this excellent adventure and the beauty you bring forth...
    As always...🌿🌿🌿

Thank you. I love the fact that so many of you enjoy the guessing aspect of the videos and now do my best to not reveal the finished product in the title or thumbnail. Glad you enjoyed.. you think that was the right colour resin?

      @@JackMackWoodturning yes !...
I was worried the more opaque blue would take over..but it did produce a nice mix..creating shallows along the edges and maybe a sandbar or two...
It's fun trying to keep up the "what's next ?"..lol...thank you for your response...best wishes to all..🌿🌿🌿

This is beautiful! The bowl looks like a river is running through it! Wonderful craftsmanship. I hope you have an outlet to sell your art.
