There was a strong Jewish community in Sri Lanka in the 10th and 11th centuries,I think. Our piano tuner in Sri Lanka was Jewish.

I have been to the Chabad a few times because I have always been interested in Jewish culture and learned a bit of Hebrew--people at Chabad are very friendly and I was really surprised and happy that we do have a small Jewish community here in Sri Lanka. Have you been to Kandy and Nuwara Eliya yet? It's a beautiful place.

Another nice vlog. Wow 15:20 it's so cool t-shirt. After colombo I recommend you to go Down south there have gorgeous beaches kalutra,hikkaduwa, bentota, galle ,mirissa and tangalle. So if you like to hike then you must go ella. There have little adamspeak( punchi sri padaya) ella rock rawana waterfall, famous nine archer bridge etc. Also sri lanka most historical place are sigiriya (the lion rock) and the dalada maligawa(kandy) sri lanka have many beautiful places so enjoy your tour👍🐘🐋🐳🐆🐒🌹🌸

Apart from beach destinations,there are historic and natural environments that youshould see, people will soon start bombarding u with suggestions. Kandy-hill capitol, Anurdhapura n Polonnaruwa area for historic ruins, Jaffna for a whole different experience, East coast for surfing, Badulla-Ella area for waterfalls,trekking. You can go from rainorest to desert, dry to humid, nature to history all that within a very small area. Hope u will be staying long enough to experience at least a part of it. Bon voyage mon ami👍

Erm, you kinda mispronounced Kohomada again 😅 You may have seen it written as "Kohomade" because the last vowel is a schwa. The correct pronunciation is "Ko-ho-ma-duh" !
And if someone asks you "Kohomada?", you can reply with "Hondai" (good).
The word kohomada literally means "how", but in this context it's "How are you?"
