2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 CrewMax with 6.5ft Bed! ARMY GREEN and SILVER

- In this short video I show two beautiful 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 CrewMax trucks in both Army Green and Silver Metallic. Both look great… but I don’t know if I’m sold in the new power-plant. Think I’d prefer the thirsty 5.7L V8…
Army Green looks good but the markup makes it look a lot worse hah…
Which one would you choose? Would you aim for a different trim perhaps? Waiting for that new Solar Octane Tundra TRD Pro? Or Lunar Rock perhaps?
The fact that this comes with the CrewMax and extended 6.5ft bed is pretty cool… no denying that. WhT are your thoughts?
Thanks for watching as always!

Now that the 2nd gen Tundra isn't built anymore I fell in love with it even more. It's just such a great vehicle that will never let you down. Looking to buy older Lexus sedans and they also have these amazing engines and reliability.
I’m with you on that. Unfortunately the gen 2 Tundra prices will likely remain sky high for quite some time because of this…
@@UntamedMotors Yeah Toyota is number 1 at resale value and the Tundra will probably be a major reason why that's the case.
The SR5 and TRD Pro definitely have the best front end.
I had to “like it” just for the longer bed! This is so much more useful than the short short beds.
I agree 100%
Got to wait 2, 3, 4 and even 5 years to see how the new Tundra's Quality, Durability and Reliability.
Edit: by the way, I like the silver color.
Yeah you got that right. How do you think the turbo variant will fare?
@@UntamedMotors Toyota will not keep this problem sit for long and it is a good thing that it happens on Tundra's first year which we saw it coming knowing Toyota they will act fast to fix it, every problem has a solution. On the same page as the Tundra, 2023 Toyota Sequoia (still not available right now) is a sign that Toyota is still testing it on US roads (real world testing) with TRD Pro to test it's Quality, Durability and Reliability before releasing it to public.
I hope I answered your question, I am not working with Toyota, thanks.
I have the silver SR5 4X4 one on 37s……Its flawless and I don’t really know wtf those of you who do NOT have one are saying about all these so called issues!
I actually like the new engine better I think it’s sweet they literally took the Tacoma engine and strapped twin turbos on it that’s so cool IMO
The V35A-FTS and the 2GR- FKS are 2 separate engine architectures! The V35A in the tundra is awesome though 😁
@@YerBoyTroy I mean they reduced compression but other then that it looks to be the same 3.5 liter which is really a 3.4 all aluminum Dohc v6 with a d4s head I’m sure they braced the block some
Efffff Koons Toyota. They are charging 15-20-30 thousand above msrp. Tried selling me a 22 TRD pro 4r for $80k plus fees. I hope they go out of business.
Their kia dealership just got fined one million dollars for making consumers pay fake fees.
I still feel this new tundra design is what the next Gen Tacoma should’ve been.
Haha I agree… the whole front end screams Taco…
Beautiful Well built trucks with the proper bed lengths! I’m enjoying mine 100% and gapping V8s while on 37s!
Drove a 22 the other day. Very dissapointed. Trd off road had no power seats so no way to adjust seat height. Sat way too low. Also interior felt cheap af. Sluggish in normal mode. Came alive more in sport mode.
I wondered how the “new and fancy” interior would truly feel to the touch… I’m not impressed by the new Tundra at all… =| which I’m sad to say.
Sounds like you drove a bottom end sr5 trim. Of course it’s not gonna have any features. You sat in a low end trim. Try judging a truck with real features ya dingus
@@c1rca23 trd off road u dumb fuck. Im aware of differences in trims. Since then i drove a 1794. Still not a fan. There.
Wait till the TRD Pro or Platinum
Nice sideview mirrors as well.
Love it!
How much was this out the door price ?
the step, the rear mirror, this is not a standard trim of SR5 LB
Test drove the Army green in Santa Fe. Loved the interior. Great acceleration. Great comfort n fell. But seemed low to the ground. Owning a 2020 TRD PRO it's hard to compare. The 22 has a way better look and feel interior. Exterior ehhhhhh. Maybe I need it leveled with 35s to make it fair? 🤔 but still I loved the creature comforts. Very modern.
They are low. My local dealer gets like five a week.
I am 6’ 1” and I can reach the bed inside the truck. I looked at a 2019 earlier tonight and couldn’t.
The long bed looks even worse. The proportions of this truck are just off. Yuck!
What I hate the most about the new Tundra is I don't have one in my driveway for me Crewmax 6.5 bed
The crewmax 6.5 is the perfect truck. The crewmax short bed 5.5 is stupid stumpy. You prob like a stumpy fake truck that’s for image instead of one made to do real work. The double cab 8’ bed is a great work truck.
I like the Trd Pro better.
I’m with you on that 100%
These tundras are just embarrassing for Toyota lately. Hopefully they don't follow that trend with the 4Runner and the tacoma. Looks like that's Sequoia is looking awesome so far
How can the tundra be embarrassing but the sequoia look awesome when they’re like the exact same vehicle just one is a truck and one is an suv. They share tons of the same parts. Only big difference is the front bumper styling.
@@c1rca23 haha yeah I wrote this 3 months ago. I have changed my tune a bit, but you have to do some aftermarket stuff to the truck before it looks good.. That being said, I'm content with my 4Runner though lol
Haha 5k markup. These greedy dealerships will never get my business. Maplewood Toyota in MN at least doesn't charge above msrp.
Let's talk about the Koons lawsuit.
Koons Kia was just fined 1 million dollars by the Maryland attorney general. Come on man
Did you say the markups are because Toyota? Stop the bs. Markups are up to individual dealers. Bought mine at msrp. Only about 15% of dealers are charging a markup or mandatory add ons.
You must be new here. Lol. I’m very much aware that this is a dealership problem… not a “big Toyota corporate” problem. I think you just misunderstood
My I didn’t hear ya correctly the first time. 😂
@@gwquiroz haha all good brother!
Not a fan of the base trims. Just doesn’t do it for me.
The SR5 with the TRD Off-road package is nice.
@@brucesimpson8579 agree except the chrome mustache grill
Too long. I don't like it.
Trucks don’t have short beds…… cars do.
BIG meh. Toyota lost me. Ordered a 22 F-150 Tremor.
How many mile you think you can get out of F
