0:41 it shouldn't have to be said, but please, do under no circumstances do what is done here. You will lose your fingers, if the machine is running. Don't even do it when the machine isn't running, especially not if it is connected to power. It is a recipe for disaster and what you see at 0:41 should never be done, regardless of whether the machine is powered on or not. Complacency leads to recklessness, which leads to loss of limbs. Old craftspeople who still have all of their limbs intact, have so because they respect the power of the machines they use. I strongly suggest that you do the same. When using the machine, make sure to always have the guard (visible in the bottom left corner at 0:41 to 1:07) cover all of the planers knives that would otherwise be exposed, as it doesn't take more than a single slip of your fingers and they are gone. It is there to protect you. Use it. Also, when installing the vertical plate, make sure it is at a perfect 90 degrees. You can do that with an engineering square, as they are also used by cabinet makers for marking perfect 90 degree angles (quite important for western style dovetail joints). When using the jointer, make sure the workpiece is butted entirely up against this plate during the duration of the planing, as that increases the likelihood of your planed piece to be perfect. That is at least what I was told at school, any more experienced cabinet makers are free to correct me. Sincerely, a Cabinet Maker Apprentice.
Thanks for pointing that out. That's used on the thicknesser. It has 2 holes, so you can use the rod as an extension when the wood comes out. If you look on the box at the beginning of the video, you can catch a glimpse. I only used it once because I catch the pieces as they come out.
hello friend, yours has no defect on the trowel top table, mine came with a defect one side of the mobile table is lower than the other has a manufacturing defect, I tried to solve it by doing a procedure, it improved a little but it still has a defect , when I pass the wood to straighten it eats more on one side than the other , I do not know what to do , do you have any tips , its thickness is very good , but the top table is no good , I have a video of this defect on my other channel , if you want to see I can send you the link showing this defect
Mine started to do the same thing after around 2 months. Couldn't find a solution so far. I decided to use it for unimportant house/garden work and save up some money to get a better planer/thicknesser
Hello, with all honesty, I would not recommend it for anything else than hobby level and soft wood only. It's not 100% leveled, and the blades tend to rip harder wood like walnut. If you need to build a pine fence or a swing or something like that it's OK, but for more precise work it isn't. Better save some more money and get something else.
I just bought this machine and the two plates are not parallel, so I just can't use it as a jointer, only the planner works. Does this happen to you also?

in shoping webpages reviews people say the table is not straight, it has 2mm differences between entrance and exit. is it true?
Yes, it is. It can be adjusted a bit. However, I wouldn't recommend it for precision woodworking
yea , i just bought "Hais" brand, also german brand. it has no problem so far. @@escu.woodwork
Where do I get one and how much is it

@jobimc sadly, it does. It works better when you set it to the minimum depth. If you try to take out more material, the jointer sucks.
@@escu.woodwork In my case even if you set depth to 0, the platforms are not parallel. Is the same for you or is it a manufacturing defect? Thanks!
С одной стороны там нет подшипника, только пары трения. Думаю со временем переделаю.
