I have been waiting for ages for Cole to take Jay on this trip and it looks like she had a blast. How are you feeling sweetie-pea? Gotta love it when the team fishes together……..thx Cole! She was in perfect mode!!
Cole - enjoyed seeing you in Academy yesterday. It was so funny you heard me in the next isle……while I was bragging up your channel. This video is exactly why I love you two and watching your videos. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!
I love trout prepared butterfly and de bone. Skin on, soak in salt, lemon squeezed, and milk. 20 minutes. Fish dust of your choice, pan fry in Cajun oil. Peanut oil with Cajun seasoning. Blend oil. Heat and fry brown coat both sides. Caper, lime, cucumber juice tarter sauce. Great video and pretty good net work.
Great video. I never lived close enough to a trout lake, creek or river to learn how to catch trout--never caught one. But I surely like to eat 'em. Glad to see you fishing together.
I lived on Lake Taneycomo from 1965 thru 1970. My secret go to bait was Velveeta cheese on a #18 Treble hook on a leader 8 to 10 inches up from the end of the line with a fair sized bell sinker on the end of the line, no bobber. Cast upstream and let it bump down the bottom with the current. I had trout almost every day. If they were not hitting the cheese (not very often), whole kernel corn or bright pink salmon eggs worked pretty good. All three on the same style rig.
Hi Cole and Jay. Great to see Jay back out there. Beautiful looking fish. Never could get into fly fishing. Love hearing Jay laugh God bless and love yall ❤❤
Great seeing " J" back and your Brownie was a beautiful fish if you get a chance ask Jeff where do I look on Google so I can become a knowledgeable trout fisherman like Jeff( he's so funny). And as always thank you guys for all the hard work you put in you channel can't wait until Summer says " put it in the bucket ". Joey
Nice day catching Beauties 🎉. My favorite Fish to fry up in a buttery pan! No need to filet, just cook both sides then lift the tail ,filets lift right out👍. JO JO IN VT 💞
I know family and taking care of them is super important but it was SO NICE to see Cole and Jay together with those tight lines again. God bless Cypress and Summer🥰🥰🥰
Great day of trout fishing! They are a hoot to catch! And tasty, end especially the browns. So happy things have worked out so Jay can be here again. You two are a treasure! Love ya. God bless all here.
Hi Jay, I live in Kansas and we don't have any real trout streams available to us. But Im close enough to Missouri to get to some pretty good trout waters. I notice you use a D2jig. Are you referring to the jig head (D2) and attaching a split tail rubber jig ??? Or is this a special rig you've created. In any case what are your favorite jig colors for trout. Thanks.
We don’t have any trout fisheries here where the water gets above 70 degrees except for some places where they only stock trout in the winter. Any of those that remain in those areas just die when the water warms, but all the rivers we fish the trout only exist in the cold water portions.
Dear Cole, you really are punching above your own weight with your sweet, precious bride.❤❤❤ LOL Since I discovered your channel I watch you religiously, and the few times I’ve seen your pods without Jay, I’ve been very disheartened, because without her beauty and charm I’ll go watch Brooke Crist Outdoors. JK! But I do want to make another comment, if you don’t mind. When you wear your GoPro across your body, your hands and arms block much of the action. Is it possible for you to wear it on your hat and give us viewers a better view? Please? I watch other channels (sorry) where the anglers do that and I’m able to catch more of the action. Now. Regardless of what I said above, I’m never gonna not watch y’all. I’m 76, a widower, a disabled Vet, an amputee (right foot gone), I have no equilibrium, and I have COPD, which limits exertion. But back in my day, while on active duty, Saturdays and Sundays were my fishing days. Now I can’t, so I live vicariously through y’all, from my bed or couch. So catch a mess for Bob Pensacola, Fl ❤ (Beat Army!)
I hate watching people catch good eating size and they throw them back.. Is not rite how would they feel if it was them getting hooked and thrown back so they can keep getting hooked again
You should Never touch a trout with dry hands, It takes the protective slime off their body. She would set the rod down and grab the fish out of the net. BAD
@@COLE_and_JAY Ok thank you so much for the information I was just wondering love your videos and those little punsins, I hope your dog is doing better, was heartbroken to hear what happened.
Really nice to see you back JJ, for you will leave these guys in the past. For I love you both. Old Master Gunnery SGT USMC.

Just enjoy your catch and cook content.

Catalog worms should be available. Many probably forgot about these old favorites. The fish like them too.
Man y’all tore em up. Beautiful place
This was a weak day for this river, but still can’t complain!
That's a beautiful area your fishing at
Cron is wroms are the best beat for trout.
Great video. Which model of Waterland optics are you wearing?
www.waterlandco.com/collections/slaunch-series
I’ve used eggs for steelhead and salmon, also trout👍
Nice catch !!!!!!
I’ve been struggling with trout in the heat in lakes and rivers. How exactly do you set up your rig?
Hi Jay, I live in Kansas and we don't have any real trout streams available to us. But Im close enough to Missouri to get to some pretty good trout waters. I notice you use a D2jig. Are you referring to the jig head (D2) and attaching a split tail rubber jig ??? Or is this a special rig you've created. In any case what are your favorite jig colors for trout. Thanks.
The lure is just called a D2 jig. It’s a marabou type jig that trout magnet produces! It’s deadly!
Thanks for that quick response. @@COLE_and_JAY
So what river? And what as that green rod and reel that you caught that brown on early on that was chasing the rainbow?
We have all of the gear linked in the video description for your convenience!
@@COLE_and_JAY I live in Rogers Arkansas and would love to go fishing with you. Preferably off camera. I have a lot of gear and love to fish
What kinda boat is that. I dig it
It’s a Supreme!
Small boober small pink and white bluefox lure with a wax worm never fails
Trout are good eating
I love trout
Rainbow trout get very big.
Awesome nice to know 😮
too much fish my dear friends❤
Where please
Keeper
It's great to see Jay back and in her usual Slab Queen form.
Tge big trout hug out in tge pools
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why aren't you cleaning and cooking? Best fish in the world fresh out of the water😊
Jay jay is going to smoke both of them in the number game.
Up north we don’t catch trout if water is 70+F. They die from stress even if released. Same but you or not?

@@COLE_and_JAY that’s great. Ours are in shallow streams

Looks like taneycomo
Getting sun burn again! Be careful
Two hands taking the slime off of trout might
Kill them
Our hands were wet
Fish Ohio. Ashtabula river. 24th.mouth of the lake.
I hate watching people catch good eating size and they throw them back.. Is not rite how would they feel if it was them getting hooked and thrown back so they can keep getting hooked again
Corn
☺️👌🙌
LOL, no such thing as a bait that never fails. :)

WHAT ???????
The guide wasn’t worried about it, so why should you.😮
People only care about Jay, not your other guests!
I would have kept them trout
So am I understanding that the hooks have no barbs and if that is the case, why?
Legal requirement for trout fishing in this area
