I think that 488's whistle is the same whistle that white pass and yukon route #69 has!
Love those narrow gauge steam locomotives 🚂
#484,#487,#488,#489, and #497 have amazing whistles! #488 and #497 are my 2 favorite steam trains.
What an incredible site to see!
All of these whistles are incredible! My favorite whistles, in my opinion, are from engines 484, 487, and 497.
484’s whistle, wow! Just wow!
All great whistles from these five D&RGW steam locomotives at the Cumbres & Toltec.
3:17.
488’s whistle prior to this filming had previously been used on the 487 during the 1980s. There are a couple of videos you can find of that on UA-cam
i love 488's & 497's whistles
Some of this was used in choo-choo trains, close-up, and very personal
You're right
All locomotives had 5 chime whistles except for 489, which had a 3 chime, maybe a Powell?
Very good at all but i really want to see it makes quintuple header in 2022 when all narrow gauges not retired and not scraped
Awesome thanks 🙏
2:39 let's get the party of 5 Steam Engines started!
Sadly the C&TS chose to restore 492 over 497! Would be nice to see 497 run again though!
This is so really epic!!!!!
#487 has got to be my favriote K-36. 3:02
Engine.

Engine's 484, 487, 488, 489, & 497. I wished K-27 Engine 463 was there.
This was in 1992. 463 wasn’t restored quite yet. She came back to operation in 94.
@@HinckleyBranchRailfan Well lets just say 463 missed out from that special event.
What about 492?
What happened to 489’s Powell 3 chime. Is it still on the property?
The one on the D&S was borrowed from someone, and it doesn't sound the same, so I think its a totally different powell that was put on 482.
What movie is this? I recognize the Narrator voice from the America by Rail movies.
Rio Grande Steam Freights

John Hinsbergen. Long gone
@@nicholasmedovich6729 it's sad
this is completely pointless but I love it
I love all of the whistles #1 2:30, 3:02, 3:18, 3:29, and 3:43
