Amnesty International is a sham organization. It too has its roots tied with Islamic militants and CCP.

Fantastic vid my friend.. sadly was interrupted by harbor freight advert, shockingly ironic amount of them for knockoff companies selling disposable junk, or intentionally time wasting mobile games/ticToc, pandemic(s) requiring loads of test kits and safety gear that will get dumped in the ocean.. well, before I get carried away, thanks always for everything you do ))) very awesome )))
Overfishing is so underrated as a crime towards all of humanity. The destruction of entire marine ecosystems has devastating impacts on the poor around the globe..

This video is extremely underrated. UA-cam is definitely undermining this too.
100%
They're undermining themselves by the new interface (no public dislike counters, external link ban, etc.).. There are economic and political reasons for it.
However, it's nearly all automatic. Alphabet is not Chinese, so no reason to move this down purposely on reccomendation lists. They can demonitize for sensitive topics, but algorithm works on it's own. We're served by IA with a hidden source code, so no way of telling.

Without doxing myself or the Safety company I worked for... They gave all of our legislative and legal guidelines to a Chinese manufacturer. The company supplied all sorts of road safety equipment and road furniture, like stop signs, traffic cones, etc. A year later, all the local manufacturers shut down, and all the equipment and furniture was being produced in China. I couldn't believe how stupid the company director was for doing this. He single-handedly destroyed a local industry in its entirety.
Government policies destroyed them.

Nice summary Jim Viau, but personally, I would rank them differently myself.
For me, #1 would be human rights. I've been a contributing member of Amnesty International since I was 14. This is a personal preference which is a result of my life experiences.
2. Plastic Pollution. I've tried hard to solve this problem as best as I can. Buying Earth Breeze laundry detergent and using Britta filters to cut plastic bottles entirely out of my household.
3. Overfishing the Ocean I suppose it's obvious I have environmental leanings. Nuff Said
4. Intellectual property theft. My brother and I are both in the creative arts. I have always been paranoid about getting our intellectual property stolen.
5. COVID Mishandling. That report from Winston was pretty damning. Still, I got to put it at the bottom of the list.
Have a good evening and I wish you the best. :)

When I met my Chinese professor for starting a PhD at a university in Beijing, he told me: “To get a PhD here will be easier than getting a Bachelor degree in your country. Here you just have to take 3 to 4 papers from your country, summarize them and rearrange everything until it passes our 查重系统 [an online plagiarism checking system for papers]. Even if the score returned is higher than 25% you still can rephrase some paragraphs, exchange some words, references or change the results of questionnaires or statistics a little bit.” Thanks for playing!

Actually doesn't surprise me, either. They seem culturally sterilized from unique thought. I am surprised they have plagiarism scoring app, and they are that up-front about it with foreigners.
Um, what sort of education were you hoping to gain there?
Calling it a "mishandling" of covid is quite the misnomer if they intentionally stopped domestic flights but allowed international flights. I prefer the word conspiracy.
Whatever happened to the Hong Kong protests? They were huge until suddenly "covid", then nothing, no one heard anything else and no one remembered.
They definitely did that shit on purpose
The overfishing is so true, my uncle is from tonga. And I went to Nuku Alofa for 3 months, and its waters are scarce of fish because the Chinese have raided it all.
Raided and destroyed the ocean floor
They also send fish aggregating devices through French Polynesia let them wash from East to West with the Pacific currents. One of these devices washed up on shore of the island of Rangiroa when I was there on holidays. They don't dare invading French Polynesia's waters with their fishing fleet because it's a part of France aka a nuclear power, but they use more subtle methods to gather the fish from there illegally.

What I can say to your viewers and those who should be viewing: You are telling the truth, and the regime is relentless and brutal no matter what front they put on things. They are like the more successful older brother of North Korea, but the CCP rules with just as much of an iron fist, if not more-so. I wish you well. You no doubt are well aware, but I'll say it anyway, stay alert and aware of your surroundings, wherever you are in the world. Goods are not the only thing the CCP exports, they export their infiltration teams and individuals around the globe to steal and influence, always under the table and on the sly. The people, most of them, are wonderful and intelligent, making me believe they must resent the CCP very deeply for stifling and forcing the population to defer to the CCP above all and always. @@awjaaa I stand corrected. We always just called them the PRC back in the day, but then realized that was the country and not just the "Party".
Chinese fishing fleets don't just "overfish", they use huge drag nets which completely scrape the ocean floor clean of everything, no matter what it is, and leave behind a desolate underwater desert, with every lifeform and ecosystem scoured out of it. From the floor up, huge nets capture everything and anything that might be swimming around in those waters, obliterating whatever ecosystems and lifeforms that had been there. Just to get a temporary haul, at the expense of completely destroying what had been there, is incredibly short sighted, while the fleets simply move into a new area they can do the same to.
The only thing china understand is don't step on my land.
They exploit everything, lol
Every one of these on their own is reason enough to never trust, do business with, or in any way support the Chinese government or businesses (linked to the government). The disproportionately small reaction to these issues from the rest of the world needs to change.

Amounts that our planet cannot recover from and only China and those greedy and stupid enough to trade with and invest in and profit from China don't care what damage they do and aren't interested in solving the problems.
It's a long held myth that big corporations & governments told populations - it's on YOU ALL to recycle & prevent pollution! - but in reality, 90% of waste comes from those corporations. I think John Oliver even broke down recycling myths too, & how nearly all the stuff produced by those companies can't be recycled anyway.
So sure, we can all do our part in helping reduce waste, but in the end big business is most responsible. Biggest difference between somewhere like the US, Finland (or any Western country) & China is that at least there are far stricter regulations in the West, and more serious public pressure. Serpentza, thank you for your excellent (13+ years) reporting with boots on the ground assessments concerning China. It is clear that you truly care for the people of China and your support for their way ahead is laudable and sincere. Our grandfather left China in the early 1900s and migrated to the U.S., and never returned. I and a sibling were the only descendants to visit China since our grandfather left the country. He left to escape the extreme poverty that existed there. In the spring of 2019, we spent a few weeks travelling to Macau, Hong Kong, Shang Hai, Xi'an and Beijing. We contracted a private tour with guide and driver.
Having spent some years living in different states within the U.S. and also in Europe, it was interesting to note that the majority of visitors to China's popular sites were the local Chinese people. I then realized that this was not an anomaly but perhaps a concerted effort by the CCP to promote nationalism.
Before leaving I invited our tour guide to visit us in the U.S., and offered a place to stay and tour of Hawaii for free. The expression on the guide's face at first glance was enthusiastic, but then transformed to an expression of sadness with appreciation.
We tend to take our freedom for granted, a visit to countries like China will quickly remedy that. Best wishes and kind regards to you always Serpentza. And please continue to "Stay Awesome”.

1) There was no CCP in the early 1900s when China was bullied by all the empires, that's why your grandfather left the country. He left to escape the extreme poverty that existed there. NOT because of CCP.
2) I visited many US's popular sites, and most of the visitors are American, does that mean the US gov't is promoting nationalism?
3) Are you sure a random tour guide in the US has sufficient money to visit China? he may have a bachelor's degree in tourist management, and still has a $150,000 student loan to be paid for the next 25 years.
4) Google it yourself. Statistics show that in 2019, Chinese people made 155 million trips abroad, making the country the top source of international tourists, far ahead of second and third-placed Germany and the United States. Why do these 155 million people choose to return to "no-freedom" China, unlike your grandfather who "escape from China and never returned", why? why? why?

I think that Chinese people assume someone else is being paid to clean up after them. In restaurants they can make a disgusting mess, but someone will wipe it off the table and sweep the floor. On the street, there are elderly who are paid very little to sweep the street. Even in picnic areas, someone is there to clean up the trash. It never come across their mind to put the slightest importance on respect for the environment, respect for animals and respect for humans in their education
They don't see animals the way west do since their country isn't fitted for cattle.
India as example think greatly about animals that they made gods out of them.
You need to be on all the MSM showes to spread your message. Bravo, you’re an inspiration.
Should be compulsory viewing for all environmentalists, Greens etc!
You're awesome!
Dude. Good reporting. Very informative 👍
Keep the videos coming, very interesting channel.
If companies are so worried about IP theft, then I have this novel idea: bring manufacturing back to their home countries that actually care about the IP theft. God forbid a CEO lose a couple mil a year. I feel worse for the people who run campaigns on funding sites and have no option but to use Chinese manufacturing because they have no options in their home country. It's sickening.
Legend!
What a weird position to take. You do understand that IP theft can happen even if manufacturing is another country, right? They just buy the product and backwards engineer it. It doesn't really have anything at all to do with a CEO losing a couple mil a year. For the most part, the world's manufacturing base would have to be built from near scratch. Which, it should do, don't get me wrong. But that won't be "a couple mil a year" for some CEO, it'll be massive price increases in a great number of products due to the fact that we have human rights and don't treat our employees the way they're treated in China. Your typical iPhone would go up in price by at least 75% (a generous, low ball estimate) if it were manufactured and built in America - and that would only be a couple years after the factories were built, the supply chains were built, etc. Before then, it'd be way higher. And the CCP would still just steal it and undercut sales, so it becomes a political/economical problem as well. This is far, far, far more complex than "God forbid a CEO lose a couple mil a year.)
You mean what Trump was trying to do? How did that work for him?
IP theft has nothing to do with manufacturing stuff...
@@shukuffxi these tracking, tracing, socially engineering phones *should* be expensive
Always truthful, detailed and informative. Thank you.
I've been watching your channel for years, since back when you lived in China and I'm so happy to see that you still produce top quality videos about China even after leaving. Keep up the good work Winston.
Excellent work again Winston, thank you
Didn't expect to see Jeremy Clarkson 4:53 on this channel!
They think they are the beacon of the world, but they are only capable in copying stuff, pretty badly.
Evil cannot creat new things, it can only corrupt.
Copy stuff & copy altitude of attitude.
The fact that their evil is ignored by the governments of the free world is a crime of omission.
Thank you for highlighting the most important things in the world right now,. Stay with it !! Love you :)
Excellent information. Wish 60 Minutes and others like them could broadcast your
video of "telling it like it is".
Top content very informative Serpentza
There are two things I didnt expect in this video: 1. Jeremy Clarkson. 2. Jeremy Clarkson caring for the environment and picking up trash in the sea.
Top man
Thank you, Clarkson!
I work for an oil and gas company, We aren't allowed to deal with any Chinese company due to IP issues, and every month we get a Chinese company trying to buy our stuff. They even try to go through a 3rd party company sometimes.
What an appropriate date to release this video on. June 4...
Here in 1989 absolutely nothing happened
Great videos by the way.
Damn…another great video. Thank you!
I would love to translate/dub what you're doing to the Arabic language.
There are so many people in the (Middle East & North Africa) has this idea about China 🇨🇳 like its the next big thing, and translating these videos to Arabic will help shed the truth about the misinformation people have about the CCP.. I think people need to know the truth.
Thank you so much for your work and dedication 🙏 we'll keep sharing your links.
They blamed covid on Italy💀

Thank you 🙏 You are awesome .
great presentation , go ahead, thank you
I WENT INTO MY BACKYARD TODAY AND FOUND A CHINESE FISHING BOAT IN MY POOL !
Great video. Thank you for calling out the part about the overfishing. That is doing damage, so much damage to everything.
Lived in China during the early COVID days. I remember my supervisor in November 2019 telling me to be careful because there was a "flu going around". I remember how everyone was still allowed to travel abroad until after it started spreading in foreign countries and then completely doing a 180 and freaking out (around January 2020). I remember the unequally controlled areas of the city I was and their sometimes weird means of control!
An excellent report!
Keep up the good work, your videos are always well presented well informed and cut straight to the chase and like I’ve said to you before Winston I know you love the Chinese people good on you for telling it as it is 🇦🇺❤️🇨🇳
that segment at 8:20 about a woman being chained and kept away like a Dog made me want to cry..so messed up.
Watch the other video he made on it
That kind of story makes the rounds several times a year. It's routine. Like students jumping to their deaths because of too much homework/stress. The worst story I can recall was the baby who was run over by two cars while a number of people passed by on the street without helping. Nearly 20 iirc. Granted, not all of them saw the child, but a good number sure did. Scooters and cars swerved around the body of the little girl who was still alive at the time. Many pedestrians saw the child bleeding from the mouth and heard her crying...yet did nothing. I think that story was from about a decade ago and I still cannot wrap my brain around it.
Great show.
Thank you Winston.
The CCP brings nightmares to many people
The CCP political system is to blame. The system structure has to break down.
Thanks for your videos. You are contributing to spread the truth and this is the greatest thing, the greatest contribution one can give society, no matter the size of the audience, but, we are glad you have a big one. I wouldn't be surprised if people who are supposed to expose bad things don't do that when it comes to China are blackmailed by them or paid by them. Cheers from Brazil.
This was helpful
Oh, we need more of you !
So your saying that plastic waste ISNT all America's fault, pollution as well?!?!?
It seems like alot of media organizations like to blame America for all of the world's problems and I'm glad your shedding light on the truth.
The world don’t bat an eye on china
You're not wrong
But being fair
Which nations are more likely to act lol
@@ironspaghett That is the unfortunate truth
Every country on earth pollutes and needs to be better.
Guess who pays and orders those media organizations to not point the finger at the real problem
