Thanks so much! Glad the overview brought back some great memories. There really are so many iconic cars from that era that would be a dream to own. If you could choose just one from the list, which would you want in your garage today?
The 1962 Pontiac 421 Super duty engine was not an aluminum engine. There were aluminum parts on the car, the hood ,fenders, and bumpers, but the engine is cast iron.
Not exactly fact my child in stock and limited production for specifics of racing making 500 minimum required to race the big 3 in the hot international racing of small block, big block and such of the era of mustang, Camaro, barracuda..... History.
This moderator is irritating to listen to. He announces the name of the next car in detail, then immediately says it all again. The second time should a shortened familiar name, not the whole thing. It is pronounced "Trans Am' NOT "Trans A M".
Absolutely! The '93 Mustang SVT Cobra R is a legendary beast! 🐍💨 It’s amazing how it combines power and performance, and its iconic design is still turning heads today. The limited production and racing pedigree really set it apart from other muscle cars of its time. Do you have a favorite feature or memory associated with the Cobra R? Thanks for sharing your excitement!
Alex, this car is way cool and special, and probably quite rare. All of it's special features qualify it as very unique and desirable to some. I'm mostly Ford but this one from GM is a cool surprise that raised the bar. But GM didn't continue to refine and survive, like the ones that did, especially brands from Germany and Japan. If those companies were able to build better products with more substance and reliability, why couldn't our home based big three do it? Imagine this car with its bugs fixed and car refined to be a true player with the ones offshore. It's an American tragedy. Thanks for showing us this.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment! You’re right-this car is a standout, and it’s a bit of a 'what if' when you think about how GM could have evolved it to compete with brands like Germany and Japan. It’s bittersweet to see the potential these American classics had, but still great to celebrate what they represented. Glad you enjoyed the spotlight on this GM gem!
That's awesome! The Ford Thunderbolt is such a legendary piece of automotive history. It’s fascinating how it was designed specifically for drag racing and pushed the limits of performance in its time. Reading about it as a child must have sparked your passion for cars! What stood out to you most about the Thunderbolt? Thanks for sharing your memories!
Thanks for your input! Both cars are such iconic symbols of muscle car history, and it’s amazing how they were designed for NASCAR dominance. Do you have a favorite between the two? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
You obviously have very limited experience or driving of every one of these 50 classics and owning 39 of them in street stock versions and racing 11 of them. Now at 77 years young being of the era expect the limited experience explains your ignorance after the 1960s .these ignorant negative replies demonstrate. Feel sorry you are such sorry excuses for credibility of your replies in the 2025 GTO AND THIS MEMORABILITY VIDEOS. YOU DIDN'T LIVE THE 1960S AS US EARLY BOOMERS Lived, LOVED,LEARNED AND DROVE. Wrong photos of the engine even wrong manufacturer when speaking about a specific engine. Very confusing
