It is a very nice glider and will thermal well! I wonder if you could pre-laminate some carbon (or fibreglass) onto a thin balsa sheet before making the fuse to gain little more strength without weight?
Thank you Phil! I think that the post-reinforcement allows a simpler construction when cutting the balsa, but maybe I will do a test, as you write. This balsa pod is quite suitable for me, but I varnished it after making it, and then coated the lower parts with fiberglass material, but not the upper parts. Then I reinforced the area of the wing-capturing cross plates with 2 pieces of vertical carbon tape, so that it would hold the side plates together enough for each take-off. I like that the servos are freely removable and can then be reused in another fuselage or even replaced due to the screw mountability. Also because of the relatively simple wing attachment.

@@goldenfish77 if you make your own laminated sheet before cutting and gluing the parts you might need less reinforcement!
