By watching your videos I can see you really have a passion for primitive skills and primitive fire making, I'm just a beginner and not as skilled as you but I love the idea of minimalist primitive kit. Being able to spend longer trips with just a small rucksack and a bedroll over your shoulder really is a skill that no longer is commonplace, and it makes you really have to get in touch with the woods and nature, instead of relying on the kit to keep you fed and sheltered. I would love to join you on the primitive trip, but America is quite a ways from the UK. You and Brian gained subscriptions from me long ago... thanks always for the new ideas and videos, and when I see WanderingTheWild has a new upload, I'll be the first one to watch it. Thanks again.

That shelter looks pukka so cant wait to see you doing camp outs in that later in the year. As for your primitive skills shindig with Jack, etc I think that'll be awesome as it'll really test your skills out ...its that time of year where your legs have come out! :)) ~Peace~

A good effort lads - hope you don't mind one observation - the poles that stick out above the central part of the structure are likely to channel rain water downwards and into the shelter.
Two potential fixes are either to cut them down before adding debris or to place sufficient debris on top that they are all beneath the mound of leaves.
Otherwise solid work and hope you get to enjoy it on future outings :)

Cheers bro! Didn't end up filming the whole project as you can tell with the abrupt end, the poles were cut off after the build was finished. Not sleeping in it at the moment so we've not done sufficient water proofing yet but it will happen. Thanks for watchin!

Good little shelter Bill .You should have done a winter camp one nighter in it .It was quite mild w/e just gone and those leafs looked quite dry down your way
