No, the back of the pants is all crooked. The belt line is now V-shaped. There are wrinkles on your cheeks. The bottom seam of the belt loop should be seamed under the belt piece of fabric, and the top seam of belt loop should be seamed from the inside.
Yes, that is because that back seam of the waistband and seat should have been opened and properly taken in. The belt loop would be removed and refit. This was lazy and poor workmanship!!!

I bought some jogging pants (polyester/cotton mixed material) from a Gucci store last week. The waist is too big and the length is too long. The store manager said they can alter the pants for me for free. Should I trust them to do it? I’m worried the altering will damage the pants and make them not look original anymore. I don’t people to be able to tell that they’ve been altered either.
Doesn’t matter what other people think. Let go of that mentality bro. Besides, it’s being altered at the official store so it’s as genuine of an alteration as you can get. Go for it! 👍🏼
Your videos are very well explained. But how do you take in women's trousers that are ok on the waist but are way too big on hips and thighs? They have side pockets. Do I have to sacrifice the pockets entirely?
I bought 3 suits prior to my career starting. Because of the career’s very active and I been working out more. My pants was 38 and I am now a 30. And I ended up buying more pants but those 3 pants of 38 were my favorite. Will that be able to alter 8 inches?
That seems a bit much. A 38 to 30 would give you 8 inches of material bunched up on top of each other in the back. You will also need to take in the thigh and leg areas or else you will have a fitted waist and awkwardly huge pants. This is going to cost you quite a lot of money, so unless those costed several hundred dollars a pair, I wouldn’t bother.
Nice! I'm going to tackle making my size 38 work pants into size 36. There is no seem on the waistband so I'm guessing I will cut it nice and straight with scissors and make a seem?

Hi. I got pants which are big for me. They are 32 inches and I want them to be 28. All the tailors I have gone to refused to fix it for me coz it's not possible to alter 4 inches. So can you please suggest if this trick will work or is there anything else that can be done? It would mean a lot.
Hi, I just found out your channel and subscribed 😊 Can I ask a favor, kindly do on how to remove the pleats in men's trouser. This will help me a lot for I'm not good in altering. Thank you very much in advance.
My gut feeling is taking in a larger pair of trousers by one size is easier and less risky. But I just bought a bunch of vintage tailor made trousers from a thrift shop all apparently made by the same tailor yet with different wait sizes. One pair was much too small for me but they were cheap so I bought them anyway. I just expanded them to the *maximum* that the seam allowance would allow, and that worked. They are snug, but they fit. I feared a big change would throw off the lay of the trouser but they seem fine. I wondered if the old crease or stitch line would show on the expanded seat, but they all steamed out and you can't see them. This was a thick high quality Marzotto wool fabric. Other fabrics might vary. I had a different vintage pair, also bought cheap, and I slimmed them once but did not want to go down too many sizes... but it wasn't enough so I slimmed them again. I should have gone in tight in the first place. I thought it would be too slim and throw off the lay across the seat but it worked fine. I had the most trouble with the belt loops as the fabric was thick. I first machine sewed them but the stitch didn't hold and when I put on my belt the top of the loop popped off (admittedly that was my first ever trouser alteration). When I re-did those trousers, using the sewing machine I hand cranked all the stitches to get the loop back on. I had also tried hand stitching but that was way too hard.
i have a problem. mine perfectly fits on my waist, legs and thighs, but when i take a sit, there's always this baggy air in the stomach area ;-; what should i do lmao
