Minimalist Safety Boot - Keen Vista Energy+ Shift ESD/ Caterpillar Brode Steel Toe Work Shoe

On my continued journey to find a minimalist safety boot aka steel toe, aluminum toe or carbon fiber, I came across the Caterpillar Brode Steel Toe Work Shoe. I can honestly say this is a great work boot but it is not waterproof. Not great for someone who works outdoors. I then came across Keen Vista Energy+ Shift ESD Carbon Fiber Toe. It is a slip-on laceless design and it is waterproof. It doesn't have zero- drop and shallow midsole but it has a wide toe box and it is pretty flexible in comparison to a traditional steel toe work boot. I'm trying it out for the next 30 days. I'll give my honest feedback on the Keen Vista Energy+ Shift ESD Carbon Fiber Toe.

Hey man thanks for the review. I’m in the same market of work shoes and was looking for a comp toe with zero drop. I’ve been inquiring to Xero About it. And they said it’s high up on their to do list. What kind of inserts did you end up going with in the Keen vista slip ons? I just ordered the same pair a few days ago. Thanks!

Hey, most appreciate the recommendations. The brand Belleville makes a cool looking one but like you said they’re not safety toe. These so far have been doing the job. These and the Cat Brode sneaker boot.
