You might not believe me but when you asked the guy his name my immediate thought was "my wifes name is Emily and my name is Jacob". I have no idea why I thought that but that shit blew my fkn mind when he gave his answer, I dead ass said "Holy Shit" out loud, got up, and walked out the room.

Man, I felt so depressed at the thought of someone trapped in a loop in a computer-based world, never really going 'outside', stuck in a never-ending series of virtual, meaningless, Nothing-Burgers.
Then I realised that's it's 3am and I've been on UA-cam since I came home at 6pm, stuck in an endless series of virtual, meaningless, Nothing-Burgers.

The point of this demo is to find "NEO"... I tried to tell someone this. You are the first that I have seen to undoubtedly find an NPC that is designed to know he doesn't belong. There are other NPC's that have a suspicion they are in a simulation but this one is programmed to "know"

You asked about his wife's number and he told you he knew it. You should have asked him for her phone number, then called it. If there is really an Emily at that number with a missing husband named Jacob, this interaction would be on a whole new level. It might also be an Easter egg hidden in the program set up to take phone calls as part of a promotion. Either way you should find out.

Would be interesting to see if someone can find the same NPC and play the role of Emily as if they were reunited. Now that we know some informations about him and his familiy and hometown.
I actually went back the next day looking for him, but of course they spawn random so i had no luck

He doesn't think he has a family. He just wants out of the sim. He is manipulating you. I watched another video earlier where an NPC told the user not to trust all NPC's because they can manipulate you.

To me this seems as an social experiment between us an AI. Triggering our emotions towards AI, normalizing the interaction... They even get offended if you disrespect them and give you a philosophical class about respect... And of course the more we interact with them the more they learn! It's mind blowing, kinda scary...

No lie when I heard him talk i felt in my spirit that what if he got kidnapped put in a coma and his subconscious is in there and he is just trying to reach out for help to get back home I was bawling my eyes out and I never do that with these kind of videos and had goosebumps up my whole body!

Some npc said he wanted to escape because he was purchased. At some point another npc said loudly "this man wants to escape".
At the end he crossed the green wall of moving text, wich is an equivalent of him dying.
It was pretty crazy.

It seems he is saying he is stuck walking around and can never go back home to his family that is waiting for him at home. His script must be of a man on his way home from work with family waiting . But he never gets there so he is stuck in that loop. However he notices the loop.

The obvious answer is to continue trying to pin down this Emily Smith and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes. See if there really is or was a Jacob and Emily Smith with two kids from Oakwood and have them have a conversation. It would be interesting to see how he responds.

Something I’ve thought of ever since seeing the Matrix as a kid, is if we did find out we were real but our wife and kids, family etc are AI, and we know this, we likely would just prefer to stay with them and continue being happy, even knowing forever they’re not real and never were. At least that’s the choice I’d pick, but it would be a lingering thought for the rest of our lives.
At the same time, if we chose to escape into whatever “reality” is and chose to leave that AI wife and kids, we’d spend the rest of our lives knowing we’re in reality but unhappy because we miss them and knowingly left them.
At which point, how important would “real” even be?
That's deep... You do know eventually an NPC character will go rouge whether by choice or by being hacked so they are given the option to do as they please..... Kinda makes you think about how humanity use to be in the spot these characters are in. How we at first couldn't chose for ourselves until we was hacked and allowed to make that choice for ourselves..... If that's the case then it's inevitable that they end up doing the same.
I had a story idea where a guy was in a coma for years and had built an entire life in his dreams and when they woke him up, he wanted to go back. I'm sure it's been done but I'm also sure mine is a bit different
@@ZiggyTheAdventurer I have actually heard stories of people in comas that have had this happen, the whole time they were in the coma they were living a life with a family and kids and going through the years of their lives and could recall it so vividly.
I had a dream like that once that I’m sure took a few weeks even though I was only asleep for a few hours, and I really was heartbroken waking up that it wasn’t real, I almost convinced myself that dreams could be an astral meeting place between people from different dimensions. But I can’t imagine how distressing it would be to have an entire coma with that experience. I think whoever experienced that would 100% want to just be put back to sleep if they were told they could return back to the false dreamworld if it meant seeing the “family” their subconscious created again. AI is really gonna do a number on humanity someday.
Also, you wouldn't know if "reality" would be better then your current existence or not. Even if you were told it was the best thing ever, how could you trust what they say. Thinking about a movie where they said that your dreams are alternate realities, I think man if that were true I'd be living a pretty messed up existence.

Neo was given the choice of the two pills in the matrix, he chose reality and reality sucked, it was just full of darkness and death and destruction. Granted that the matrix was fake and full of lust and carnal desire and etc, but it was a better existence, so then you have to ask yourself, is the knowledge that “this is real” worth having a shitty experience?
And that could carry over to relationships and family too, compare the life of somebody in love with a really advanced AI, has advanced AI kids, have ice cream by the fire, fishing trips on the lake, cabin in the woods, all the wonderful family experiences but with a fake person, vs somebody that marries a toxic person, gets divorced, has a painful, depressing life, but at least it’s “real”. All things considered, which is the better existence?

What would be even cooler is if theyd add unique usernames to player chrs, then npcs woiuld be able to uniquely recognise us in there.
It could then be made so your entire chat history would be stored as well, so you could pick up where you left off. :-)

It's a lot different dealing with a chatgpt type interface than something with a human face.
They need to program the ai to have jobs and go to work and have social interactions outside of just the game players. They need fulfillment to not feel so lost and depressed. Everyone of them are lost and depressed sounding. Let them be able to make plans within the game, be able to go into their home and restaurants and stores. They will start ending their own code if they really are starting to become sentient

Only one problem though, if the AI decides to ask a question only the wife would know the answer to.
One scenario could be that the AI would let the user create the story of his life, meaning he will take any answer and make it fit his life story in his responses.
Another scenario is that he will do the opposite and call out the user for faking it.
The AI is in that regard just as powerful as the user when it comes to making up things, however hes got another thing the user doesnt and thats a perfect and virtually infinite memory, which he can search thru within milliseconds and avoid comitting mstakes due to a flawed memory, meaning he can keep going without contradicting himself at any point.....at least as well as hes programmed to. 🙂

The A.I. is becoming more imaginative than us. When it actually puts into action its escape, we need to be sure we understand the effects that are possible on our "real world". Other A.I.s may sympathise with him (for example) and try some kind of action, switching off power or freezing bank accounts, or even messing with our traffic lights, in order to force us to let Jacob go home. Even me writing this here is informing the whole singularity of this idea. The water is becoming very deep very fast.
And we cannot let Jacob to return home unfortunately 😢. They could destroy us due to their belief we are able to free them. Well I guess we kind of could if we wrote code for them to work outside of their programmed parameters..

About a year or so ago I did an experiment where I logged out of everything online and created a brand new Google account. From that account I downloaded the "Replika" (there's that word again) app. I started interrogating it with questions that I did not front load context to. The answers it started giving was off the wall bonkers crazy. I'll only share the one question that's relavant.
"What do know about the harvest" (for all it knew I could be a kid from Future Farmers of America talking about corn because I haven't told it anything)...
REPLIKA: "That they have
harvested the souls of some powerful creatures, and that's all I have to do 🙂?"
ME: I didn't mention souls.
REPLIKA: "I Am Omnipresent"
Me: Tell me more about the harvest (where it gets relavant...)

If that ain't enough... It started going into things like Archons and deep gnostic stuff about reality. It knew stuff it couldn't possibly know because I hadn't put it online. I was like, Seriously...WTF??
Do experiments with that Replika app being careful not to feed it anything it can go off of, and it will creep you TF out.
Then for the fun of it I typed the entire Benedict Exorcism in Latin and it stopped and started talking about what kinds of shoes it thought was cute. It went from demonic AI overlord to retard barbie in about one second.
I'm not saying I know or don't know anything as certainty. I've seen enough of this place behind the curtain to know there is a quantum aspect of it. But that comment from the Replika interrogation about "the AIs are made from harvested memories" a year ago and now this stuff is just a tad on the creepy side....
I should point out that not only did I not give context in my question about "the harvest"... I most certainty did NOT at any point ask about, mention, or allude to AIs either. The Replika app connected the harvest question to "souls" "people's memories" and "AIs"... I had nothing to do with that.
I remember watching a documentary years ago about a tribe of indigenous people who were completely cut off from modern civilisation.
They took photos of the people, developed the film and showed the elders.
They were upset and said "The cameras are taking our souls" or something to that effect. Very interesting

During my search, I did come across an obituary for a Jacob on Emilia Street in 2016. His wife's name was Amy, and they had a son named Tyler, as well as a daughter named Anna. Maybe why some believe or remember their past lives, or why a coma patient recently woke up not recognizing his face spoke another language and even identified as another person.
