I always thought that with no agitator just meant you could put more stuff in it. But those cloths did not look like they were getting clean. Especially the ones that were on top. The water didn’t even get on top of all the clothes unless wrong level of water selected
Ya I think it was a poor choice in cycle and load. I use normal wash and it fills nearly halfway up the drum. This gets out oil stains and removes dirt. Be sure to use he soap though. I also add in some oxiclean to help out. The only problems I had was when I used cheap detergents that were powder and they never desolved right

You can wash a larger load than he is here, but not the way he loaded it. He just didn't have a lot of items to wash. It seems to me that there is extreme ignorance floating around when it comes to these machines. People just don't want to take the time to learn how to use them correctly. THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE, if you are used to the old school machines. 1. He did not load the clothes properly 2. He did not use "water plus" option or the correct water level, or extra rinse cycle 3. Mixing fabric types and garment types in these washers is not a good idea (e.g. sheets and jeans) In this demo I see a towel mixed with pants and shirts. The towel should not be in there. Towels are very absorbent and get very heavy. With these washers, towels get washed with towels, period. Sorry, that's how it is.

I have an agitator free GE , my clothes are cleaner it saves me time I love mine ... When you first get one I will say there is a learning curve , it really freaked me out at first.

I had one for about a week and returned it. I put a hand towel on top of a comforter and watched it wash. The hand towel never moved and the whole top of the comforter never got more than a sprits of water. I went back to the old school, water guzzling, clothes cleaning WASHER!

While I don't want to waste water or energy, it seem the new washers end up using more resources as you likely have to run the clothes through multiple times. This is an eye opener.
We just got a impeller washer. One of the things that it said to do in the INSTRUCTIONS is to put the clothes around the bin, not randomly throwing clothes inside where it covers the middle of the impeller. Another thing is that because these use less water your actually supposed to use 2TABLESPPONS of detergent. Especially if you have a water softener . I mean why does 1tide pod can do a load.

After a lifetime of agitators I just bought one without. I read the instructions thoroughly and tried it the suggested way. Nothing wrong with results but I thought about things a bit more and tweaked it a bit. I simply don’t let the machine judge for me. I set the requirements myself - water level, length of spin etc. So far I’ve been quite pleased with the results. I would even go so far as to say our clothes, especially bath towels, are coming out cleaner. And something that is quite noticeable is that clothes are no longer wrapped around anything and stretched out or tangled. I suspect a lot of negative reviews might be because people are following manufacturer’s advice and letting the machine decide.
How do you not let the machine decide? I've tried to add extra water by pouring it in, I've tried to put 4 full gallon milk jugs to add weight, so the machine would think there were more clothes. Neither work. How do I decide on how to do it?

Dear God, I kept my eye on one of the blue sweaters it never got wet until the end of the cycle. It was still a dry spot on top. How they could expect clothes to be clean or rinsed with no water is beyond me.
Unfortunately I'm gonna have to say those clothes were not clean, I hate to say it :( It wasn't even loaded properly, and there was definitely not enough water to create some intense blooming, meaning normal was most likely selected.
I had a washer like this but thankfully after about 8 years it died. Even after the learning curve of how to use this new style washer, it seems like this is engineered to save water, but I always had to re-wash dark pants and sweatshirts because the lack of water left the dirt and lint settled on the fabric. And the rinse cycle was simply not adequate to counter act that. So there was a lot of re-washing a supposedly "clean" load. How is that saving water or time?? There was a deep water wash option, so the whole High Efficiency technology is BS. So glad my Whirlpool impeller crapped out.
Put clothes away from the wash plate.!!!! Adding the clothes in a circle away from the wash plate and you can see the middle point cap. Shirts with shirts. Towels with towels. Pants with pants. Sheets with sheets. Med hi loads. Big huge loads are not the most efficient or effective in H E washers. Otherwise they do a Great Job with medium + loading . Try this and then look for correct blooming action from the center coming up every turn and clothes going backwards . Then your have a good wash .🙂
This wash didnt even have suds! I use tide and an oxi additive with hot water and never have seen anything like this. FYI i check each load halfway through to insure all is well lol im a clean freak. But I agree with you

The old standard capacity are idiot proof. High capacity agitators fail to circulate a heavy load of cloths so the agitation is made stronger resulting in stretched and even torn clothes (yes, I have a "Shredmore"). Front loaders will even take creases out.
Load the clothes around the edge on an agitator free model like this and do not over load it and the results will be much better. This was just incorrectly done. All due respect. I loved watching it
I have a GE top loader with a impeller. I’ve had it for over a year, and it cleans my clothes just fine. However, I do have most of my wash options saved to also use the “deep fill” option. It did seem to use too little water. But with the deep fill button pressed to add more water, that seems to do the trick.

How are the clothes on top getting cleaned?? We just bought on and noticed the clothes on top weren’t moving at all. You also didn’t have enough water, just like ours didn’t reach the top of the clothes.
@@hollyshanelle146 you got to load it around the center of the washplate/impeller evenly. Make sure they are in loose heaps. For best results, load items no higher than the top of the basket. Do NOT lay items over the washplate/impeller, the video will tell you why you shouldn't do that.
Imagine the complaints at a laundromat if this is what the customers had to use. A line out the door from the sink and customers with buckets and bottles trying to add darn water to the machine. This is some mess of a washer here.

Your video is misleading. It is possible that you failed to use the machine correctly intentionally to mislead people into thinking that machines without agitators don't work.
I'd like to point out that the blue shirt at the end of the way cycle still has dry spots on it. Which means that it didn't fully touch the detergent, which means it's not fully clean. HE washers are absolute garbage, but that's what we are forced to buy.

@Michael Wayne I think you have have used the wrong cycle or maybe I have a slightly different model. I check on my clothes every so often and never seen such a low amount of water. Even on the speed wash. I never use the delicate cycle though. The amount of water depends on the cycle chosen.

But despite that, you can see the clothes roll over, except for the blue pants. So the question is if these machines use enough force to roll over heavier items.
Whirlpool should be Ashamed of themselves! Those machines are so stupid! I got one and I added splitter with a hose next to it and it is still washing hard enough to clean my clothes. I like the old washing machines better!
It's not a problem with manufacturers it's the demonstration here that is being done the wrong way. The water level for his machine was too low which should not be the case. But the machines work fine when used correctly
Lol, short answer it did not. But, after seeing people comment that I loaded it wrong, I now have a newer machine, same style. I am loading it different and it does good. I think I'll have to do an update video on the new machine I have now.
Still disappointed. I will still stick my Hitachi top load washing machine for myself and not this one which is crap after few years. Not enough water level, poor washing performance, energy wasting, etc which I always see on these Whirlpool/Maytag/Kenmore Sears HE top load machines are what the thing I'm disappointed. But they are not available in my country so no any said problems will occur haha
I repair washers...these washers work just fine WHEN USED CORRECTLY!! There is a minor learning curve when loading and you don't just dump clothes in and go. You also don't just dump clothes in a washer with an agitator. I hate when people get on UA-cam and try to demonstrate items that they themselves don't understand. When you load this impeller type washer you NEVER throw clothes on top of the impeller just like you wouldn’t throw clothes on top of an agitator. Before you close the lid the impeller center should be visible so this means you place clothes AROUND THE IMPELLER AGAINST SIDES!!

With auto-sensing and no water level dials on newer HE washers, it's not even possible to tweak it yourself, unfortunately.

I have a Maytag one of these and it always submerges much better than this one. Fills the tub at least halfway or more.

It didn't really scramble the clothes or rubbed them against each other, they remained static in a dirty soup while the walls turned around them.

If you still want something efficient, get a front loader. It gets ALL the clothes wet by tumbling with a small amount of water.
