I am the CEO and creator of Passion Planner and I stumbled on this video today while perusing UA-cam! It really made my morning! There were so many times you made me giggle with your remarks and comments. "Not to do list: Freak out too much about this PANDEMIC" lol! I truly loved your honesty and your willingness to show that sometimes you don't use a week, I created the product and I do that too! I am so happy you took it and made it work for you, I always tell people using a planner is a gift you give yourself, so there is no "right or wrong" way to use it! As long as it works with your brain to help organize your thoughts in one consistent place, you're doing the thannng! Hope you have a great rest of 2020, and an even better 2021!
Dear Angel, I am glad to see you post stating you are the CEO. I just want to inform you that I had a very difficult time with a download and receive poor customer service. I would be more than happy to discuss this privately.
Thanks Angel! I love seeing the different ways people in this #PashFam community personalize their planners, it's so inspiring! I appreciate how you made it minimal enough so anyone can switch it up if they want to. Can't wait to start my next Passion Planner in the new year 🎉
You created an amazing planner, I got my husband the new coiled version while I still prefer the softbound version :) Thank you for a very productive 2020!
I ordered my passion planner 4 weeks ago, I was hoping it would arrive before Christmas. Super disappointing that my planner won't arrive before the new year. My credit card was charged and no one is responding to e-mails or phones. Who needs a planner to arrive mid-January? (If it arrives.)Switching to competition.
Watching your channel is very inspiring and calming. I was never very organized because I didn't have that many things to do, all my calendar planners were mostly empty. Things changed during lockdown, I found myself lacking energy to do anything. But I started watching your channel and felt very inspired. First of all, I organized things in my room, so now everything has its place. And I got a new planner, a rather basic one, but I fill it in regularly and now I feel the need to get things done, it's a really nice feeling to set goals for myself and then go to sleep knowing I did all tasks. So thank you for being a great inspiration, especially in those difficult times
Different fun things to put on the sidebar: Maybe a list of TV shows to watch, books to read, albums to listen to, podcasts to check out. Or a mixture of books/media you'd like to check out works well too.
I like this idea, I do it on a more "do if you remember" kind of style on my planner. I just mark down on the weekend (as I don't make plans for it usually) "Things to check out" -topic title and then just write down things to google or check up on. Not an every week thing, but I've found nice little gifts for friends by checking out like that. I also keep a "wish or want?" -list in the same way on one of the early daily pages of the year. (mine has all three)
That's what I do too! (Although more as a reflection at the end of the month rather than a plan). These three boxes are perfect spaces for me to write what I read, watched and listened to that month. I just covered the headers with black marker and wrote my own instead.
It's sooooo refreshing to see someone having a planner that's not "I can write in 50 different fonts and looks like it was printed". With mistakes and everything else that's human! Thanks for this video 😊🌻
@@spectacularbear Sort of. I live in Texas. After losing my notes, I put it in the freezer and it came back -- spotchy and lighter in ink. And stopped afterward because I didn't like the way it looked.
I used a frixion pen to mark lines on a piece of fabric I painted, that were to be removed with heat (iron) after I stitched on the lines. I forgot and ironed the piece to set the paint before I stitched the lines. Of course the lines completely disappeared. That was a real brain raspberry moment. Anyway I threw the piece of fabric in the freezer and after a couple of hours the lines had returned enough to see them so I didn't have to redraw all the lines, but they were only just visible enough to use. Much lighter than the original lines. So I can see the ink fading in hot temperatures would be problematic. Where I live, it pretty much NEVER gets hot enough to fade frixion ink! BTW I love those pens. I would hate to have to live without them.
Thank you for sharing your process. It was so reassuring to see someone else had empty days, even pages in her planner! (I ended up turning mine into more of an art/Bible journal-which was good too) For fill-in ideas I write down: funny or meaningful things people say to me in convos, a one-word adjective for the day/week/month, weather reflections, notes to self betterment, a vocabulary word + definition/synonyms I heard but don’t know, or even a small sketch of what’s right in front of me (and I’m not an artist). I also sometimes make up a headline for current events. Here’s to a more productive and social 2021! 🥳 PS I also prefer Monday-Sunday layout ❤️
Indeed it was. And also to accept that some days just will be empty. I've seen a lot of people disheartened that they didn't 100% fill in a week, while I'm just glad if I jot down a thought from the past week and maybe an appointment in the next 3 months. :D I feel like many new planner people, with no system, were dropped on thin ice this year when there were suddenly no appointments to make for every hour of the day.
I tried the sort of "do your own thing" planner for the first time this year. Some stuff was pre-done, for 6 months. And it took me till October to realize I didnt' need to use the same old ugly flowers every month. So for October I drew a whole graveyard instead and little pumpkin and ghosts other spots on the overview page, and a big pumpkin on the calendar page. BUt with the chaos of November and the election, I didn't do November at all. It was a learn as I went thing certainly. I think I want rubber stamps for days of the week, small calendar boxes. I should probably do a page for November, maybe a scared turkey at a ballot box It was more like a pandemic year, a year to reflect inwards. zero productivity. I couldn't figure out how to use the habit trackers. I made my own quotes. I did draw a picture of Toilet paper too though. LOL
This is giving me great motivation to start a planner! I've just shifted back home and need to focus on making the next step in my career, so this will be just the right way to keep track. Thank you so much for the video!
I had same experience, 2020 with my first passion planner and then all pandemic happen. But i feel it helped me to had a better mental health, because every moment i had something to do!
Hi! I love that your darling pup is accompanying us for the intro! I have used passion planners for a couple years. (Also the freedom mastery/law of attraction planner is similar) This year has been really hard, it was difficult to feel much happiness....I almost didn't order my planner for 2021, but I got the dated rose gold medium size one and am awaiting it's arrival and look forward to get started! It's fun to see how others use and decorate them. I think I will try your erasable ink pen idea this year! I'm going to try to stay focused on the things that make me happy this year. I wish happiness, health, freedom and wealth for all!
Oh, yeah, 2020 was not the year of the planner/bujo, hahahaha. There's a greater chance of 2021 being at least partially better for that, we just gotta hope science is on our side!
2020 started off great. Most were happy and ready to embrace the New Year. And then, March happened. I don't have that much going on in my life so it didn't really make a huge difference in my planner. I did make a quick note about some of it. In my city, it got real when they shut the Rodeo down before it even closed for the night. It was all downhill from there. When I look at flip-through vids, I can easily see how everyone was just fine until they were hit with the freight train of March that changed the world. I'm still in the one Happy Planner I got and altered in 2019 to stretch through 2020. Ready with another Happy Planner for next year. After that, Passion Planner is def on my list of considerations to try.
Personally I prefer the undated so I can have my months all together in the front. But it is a pain to date it! I got the snake for 2021 because I need a total change. Even though I have been using a grey academic for this school year. During the pandemic I've found it is helpful to list two home chores for each weekday, so I keep my home+work environment nice and today, and also don't get sucked into any huge home improvement projects on a weekday. I do small checklists in each daily column when I do not have any scheduled appointments. Color coding is super helpful to me. And although I never thought I would be that person, I've found that decorating with washi and some stickers is calming. Good luck and thanks for the video.
Impress with the highlighter really like it! Planner wise I have so much happy planner stuff that I promise my self no more planners until I’m finish with the ones I already have!! But it always very helpful to see reviews cause we never know
Used weekly Day Timers until I retired. Many folks used digital for appts but I always liked to see my appts. For things to do I just simply had a running list on yellow notepad - some how it made me feel good to mark through each item as I progressed! Guess I was just a more tactile person. When working never had time for all the other note taking - jotting down thoughts and all that - just had no time for that. Would keep a notepad next to my bed at night if some idea came to me - that was helpful!
This was really lovely to see! And I like the idea of reflecting month to month on what you've achieved and what you'd like to happen next, this year has been so insanely chaotic that taking time to sit down and think (even though there are days where I've felt that's the only thing i have to do) is so helpful! thank you lemon lady!
I use the Happy Planner as you can move pages around and add your own pages, plus they have a great system that uses planner stickers etc. I used to use a Filofax but its not as fun as this.
i have slowly given up on my 2020 bujo, it's become simplified to a small calendar with a notes section, a monthly expense tracker, and a habit tracker (all done with an incredibly minimalist format) instead, i've [optimistically] been working on pretty themes for my 2021 bujo! { thank you for reading my comment, have a nice day ♡ }
I was gifted a stunning passion planner and got the mustard yellow one! I was in love with how beautiful it was--but then covid hit and it make me too bummed. So now I just have this stunning yellow passion planner that I didn't utilize nearly enough, sigh.
I really like the Passion Planner. I had it all filled up for each month until March when I had to white out everything. It went from full to nothing! I relabel one of the side boxes Birthday's for the month. I have a large family and have at least 1 to 5 a month.
Never heard of passion planner before. I like the cover it looks like leather. I used to use DayTimers, not sure if they are still around. But They worked great for me, not much room for just doodling though. They may have additional booklets for that. I tracked appointments, money spent (from where it came: credit, cash, debit, etc and on What), what I ate, exercise, bits of diary type stuff, andd used a 2 pages per day spread with 24 hours covered, because there are more than 8-9 hours in a day. Post its are great, you can just move it to another spot. I put my To Do list on a separate page, and just checked them off and wrote the date IF I actually ever did it.
Hey Jennifer, would you please show how to make a slipcase for a book, or set of books. Would also like to see how to make a clamshell box for a book. Thanks!
I bought an 18 month Happy Planner in 2019, and poor thing sat so idle most of this year. I think I will move to a 12 month in the upcoming year, but still trying to decide if I want to stick with happy planner or move to passion planner. I must admit, I like stickers, but they can go onto anything.
I like to track my reading and have space to write a quick review, or notes for upcoming releases for authors I follow. With COVID, I ended up using my journal to track podcasts I was listening to because my podcast feed had so much content I would need a 30 hour day just get through it all! Listing helped narrow down my feed to just stuff that was interesting or funny and limit the doom and gloom news. PS. Loved seeing your pupper in the background!
I’d like to hear your thoughts about planner vs bullet journalling :) What are the pros and cons of the two? And which one works better for you in which aspect Thanks :) 💕
Waiting for this! A very nice coincidence, I'm eating Passionfruit right now! 😂😂 EDIT: This video was really really good! Now I'm tempted to buy one of the passion planners. Is it weird that I kept on rewinding that part where you were showing the website? BTW I'm in ♥ with your hair! You've been a ray of sunshine in this awful pandemic Jennifer. I look forward to more videos of yours. Lots of love from a proud SeaSub to you and your family!
Careful with Frixion pens in the cold. I left my journal in my car during the winter, and all the erased writing came back, mixing with what I wrote over it and making an illegible mess on the page.
Thank you Jennifer for such a brilliant review, I stumbled across your video and had never heard of the Passion planner before, this has been my first year of bullet journaling and all though I'm enjoying the artistic side of making artistic spreads I'm finding it difficult to use it functionally. This planner looks like something that os definitely easy to understand and use, I'm going to think now whether I should buy another bullet journal and set up from scratch or go for the passion planner, either way thank you so much for doing this video I may just consider the passion planner. 😊😘☺️
This year I'm still using a bullet journal. I downloaded some Passion's Planner pages from the website and I put them in my discbound notebook for organize my home office. But definitely, I don't know what system I'm gonna choose for 2021. But I love your video, I"d love to see you organize your week or your month, have you tried to put some stickers? Just a suggestion 🙂 Hugs and see you next vídeo 😘😘😘
I appreciate your assessment of this planner, Jennifer! I like my week to start with Monday, but my monthly view to start with Sunday. Sooo . . . that puts a crimp in things, last I checked. I think if I wanted to change the theme of those monthly boxes, I'd use thin washi and write over it with a Sharpie.
Hello Sea Lemon... Could you please make a faux leather tn . Im excited to see what you do with this project. Im making one too using a few leather tools I ordered from Ali Express. The ones I made are good too.
Yep I just changed my Muji B6 planner from horizontal to vertical layout, and it's veery veeeeery empty. I could have written a bit of what I did at home, but the lazyness took over... Now the only Muji store closed up, I think I will design my own planner this time! And probably switch to an A6 format....not too much to plan even for the next year I think 🤷🏻♀️
The difference with paper color is completely normal. They're probably are the same paper, but from different batch. My workplace would sometimes see this difference and it always drive me crazy cause I would see a segment of cool tone paper wedge in between of the warmth ones 😂
Loved watching this! Although I still haven't found "the one" planner for me, my favorite is still at *PersonalPlanner.com* because it is the most customizable one. They upgrade with new choices every year though, the paper quality is awesome and the cover is customizable, choosing between premade ones, or upload your own. Includes a movable ruler (like it would be in your disc bound one), I use multible ones as book marks - also some stickers (you can buy a lot of extra stickers, too) etc. AND you can add personal dates, like birthdays (it calculates age if you want, too), which is discretely, smoothly printed at the dates, like any other important holiday. You can also choose what end pages you want: from blank/lined/dot grid pages, lists and "bullet journal"-inspired fun things (trackers and stuff). AND they have made a "Mixbook" now, which is essentially filled with the "end pages" from the calendar (because the end pages were too popular lol). Could be made as a half-pre-filled bullet journal, or as a notebook that complements the planner. In both cases, you can choose from 2 pages (one spread) and up. There are some "quality" issues* that irrititates me actually - I don't think "normal people" would even notice them, but other nerds like me probably would... They are localized outside my lil' home town in Sweden, it's a relatively small company, so it would be really cool to watch your thoughts or reviews though! (maybe they'll work on those things if a pro points them out ;) ) _(general issues I have, that pops up ATM: I think the content often has too small margins on the page, which makes it uncomfortable to write near the edges. The cover has one extra, thick (protective) plastic "sheet", which I consider to be a bit too small - it's the exact size as the paper which makes the paper stand out since it's spiral bound. This plastic "sheet" could have sharp corners too, so does the spiral. I have made a custom outside cover now though, which you can also buy, but still)_
cool review - i have used the passion planner before - loved it - may go back :) - and I cant believe you use the frixions in that heat! when my writing disappeared i stopped using them for important info :)
Love the blue planner so freaking much but went with a black one to add a bunch of stickers 😊 but yeah my 2020 passion planner also looks real empty in the middle there because I lost my job and all structure and motivation for like 5 months.
Thought this was an interesting video. And, it lead me to your video--DIY Daily Plan Page ✍️ Easy & Productive! from May 2019. I really thought your Plan Page was quite well-down and wanted to download the template. But all I get is a 404 error when I try the link. I thought it might have been deleted as out of date. If so, I can certainly create my own, but I also wondered i you might have updated it. So I thought I would ask if you had...
Did you try the link on mobile UA-cam app or on desktop computer? For some reason it isn't working from the YT app, but works if I copy the URL to a browser... Not sure why it's doing that, sorry!
I'm going to experiment with these pens in my Bujo. I'm from Canada and some of the amazon reviews say that the ink comes back in the cold. We shall see!
It's a real shame, because I see videos like this, which make me excited to get my own Passion Planner and get started, but the planner that I ordered a month ago hasn't even shipped yet, and it's impossible to get a response out of customer service. The company itself finally admitted last week that they were having issues even getting orders shipped (they say it's a problem with a third party shipping company, but if you look around, you see that people had really similar problems last year and the year before in terms of getting planners within a reasonable timeframe- last year, some people didn't get their stuff until March!), but they still can't/won't provide an estimate of when we might see our orders ship. It's extremely frustrating, and the way they're treating customers right now (extremely poor communication, telling people that contacting customer service twice will get their inquiry sent to the back of the queue, hiding important information in their Instagram stories rather than posting it openly or sending it to customers in an e-mail, continuing to hold big sales and court additional customers whose orders they also won't be able to fulfill in a timely manner) has really put me off the brand, so I ended up ordering a different planner (Clever Fox, in case anyone else is in this situation and looking for something comparable) and will probably have to cancel my Passion Planner order. I like their product, and I like what they say they're about as a company, but their actions in the last month or so just aren't matching up with their stated values for me.
I surprised you find a planner so different from a bullet journal. I feel like they’re largely the same thing just that one has a structure printed out for you already.
ehhm ... i got surprised, not well surprised. you are so fit in bookbinding, styling and more. so far you are buying a planer for about 35 euro? i am doing that by myself. using a costfree template from open office, libre office - and beforr someone is beating me - for the last left over solution from microsoft. i am to adapt the template for my spezial needs, print it out on my own printer, cut in form and at last i am binding this block into an old cover. last time some one took me a ringbook organizer - this makes it so easy! making a stencil template, punching the sheets of paper - and that's all. and there is the possibility to insert more concept sheets if nessescarry. to send you a foto of the workout? tell me if jee or nee. liebe grüsse aus deutschland. tom.
I got myself a cute daily planner and was all set up to make good use of it... Then I cut part of my finger off and couldn't do much for a month. Then I went to Vermont to watch my friends kid while they went on their honeymoon... Then lockdown hit. I still use the planner but it's for writing down my weekly meal plans 🙈🙈 ain't doing anything that needs a real schedule anymore 🤣

If you want to erase larger areas, just hover the paper near a lightbulb. It's just enough heat to do the job.
This video just reminded me why I love passion planner so much. I’m a daily user
I am using 3 months of passion planner (printable) before using 2021 passion planner.
I have found that physically writing something down helps me to remember as I am making new nural pathways in brain
I’m new to passion planner and loving it this far!
I'm so glad that you use the same excercise calendar (blogilates) with me..
I’d like to hear your thoughts about planner vs bullet journalling :)
What are the pros and cons of the two? And which one works better for you in which aspect
Thanks :) 💕
you did it! I got a planner for 2021 and I haven't had a planner in Lord know how long! We'll see how i goes ;)
Waiting for this! A very nice coincidence, I'm eating Passionfruit right now! 😂😂
EDIT: This video was really really good!
They are advertising having a MASSIVE sale starting November 19th (75% off sitewide). So, that may be the time to go for it!
Can you do a video on how to make monthly tabs that are easy to place
AH I GOT THE SAME BLUE ONE FOR THIS YEAR!
Good idea!
I like Monday starts too. Can be so difficult to find sometimes. I like having the whole weekend together. Like why would you split it 🤯
Just wondering...
Could you use an old T-Shirt as a book cover?
Would love to see this done or see if this is possible
Such a nice idea!!
@@plenamagyar7736 thankyou 😊
It's possible to use fabric as book cover indeed! Here's to hoping Jennifer will make a tutorial for us.
@@mabi2727 awesome! I hope so! :)
I would think the thin knit would stretch an awful lot and slide around. Might want to stabilize it with an iron-on interfacing first.
Hi I am a fan and I watch your video everyday
Hello Sea Lemon...
Could you please make a faux leather tn . Im excited to see what you do with this project. Im making one too using a few leather tools I ordered from Ali Express. The ones I made are good too.
Helpful as I consider my 2020 planner! 👍🏿🌸
I am happy that I didn't decide to splurge and buy an expensive planner this year.
(maybe they'll work on those things if a pro points them out ;) )
_(general issues I have, that pops up ATM: I think the content often has too small margins on the page, which makes it uncomfortable to write near the edges. The cover has one extra, thick (protective) plastic "sheet", which I consider to be a bit too small - it's the exact size as the paper which makes the paper stand out since it's spiral bound. This plastic "sheet" could have sharp corners too, so does the spiral. I have made a custom outside cover now though, which you can also buy, but still)_
If it helps, perhaps for 2022, I love my Eule Planner designed and produced by Kerstin Martin. Many bits and pieces included to support a business.
cool review - i have used the passion planner before - loved it - may go back :) - and I cant believe you use the frixions in that heat! when my writing disappeared i stopped using them for important info :)
Love the blue planner so freaking much but went with a black one to add a bunch of stickers 😊 but yeah my 2020 passion planner also looks real empty in the middle there because I lost my job and all structure and motivation for like 5 months.
Jennifer..I love love love your shirt. Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?
I love you Jennifer, love love your all videos!!!💜💗💗💗
U are so relatable
Today is my birthday, thus, a new year start for me today!
I surprised you find a planner so different from a bullet journal. I feel like they’re largely the same thing just that one has a structure printed out for you already.
A bit off topic, but I love that grey and maroon shirt! Where did you get it?
It came in a past stitch fix :)
One of my favourite planners...tfs
oh my god heikala did the pages!!
You should try plansassy.com there new planner on Kickstarter is a hybrid between a regular planner and a bullet journal..it’s 100% bleed proof.
Wow lovely
Just subscribed to your channel. Been watching your content for years thinking I've clicked subscribed but lo and behold, I haven't. Duh!
ehhm ... i got surprised, not well surprised. you are so fit in bookbinding, styling and more. so far you are buying a planer for about 35 euro? i am doing that by myself. using a costfree template from open office, libre office - and beforr someone is beating me - for the last left over solution from microsoft. i am to adapt the template for my spezial needs, print it out on my own printer, cut in form and at last i am binding this block into an old cover. last time some one took me a ringbook organizer - this makes it so easy! making a stencil template, punching the sheets of paper - and that's all. and there is the possibility to insert more concept sheets if nessescarry. to send you a foto of the workout? tell me if jee or nee. liebe grüsse aus deutschland. tom.
Second. I love your videos and they are so relaxing to watch.♥️♥️
I'm hungry for some crafts and notebooks
The passion pens are like the zebra milliners right??
I haven't tried those so I'm not sure 🤔
Hi Jennifer are patreon benefits available to Australian residents? Juliana
Yes! ☺️

They're on sale right now, just bought mine for £7 if anyone's thinking of buying one
Could you please send me the link to the planner you chose? Thank you!

Welcome to the Passion Planner community! #PashFam 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
Does this paper have tooth?
I got myself a cute daily planner and was all set up to make good use of it... Then I cut part of my finger off and couldn't do much for a month. Then I went to Vermont to watch my friends kid while they went on their honeymoon... Then lockdown hit. I still use the planner but it's for writing down my weekly meal plans 🙈🙈 ain't doing anything that needs a real schedule anymore 🤣
I love the frixion pens and highlighters, but it seems like they run out of ink so quickly 😭
I noticed that too, I need to buy more 🙃
@@SeaLemonDIYthankfully a number of colors have refills!
