I can generally steep Shou Pu-Erh about 4 to 5 times. Dark roasted oolongs also stand up pretty well with short infusions. Those large, mature leaves make a difference in the cup.

Like he mentioned in the main comment, this is subject to debate. But I would say that oolong‘s are built to be re-infused several times.
This is so new to me, because I only drink tea bags, my whole life. And it was just one and done. One and done all the time.
My session is normally two infusions and that is it. It’s normally I don’t want to drink the same Tea three times. Lol.
