Things may seem hopeless, but perhaps hopelessness is merely arrogance - an arrogance in your beliefs that there is no hope. You cannot see, and you cannot know what the future holds. And thus, ironically, feeling hopeless becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because you have already given up on the future. In our world, the presence of something is more likely than the presence of nothing.
