No Offence, but may I remind you, there is no Hamilton Movie. it is just a recording of the musical. all credit should go to Lin Manuel Miranda. have a good day! :)
I've heard many theories saying that the reason Eliza was already wearing black when she arrived during Stay Alive (reprise) was because she just came from Peggy's funeral. Honestly this makes the song even more sad-
That's a great theory! I hadn't thought of that, though it would make sense. Peggy did die that same year as Philip, and given the way the musical often condenses time and events, it would make sense. At the very least, Eliza could still be in mourning for Peggy. Heck, I even noticed in later songs that Jasmine Cephas Jones is often up on the second level of the stage, wearing her white 'storytelling' dress (as I call it) from the beginning of the musical and with her hair up (as she wore it while playing Peggy, as opposed to having it down when playing Maria), so that can add to the idea that Peggy is dead and Eliza had been in mourning for her when she ran to Philip's side. Historically, Eliza wasn't there when Peggy died, nor did she attend the funeral. Hamilton was present, though, and even wrote to Eliza to tell her of Peggy's death. But the musical has played with the history a bit in the name of storytelling, so it could work. :)

I just thought of how in the musical Alexander Hamilton is said in a quicker pace to show he doesn’t wait, but Aaron burr’s is said slowly even adding sir to show he waits and has patience. If you look at the lighting in The Reynolds Pamphlet when the camera is above Hamilton the lights go in on him in a white colour, then pulse out in a blue colour. This could represent the anger that he feels towards himself for what he has done (white light) and the sadness that is radiating from him (blue light) as he figures out that he has completely ruined his and Eliza's marriage by making it public knowledge that he's had an affair. It could also be used to represent the sadness that he feels from remembering his childhood in the previous song.
I was concerned about which rights were sold, and did some googling. Lin Manuel Miranda sold the rights to the movie of the musical, and a potential future regular movie, but nothing else. The Disney empire does not own the stage show or music itself. Which makes sense, because the stage show and music are worth way more than the $75,000,000 that they paid.

the same thing they did with angelica and giving us perspective they do in the room where it happens by having them move around just to land in their original spots as the song plays. so you can see Madison chatter than tap his temple while alexander and burr is talking just for when its Madison and Jefferson talking you notice it
I can say hands down this is the best filmed musical ever. I know their are some contenders at first but when the director gets down to the details of why it really blows it out of the park
During The Reynolds Phamplet, all I can see was Thayne. Everything blocked and I just see Thayne then him on the floor with the paper just falls on his face-
I always loved the birds eye view during The Reynolds Pamplet. Watching Hamilton’s reputation go up in flames as the rest of the cast literally throw it in his face and humiliate him, dancing around him, celebrating while he is standing in the middle, unmoving, just taking it Also, I’m glad they censored it. I like clean media
It was almost expected by the French nobility of the time that men would have relationships with other men. I think the only reason it’s even ambiguous is the flowery language that people used well into the 19th century. They frequently used phrases that we would interpret as sexual that weren’t.
There were some bits that I didn’t like, though. During the end of Battle it Yorktown, the mics weren’t up enough for Hamilton, Lafayette and co. when they are on top of the boxes and saying, “Freedom for America, freedom for France...” “Gotta start a new nation, gotta meet my son...” “We won. We won. we won. We won...” Also, King George doing his understated “Everybody ...” I like the recorded version better. There were a few other bits. But those were ones that made it not quite as good.
OH MY GOSH i had a HEART PALPITATION when i saw one of my older comments in this video!!! what an insane coincidence!!! thank you so much for including me (: i clicked on the video to see what you had to say about Hamilton & Laurens and i wasn’t disappointed. they had the most *intimate* of “iNTiMaTe FriEnDsHiP”s i have ever known if 🤣

Funny, but I DID notice the lingering, longing looks between them, but thought it was just ME gay PROJECTING LOLOL. I MUST research that angle. Did Eliza know I wonder. Did Angelica??? How about the guy that killed his son in the duel? Maybe that's one of the things Philip was defending?

May we have a timestamp? I don't speak German so I missed it.

As an Avenue Q fan I love it!
Not gonna lie, the first time I saw Hamilton the musical, I was convinced that laurens and Hamilton were going to get married
i now demand a sequel to hamilton where it’s the same but hamilton and laurens get married. i honestly want to see that
I kept thinking that they would kiss
5:57 I could very much be wrong but I think that's the dancer who also played Charles Lee, so it makes sense he would be rolling in the pamphlets to taunt Hamilton.
Actually that’s Thayne who plays Samuel Seabury
@@nicksdaydream2999 fair enough! I stand corrected
Hamilton should get an Oscar!! Outstanding filmmaking techniques that enhances the trnsitions from stage musical to film, not like some queasy remakes for film.
But it's not a fil.
Sorry, film. It isn't.
The content I needed!
ya
I didn’t pick up on the looks between Hamilton and Laurens, but there are fairly obvious lyrics in at least one song
The censored expletives doesn't "make it more accessible", it's just Disney flexing
No, that’s not how ratings work.
"who films, who edits, who directs your story" what a great line lmao
the same thing they did with angelica and giving us perspective they do in the room where it happens by having them move around just to land in their original spots as the song plays. so you can see Madison chatter than tap his temple while alexander and burr is talking just for when its Madison and Jefferson talking you notice it
Now I can say Hamilton is my favourite movie AND musical
Same, it's my comfort movie because it's music (calming), history (somewhat educational), it's 2 1/2 hours of fun, and it's Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Everyone saying Hamilton is gay when he still loved Eliza too lmao, has anyone ever heard the term bisexual?
Hamilton and Laurens did send some pretty interesting letters
I can say hands down this is the best filmed musical ever. I know their are some contenders at first but when the director gets down to the details of why it really blows it out of the park
I'm pretty sure the dude who was "writhing on the floor" was Samuel Seabury getting his revenge on Hamilton for ruining his big moment.
‘Even if you already know every line of the show by heart’
I feel called out
Her hair is gorgeous 😍💕
Anyone else just watching the pamphlet fall on Thayne’s face over and over again in #6? It never gets old 😂😂
During The Reynolds Phamplet, all I can see was Thayne. Everything blocked and I just see Thayne then him on the floor with the paper just falls on his face-
And this is why I’m allways sad for not having disney plus
When I saw the title I was like I will never be satisfied!!
I’m a simple gal, I see Hamilton I click
Tbh same😂
SCHADENFREUDE!
Don't know if that was an Avenue Q reference or not, but I liked it anyways.
I love the choreo in Reynolds pamphlet it’s all improv so they just get to mock him and I’m pretty sure everybody twerked at least once
I always loved the birds eye view during The Reynolds Pamplet. Watching Hamilton’s reputation go up in flames as the rest of the cast literally throw it in his face and humiliate him, dancing around him, celebrating while he is standing in the middle, unmoving, just taking it
Also, I’m glad they censored it. I like clean media
_i had been waiting for the hamilfilm for a long time, but then disney+ isn't available in our country._
Saame! Where you livin? South America for me. They're so laaame!
Entire video is practically “difference between acting in theatre and film - and what gets picked up”
I Love HAMILTON
Some People believe that Alexander Hamilton was in a love triangle with Lafayette and Lauren’s
It was almost expected by the French nobility of the time that men would have relationships with other men. I think the only reason it’s even ambiguous is the flowery language that people used well into the 19th century. They frequently used phrases that we would interpret as sexual that weren’t.
Oh interesting
Susa is le best no
Susa is le best both
Amy B 18th century 👍🏻
There were some bits that I didn’t like, though. During the end of Battle it Yorktown, the mics weren’t up enough for Hamilton, Lafayette and co. when they are on top of the boxes and saying, “Freedom for America, freedom for France...” “Gotta start a new nation, gotta meet my son...” “We won. We won. we won. We won...”
Also, King George doing his understated “Everybody ...” I like the recorded version better.
There were a few other bits. But those were ones that made it not quite as good.
OH MY GOSH i had a HEART PALPITATION when i saw one of my older comments in this video!!! what an insane coincidence!!! thank you so much for including me (: i clicked on the video to see what you had to say about Hamilton & Laurens and i wasn’t disappointed. they had the most *intimate* of “iNTiMaTe FriEnDsHiP”s i have ever known if 🤣
We will always be satisfied
I have never so many likes
5:41 in the middle at the top a paper is on their face haha
I think Jonathan Geoff does the absolute best seizure impersonations.🤣🤣🤣 Also I feel like Bith alexander and Eliza have a very sad life.
Soooo Alexander and John were in an EMOTIONALLY Gay relationship or a FULL ON, DOWN LO Gay relationship?? Funny, but I DID notice the lingering, longing looks between them, but thought it was just ME gay PROJECTING LOLOL. I MUST research that angle. Did Eliza know I wonder. Did Angelica??? How about the guy that killed his son in the duel? Maybe that's one of the things Philip was defending?
"it's raining pamphlets, hallelujah!"
jesus i laughed a lung out-
Honestly, I just think that Lauren’s was just Hamilton’s very best friend. I LOVE my best friend but not romantically.
I love how the maker of this video ships ham and laurens what a legend
Just turn captions during the movie version and you’ve got yourself a musical! 😁😁😁
Karaoke? 😆
No one:
Me at 1:00 in the morning watching Hamilton for the 22764628th time: OMG HAMILTON AND LAWREN'S ARE IN LOVE.
lol in satisfied you can also see the flower on her chest disappearing when it switches cameras. little oopsie
Alexander Hamilton: Laurens i love you
historians: what good friends
*The last time I was this early Hamilton still didn't met burr.*
:D
The guys dancing on the floor in the Reynolds pamflet during the Ariel shot got a pamflet to the face 😂
I felt that Dear Theodosia Reprise wasn't in the Hamilfilm, I noticed it when I watched with my family. I don't know if there was a mistake at the moment we saw it and they fixed it later or if it was something else...
No it's a cut song that was removed or workshop verison on hamilton off broadway.
It was in the workshop, but no one understood it very well, so it was cut from the broadway production.
I love the refrence to Who lives , Who dies, Who tells your story at the beginning
What-? Hamilton is pg 13 rated on disney plus?
For me it shows that it is pg6 on didney plus
First time i thought was choptisck, them i realize was spit. But groff is really talent.
The 'is my wife you deside to''fuuuu...' is priceless
Wow, very interesting! Great video :)
Many thanks - glad you liked it! 😊
