Just found out, they are investigating and Ricky might get suspended, stop these press conferences, the player just sits there while coaches get asked question after question, something interesting actually got said and now we are investigating this!? How ridiculous.

Say what you will about Ricky and the raiders. The guy wears his heart on his sleeve and his passion is great for the game. The fact he gets fined is bs and credit to him for continuing to speaking his mind. Whether you support raiders Panthers or any other club, he's pure entertainment
Emmanuel Yoonn The saying "he wears his heart on his sleeve" simply means he has the maturity of a 5yo brat when he doesn't get what he wants. You say he is entertaining, I say he is an embarrassment. This is the guy who abused and threatened the referee the day after Australia lost a World Cup final to New Zealand. Yeah, really entertaining. A coach is supposed to inspire his players and be an authority figure they can respect; all Stuart ever does is teach his players that it doesn't matter if you lose, as long as you can find something to use as an excuse. Between the Roosters, Parra, Cronulla and Canberra, Stuart has missed the finals 11 of the past 15 seasons, but racked up $120k in fines insisting that it's always someone else's fault. Anyone else with his record would be long gone.

This was just his way of avoiding the fact he lost to a weakened panthers team, at home, when Raiders needed it and Panthers didn't... not to mention the crying last time they met when the Panthers ruffled Tapine after scoring a try. I expected more from the Raiders.

@Jacob no, no he won't. The club will back him up. I think everyone is sick of some of the unnecessary rubbish in the game. The NRL are, just look at how many sin bins and send off's there are. So when a coach basically backs that position, but possibly make a mistake, I think he will be backed.
He might not lose his job but I guarantee you this he will settle out of court , defamation of character.

He has a right to his own opinion, but to say the things he said in that forum is inappropriate and and says more about Ricky as person and a NRL coach. He can't control his emotions and takes no responsibility for what his role is in the Raiders organization. Keep that personal stuff to yourself and speak with the other individual man to man. He's nothing more than a bully trying to take the light of a kid that got to have his first start in the Panthers jersey 🤦 Upset that Salmon got one over him again and Ricky couldn't keep his jealously in 🫣 Nothing more than a child.

@@carloreid3545 Stuart had a fight with salmon's father after Stuart ran onto the field to abuse young Salmon when he was 12 YEARS OLD, and Stuart resented a tackle Salmon made on Stuart's son. Seriously, your team has just had its season ended with a whimper, and a professional coach thinks it's appropriate to let fly over a ten year old personal agenda? Canberra deserve better. Stuart is just an angry little man who should have been fired years ago. He has missed the finals 11 of the last 15 years despite having multiple chances with four big clubs. Any other coach with his record would have been sacked years ago, but Ricky bluffs people into thinking that because he talks angry he must know how to coach. Remember, this is the same coach who lost the World Cup Final with Australia, and then abused the referee and called him a cheat in front of witnesses the next day. What a class act.

@@daleviker5884 This is not true. It's a lot deeper than that. I knew of this situation back when it occurred. I was a ref in shire from 2009 to 2018. Not going to go into it here, but it is pretty foul what Salmon did and said even at that age (for context Sticky's daughter is autistic to give you a bit of a clue). Sticky should not have said what he said in the press conference though. Definitely let his emotions get the better of him. I can't say I would have did any better, god knows how I would have reacted if my family went through that.

What's so great about it? If you like hearing trash talk you can sit with fans. Coaches in professional sport are supposed to have more intelligence and more discipline than fans. In the major professional sports in the world, like the the EPL or the NFL, this would never happen, and if it did, it would be his last day as a manager.

I like Ricky Stuart because if I was an NRL coach I would behave exactly the same way as him in press conferences - probably even more vociferous. I like his style - he's passionate. Doesn't mean he's always right but if I support a specific team I want a coach who has the genuine passion of Ricky Stuart.

Ricky needs a 7 that knows whats required and can utilise all their team mates around the park. There are halves in the lower grades but not getting ago due to clubs poor selection and no balls to make the decision to drop players.

In the 59th minute, Salmon kicked out of a tackle and hit Sterling in his meat and two veg, and also for good luck managed to kick him in the head when Sterling dropped to the ground in pain. Wasn’t a good look at all. Dare say he will get a couple weeks off Salmon.

Having watched NRL360 it sounds like SALMON has some serious skeletons for bullying and if so, he's on a way to some tough lessons
It's funny how I can't find a video of the nut shot anywhere, almost like Penrith has a guardian angel. Also in my time searching I found out our man Jaeman has always been a bit of a grub, high range drink driving charges I think Ricky might be on to something.

You can tell the pressure of having a solid roster for 10 years and making the finals 4 times is getting to Ricky.
These press conferences are painful, as are the half time interviews.
The same questions elicit the same shitty answers time after time after time.
And then Ricky throws out a line that attacks a guy when he was a kid without explanation, when he’s not there to defend himself, and in front of an entire sporting public. I assume it will overshadow the news that CBR at home were unable to beat an under strength Panthers side.
We need honesty in the game though, let's not kid anyone here, honesty and being able to speak out is very very important.

Starling had a received an obvious up movement between the legs. Let's ask the question why the referee did not pursue a sent off for this action. As Ricky says it's not on. Ricky Stuart has deep convictions and cares deeply for his club team members, Ricky never holds his sense of justice back. The Raiders have done extremely well to get this far into competition considering many losses early in the season. It's a long shot to win every game to get into finals, but I wouldn't discount the possibility of being there come finals.
Ricky fired off because he had a fight with Salmon's father at a junior football game ten years ago. He just used this as an excuse to let fly over a ten year old grudge. What a top class professional, give me a break.
